Chapter Nine

The large Mansion was dark and quiet. The only sound was from the drifting wind that softly howled throughout the silent manor.

After the previous events at the asylum the raven haired lad had kept a considerable distance with the ghost that haunted the Mendoza Manor.

This trifled the Girl and at night her loathing spirit would constantly pass the narrkow halls.

Her fading mind seemed quite disturbed at times which proved to be quite troublesome, she would forget where she was, who she was and the simple fact that she was no longer amongst the living.

But the odd behavior was hardly noticed by either of the lads that could see her, for their careers had taken them outside of their homes for quite a while as they were on tour with the rest of the band members.

Although through the course of time the raven haired lad had started to develop some sentimental feelings for the girl and profoundlessly denied them it would be a taboo love story, forbidden and wrong.

Yes the living fell in love with the dead, it wasn't something he could prevent, they both had common interests and there was no need to deny the fact that she was beautiful aside from her real state, a bloody corpse was all that had been left of her and although the feeling was mutual, dead and living are two things that shouldn't be mixed.

A troubled lingering soul with no future, no meaning in the cruel world shouldn't love a living human who has a chance to live and fulfill his life purpose.

As she made her way down the halls of the deserted home there were sounds and the sound of the door opening.

"Shhh." There was a loud shushing sound, she looked around the corner of the hall, two men had entered the currently empty home.

She cautiously stepped on the floor the boards creaking loudly. "You hear that?" One said in a low whisper looking around seeing her.

She let out a small squeal and turned around running down the hall. "Get her before she calls the police." The blonde one yelled running after her.

As he ran down the hall he noticed that for some odd reason the hall seemed never ending.

She glanced back her brown eyes filled with fear flashbacks of how she had been captured, of the adrenaline that had pumped through her body that one night, how she wished she could have run till her feet ached, till she was far away from the two who had captured her.

As the guy chased her the lights began to flicker his heart beat loudly against his chest as he felt cold as he followed her. "Dumbass tackle her!" The other lad yelled pushing his friend aside and tackling her down his eyes trailing down her body as he pinned her down harshly

At that moment she realized, there was no point in resisting, she was already dead there was nothing they could do to her.

She didn't struggle against him her lifeless eyes bore into his dark green ones, for a moment he felt fear.

Like a cold shiver down his spine, the atmosphere felt cold he could feel goosebumps on his skin.

She could feel a cold liquid down her cheeks.

The lads eyes filled with horror as her eyes seemed to melt out of her socket a wicked grin cut into her once smooth face.

He stumbled back as he could smell the rotting flesh.

"Ahhhhh!" He screeched as he shuffled back but couldn't tear his eyes off her.

The empty sockets seemed to look into his soul. His breathing was heavy as he shuffled against the wall.

"Why do you hurt me? Why does everyone hurt me?" Her scratchy broken voice filled the hall.

The lights flickered as she sat up looking at him as she laid in a puddle of her own blood.

"So much pain, what did I ever do? Why can't I just.... Die" she spoke as she stood up slowly approaching him reaching out to him.

"Dan? Dan let's get out of here!" The other guy called out as he ran to his friend who sat with his back against the wall his eyes filled with fear as he looked forward.

He grabbed his friends shoulder, Dan screamed as he tried to get away before realizing , that it wasn't her.

"I don't like this place let's go." The dark auburn hairs lad spoke he could feel the unwelcoming coldness in the hall.

The blonde one looked around nodding as a stumbled to his feet.

"The girl she , she wasn't human." He mumbled as they both hurried to the front door .

"We can talk about that later I just want to get the hell out." The dark auburn haired lad stated as they left out of the front door running down the street not looking back.

The girl stood on the porch looking at them run, running far far away from her deserted home.
