Episode 2

Bio: Track field star Devin Arnold, found hanging from a tree on college grounds comes to Grace for help to finding his killer that was never  convicted.

~ The Myers Kitchen ~

" can you believe that I'm up this early making blueberry muffins for our two newest roommates" I mention to Andrew who was stuffing his mouth with grapes.

"Hmm" was all he said while his eyes was glued to the television.

Putting the first batch inside the oven I wipe my hands as I walked over to stand in front of him.

With me being only 5'2 and Andrew 6'2 I wasn't blocking anything.

" what has your attention that bad to where you wasn't listening to me" i pouted.

His eyes then focus on my puppy dog eyes before he reach his arms out.

I walked into them before shoving my face into his shirt.

" baby you know I wouldn't ignore you I'm just catching up on the latest news"

" mmm it's okay" i said sniffing his shirt " babe you smell Smokey"

I lifted my head as his eyes was still glued to the news

" yeah about that me and the guys had to put out a big fire in the building on Main Street"

Snapping my fingers I knew what he was talking about.

" do your sister and her finance always sleep this late in the day?" Andrew question while looking up the steps.

Placing the hot muffins onto a plate I giggle to myself.

" my sister yes but It's only 11:30 babe"

Turing around to grab a glass of Milk I jump as I seen a man that appears to be hanging by his neck on a tree branch.

" Grace, hey what's wrong" Andrew rush to my side before jumping back as he seen the shattered glass on the floor.

" Grace? Baby what is it?" He said with more worry in his voice.

All I did was stare outside the kitchen window as his body hung there.

" an..Andrew do you see that" I pointed.

" see what?"

" it's a guy hanging from our tree" I started to take shallow breath as I felt my hands going up to my neck

" come here, Come here you need to sit down"

Andrew threw his boots on before walking back into the kitchen and scooping me up bridal style and walked me inside the living room.

He then walked back into the kitchen to grab the broom to sweep up the glass.

Walking back over he passed me a cup of ice water as he sat on the arm of the couch.

Moments pass by before Melissa and Kent came down the steps full speed. One was holding a bat and the other was holding a shoe.

" what's going on down here, Grace your very pale" said Melissa as she smirk

" shut up" I rolled my eyes

" everything is fine you guys my wife just had a small scare that's all"

It was like I could still feel my neck getting tighter as some sort of rope was causing me to have this panic attack.

I wasn't sure what I was dealing with but whoever did this crime wanted to make sure that he was dead.

~ Amazing Grace Clothing Store ~

" come on you know you can tell me what happen to you earlier at the house Grace"

Ever since the guys went off to work I decided to take my sister out on the city to visit my shop.

Now I wasn't so sure whether that was a good idea or not.

I also never told Melissa about my gift that I have and right now I wasn't ready to tell her just yet.

" I'm fine okay I just had a little panic attack that's all. I thought Andrew was going out of state with the crew this weekend"

Melissa brows flare up as she gave me this grin.

" oohh you didn't want your hubby going anywhere huh? Your such a..."

" hey don't start" I cut her off by throwing a shirt at her.

" I'm just playing hell I can't wait until me and Kent seal the deal"

" oh yeah? Why's that?" I question.

" well so we can have passionate, hot, steamy sex like you and drew have"

I drop my mouth as I watch Melissa laugh her ass off.

" hey we don't be that loud do we?" I asked now embarrassed.

" hmm with his groans that sounds so sexy by the way, and your loud moans you probably made the neighbors want to have sex" she joked

We both laughed out loud as a couple of customers started to walk in.

I slid my hand across my lips as a sign to tell my sister to keep quiet for just a few seconds.

20 Minutes later......

" thank you for shopping at amazing Grace please don't hesitate to come see us again." I said before waving them bye.

" thank you so much" said one of the elderly lady.

Once they left i then put my attention back on my crazy ass sister.

" how come you haven't had sex with Kent then?"

She rolled her eyes before helping me fold some clothes.

" because he wants to wait till we get married. He said that's the right way to go"

I just laughed as I knew that was very hard for my sister to do.

The more we talked and catch up on life, I felt a strong heavy energy that made its way through me and into the back of the store.

I was trying to catch some air but I couldn't.

" finish that up for me please I'll be back" i asked Mel as I tried to stand to my feet.

" Um okay, and I better get paid for this too" she yelled.

" of course you will" I kept my hand on the wall as i slowly made my way towards the room we keep our inventory.

The darkness took over before i reach my fingers on the wall to feel for the switch.

Turing on the light I jump a bit as I wasn't expecting to see him again.

" hi my name is Grace myers and I can help you if that's what you want" I said nervous.

His head hung down before I watch his hands lift up and pull his head up for him.

I took in a deep gulp as his face was beating up really badly.

" then help me find my killer" he whisper before he disappear.

" hey you..... um nevermind" said Melissa as she noticed me standing in the middle of the room.

Now I know why he left in a hurry.

We pulled into the driveway as I went to go unlock the front door and Melissa carried the food in.

" mmm something smells lovely" Andrew approach from out the kitchen.

" it's probably me" I tease as he lean down so I could stand on my tippy toes to give him a kiss.

" ahhh too cute" said Melissa

" hey I missed you too"

Looking over my shoulder I seen Kent scoop my sister into his arms as she wrap hers around his neck.

Love was definitely in the air tonight but as for me I looked past my husband to see the guy hanging from my tree again.

" babe you want to grab plates" said drew as he took the Chinese food into the living room and everyone else followed.

" huh, yeah sure" walking closer to the window I wipe the foggy glass a little to see a jacket laying on the grass.

Thinking this could be a clue of where I could start I grab the plates and walked into the living room.

" wait where you going?" Andrew asked with his brows low.

" yeah we was just about to start this new show" Melissa added.

" uh I'll be right back I forgot my phone in the car" I lied as i turn on my heels and walked out the front door.

The winds was starting to pick up more and I clench onto my sweater a little tighter.

Pulling my hair behind my ears I walked over to see that the jacket was still laying there.

Picking it up I turned it over so that the inside was facing me.

I then search the pocket where I found a badge.

" is this what you wanted me to find?" I whisper to myself.

Now that I had a name I quickly walked back into the home.

" whew the winds a bit of a fighter tonight" I made conversation as I tried to rush the jacket and myself up the steps.

Walking into my bedroom I grab Andrew laptop before sitting down and doing some searching.
