Making their way through the halls that were flooding at a faster rate than anyone was comfortable with, the lights that were leading the way suddenly started to flicker. Scarlett turned and looked behind her, there was Victoria only she looked weaker, half of her face looked skelital. Dodge and Munder were about to go and try to stop her. Scarlett put her hand on both their arms as she shook her head.

"You two take them and find the hall that leads down, we're gonna have to swim for it. I can hold her off, she's weaker so if I can left this angel side take over maybe she can buy us more time." Scarlett says as she can hear Charles directing the others in the right direction.

"What about you? How will you know where to go?" Munder asks with a bit of panic in his voice.

"Trust me, I'll find my way. Now go." Scarlett says giving them both a light nudge.

They did as she said, knowing if Jack found them there would be true hell to pay. However they also saw what she was able to do to Victoria and didn't want to make the angel side of her upset. Scarlett stood tall, hoping the angel inside of her was braver than she was.

"You tried to kill me, it will not do you any good. I died long ago." Victoria said as she took a few steps closer to Scarlett.

"So have I." Scarlett replied as she felt a surge of energy go though her. "Yet even in death it seems you escaped you doomed fate, one I will put you back in."

Victoria froze only for a moment when Jack appeared before her. He looked weaker than Scarlett had ever seen him. Was she feeding off him? Was that even possible? Scarlett's expression did not change. She showed no interest in Jack and all of her focus was on Victoria.

"You are minions of death, however showing up to claim a life premature is the reason I was created. I am to prevent this, you think you've won. Angels can blend in much easier than you demons could ever imagine. Have you not noticed if your mark does go upon the skin of the innocent, it disappears not even a hour later. This whole ship, was a trick." Scarlett says with the slightest grin.

Victoria looks around the small hall they are in, Scarlett wasn't sure if Victoria would believe her. So she held her hand forward and the water before her parted and created a path to both Jack and Victoria.

"This vessel does not know my true power. The power of which I will end you, both if I have to." Scarlett speaks as her now ice blue eyes light up and the water around them freezes in place.

"We have just as much right to claim souls, you can't save everyone." Jack spoke up as he looked at the ice shards pointed right at him.

"After death, if they are truly evil. Not before, nor causing their lives to end before their time." Scarlett said as she lifted her hand to the wall before them.

There in the water, a scene played of what happened to the last ship Jack was on. How the crew members poisoned the people on the cruise ship. The gold that was hidden from everyone in the depth of the boat. The line that went through the others who had not been poisoned. The whole boat in chaos as the crew members were killing everyone.

"I had nothing to do with that." Victoria spoke up and with the snap of her fingers, she disappeared.

"Do unto the youngest of mine, you do unto me." Scarlett said and Jack looked at her completely gob smacked.

"You were there? That's impossible." Jack yells as the top of his lungs.

"I watched in horror, the man who claimed to love this vessel cause so much chaos and pain. To kill not only for gold, but for his sentence. She couldn't believe it." Scarlett spoke in a mocking tone.

"Shut up! She isn't here! She is dead! This isn't real!" Jack yelled as he put his hands over his ears.

Waving her hand, the scene in the water faded away. Walking forward she looked at the poor excuse of whatever Jack was before her. She looked down on him as he tried to compose himself.

"Deep down, this is all there is. You had a soul and lost it, you are nothing. You will never be anything. Not even I would save you, in the words of mortals. You dug your own grave." Scarlett said as she turned and was about to walk away.

"Foolish mortals? Is that all humans are? Just toys for angels and demons to play with?" Jack spoke up causing Scarlett to pause and look back at him. "We mean nothing to any of you, we try to survive this hell called earth and when we find one small thing to love or be happy about, it's taken away from us. Tell me angel, how is that fair?"

"When did anyone ever say life was fair? You should know that better than anyone. You cheat life every time you take a soul before it's time. This vessel, she saw you hook that woman in the red dress and mark her. It was then she vowed to end you. That is why this vessel was recreated, to end you." Scarlett said as Jack jumped up at what sounded like an explosion.

"Then end me, do it now. Make sure I can never mark another human soul. Do it!" Jack yelled at Scarlett.

"After you kill Victoria. That is the only time I can truly defeat you. With two of you on here you feed from one another, two against one isn't the best fight to go into." she replied as she turned and began to walk away from Jack.

"Damn you angel! You want me to end her for you! Do what you were made for?!" Jack yells but her figure had already disappeared.

Scarlett swam right to the flooding room that the others were in, they looked tired and scared out of their skins. As they should have, there was no guarantee they would live through this. Then angel inside Scarlett felt bad for her, she knew Jack would try to sway her to his evil side but as long as she was there, that would never happen. Blinking Scarlett looked around in shock, not remembering how she got to where she was.

"You ready? We got to flood this room to get to the others. Everyone get ready!" Charles called out to the group.

Munder and Dodge went to Scarlett and prepared to hold their breath. Charles opened the flood valve and the water came flooding in. Alex held onto his father but looked at Scarlett for comfort. She smiled at him trying to reassure him everything would be ok.

Finally the water was at the level where everyone took a deep breath and went underwater waiting for the hatch to burst open to the other room. Munder and Dodge watched as Scarlett kept her eyes on the hatch praying it would open soon. Alex however started to panic when he felt something grab his leg. Looking behind him, Scarlett saw what looked like a long black arm holding his shoe. Swimming past them, Scarlett grabbed Alex and pulled with all her might. Dodge and Munder joined fighting off the thing that only turned out to be a cord.

Charles came down and gave a good yank and Alex was free, just as the hatch broke open. Water flooded into the next compartment. Everyone was transferred through the hatch to the next room and then the next two. Finally they exited the last one through a door Charles had found.

Victoria watched in what looked like a mirror from the ballroom as she tried for the tenth time to mark a human. It didn't work, the mark would begin to fade the minute she removed her hand. That damn angel was right, it was all one big trick. Jack too tried to mark bodies but his mark wouldn't hold either.

"She is a pain in the ass. I will kill her before the sun comes up." Victoria comments as she throws down the hand she had been holding.

"You know how to kill an angel? Even I don't believe that." Jack scoffs clearly not believing her.

"The angel maybe there but the vessel is mortal. Kill the vessel and the angel has to leave the body." Victoria smiled as she turned and walked out of the ballroom.

That was one way to accomplish something, but she had Dodge and Munder to guard her. Jack groaned frustrated and then made his way out trying to find her again. They were in the engine room, they were trying to make it through the last step to get out. Jack sighed because he knew there was no way Victoria would let Scarlett escape. They had managed to get to the propeller room and was about to reverse the way the propeller's spun. Scarlett must have heard something because she walked away from the group. Jack appeared before her and held her back.

"What are you doing?" Scarlett asked him in shock.

"You may have an angel inside of you but you have a mortal body. If she can kill that, then the angel will be forced to leave." Jack said as he looked around the room trying to find Victoria.

Scarlett paused, he was right. She then looked behind her and was surprised to see everyone was standing still, like they were frozen. Pulling on Jack's jacket she turned him to look that way.

"Shit. She's gonna reset us." Jack sighed.

"Reset us? What do you mean?" she asked completely confused.

"Re start the day, so she can try to kill you sooner." Jack said as the room around them began to swirl.

"Jack!" Scarlett yelled then everything blacked out.
