SYNOPSIS

Westview, New Jersey, wasn't exactly a normal town. Its citizens had gotten used to strange occurrences over the years. But even they couldn't ignore the massive popularity of Stupid Cupid!, the dating show filmed right in their backyard. It wasn't just a hit; it was a phenomenon. People tuned in from all over the country, captivated by the magical way the show helped contestants find their soulmates.

At the center of it all was Pluto Amour. Pluto had a knack for bringing people together, but she had no idea how she'd ended up in Westview, let alone on the most-watched show in the country. In fact, Pluto didn't even remember moving to Westview. She was supposed to be a teacher, helping young mutants harness their abilities—not running a dating show. Her memories were scattered, her life before Stupid Cupid! a blurry puzzle she couldn't quite solve.

Things got even stranger when Pietro Maximoff showed up in Westview. One moment, he'd been sitting on his sister Wanda's couch, flipping channels and cracking jokes about Stupid Cupid!; the next, he found himself living in the very town where the show was filmed. Pietro couldn't explain how he got there, but he couldn't shake the feeling that the show's host, Pluto, was someone he knew. He didn't just recognize her face—he felt like they had a deeper connection, one that he couldn't explain but knew he had to uncover.

As the two crossed paths, the strange events in Westview started to intensify. Pluto began to experience flashes of a life she couldn't remember—moments with people and places that didn't seem to fit into her current reality. Meanwhile, Pietro became more convinced that Pluto wasn't just a host—she was a key to figuring out why he was in Westview and what was really going on in the town.

NOTES

-         Before finding herself in Westview, Sloane (aka Pluto) was a teacher at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters!

-         For the sake of the fic, Marvel & X-Men universes are in fact fully connected and Wanda and Pietro are Magneto's kids!!

-         Anyway Sloane & Pietro were in sort of on and off thing in their canon universe!

-         Wanda names her Pluto for her mutation: the ability to manipulate shadows and the souls of others, inspired by Pluto's association with the underworld and transformation. She can control shadows, move through them, or use them as weapons. She can also influence or communicate with the souls of the dead, or temporarily take control of someone's soul to manipulate them. The power is tied to her emotional state; if she is emotionally unstable, her powers can become erratic. The more she uses her soul-related abilities, the more they risk becoming disconnected from their own humanity or losing themselves to the underworld

-         She slowly realizes that something is off when everything starts to glitch: people on the alleged TV show glitching to their "normal" forms (something like the Truman Show!!), hearing whispers of Charles once in a while and how she seems to not be able to fully grasp her powers

-         When everything clicks for her – that she does in fact know Pietro and Wanda from somewhere else (aka the other universe), she tries to convince Wanda to let it all go. But her not being able to do that, Sloane tries to use her powers but at some point Wanda's mind manipulation is too strong for her to handle and she falls under the spell again

-         The next time needs months before Pietro finally convinces her that something is off and she takes her time to grasp on her powers more until she can once again face Wanda!
