     ~Lachlan's P.O.V.~

It's a nice bright Summer day. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming... It's days like these that makes you want to stay outside all day, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying life. And there's nothing I want more to do than head outside to the pond in my backyard, and go for a nice swim. I've been cooped up inside all day, and I'm itching for the poor tutor go outside. So why don't I? It's simply really, because as of lately, it's been reported there's a serial killer somewhere in the area. So, of course, the local authorities demand everyone stay inside until further notice. Which is why here I am, trapped inside on a wonderful day. I guess the only upside is that there's no risk I'll get killed by a super venomous spider or snake or something. I shiver a the thought of the creepy creatures.

I'm snapped from my thoughts as I hear loud crashing from downstairs, followed by glass shattering. Panic shoots through me for a moment, until I hear the familiar voice of my British friend call defeatedly.

"Ehm, Lachlan... I may or may not have dropped a few plates trying to grab them.... Help?" Vikk begs from downstairs, an a smile creeps onto my face.
"Vikk, this is the third time this week you've broken something! I told you to get my help before trying to get something up high!" I holler back down at him, starting to make my way down into the kitchen.

And then before I can comprehend what's happening, a door to one of the guest rooms swings open, and I'm being pulled inside. A hand clamps over my mouth to muffle any cry, and I'm confused beyond words to see Vikk behind me. He removes his hand from my mouth, and my brain instantly kicks into overdrive, trying to figure out what the fudge is going on. I am 110% sure I didn't just imagine that crashing, and Vikk calling for me to help... But here he is standing right in front of me. And last I checked, people didn't have the ability to teleport.

"Vikk? But I thought you were-"
"Shhh!" Vikk interrupts, pressing a finger to my lips. "Don't go down there...

     I heard it too."
