7- Come On, Bring The Pain On

Lilac grove

The first thing the little girl noticed, when she made her way down the abandoned path was, that she was in a lilac grove.

The beautiful flowers' intoxicating smell  clouded her mind, making her feel light, the warm sun shining onto the young one making her feel safe.

She danced along the flowers in her pretty violet dress, the blood on her fingers sparkling in the gentle rays of light.

Deeper and deeper into the grove.

The little girl laughed when the fog at her feet began to curl around her ankles, tickling her skin and pulling her deeper into the gardens.

She thought that it was so pretty - the fog that was sparkling in the orange sunlight, washing off the red liquid on her skin.

Little Y/N seemed to wander endlessly, following the fog which was thickening the further she went.

.... until she found herself in a surreal bubble of lilac flowers and sparkling clouds.

Until her mind was spinning from the heady scent and her eyes could barely stay open. She felt as if she was walking through sweet, sweet honey.

"Are you having fun?"

The girl's eyes met the ones of an older boy, man maybe even, who seemed awfully familiar with his dark coat and  round cheeks.

Y/N nodded truthfully, "Everything s' so pretty."

The older boy beamed down at her, "That's true. All these pretty flowers, but you are the prettiest, aren't you?"

She giggled, covering her mouth blushing, watching how the fog curled around the boy's figure in awe.

"Did you get hurt on your way here?" His question confused the girl. Why would he think this, in a  perfect place like this?

"No." She answered.

His eyes wandered to where her hands were and then back up to the little one's face, "You look happy like this."

Little Y/N giggled once more, "I am of course!"

He crouched down, so that he was on one level with her eyes and reached out his hand, "You shouldn't stay here though."

The young one frowned at his outstretched hand, not pleased by his words, "But I like it here!"

"The prettiest things are often the most dangerous ones."  The familiar boy retorted softly, "Come on, Flower. Let's leave."

She gave in hesitantly, putting her  petite, blood stained hand into his larger one, his fingers closing around her's gently.

"Let's leave, Flower." He repeated, smiling.

He sat right next to me when I opened my eyes groaning, and I wasn't that surprised, honestly.

What did surprise me on the other hand was, that I was currently on the roof of what I believed had once been an office block in the old industrial area.

"What the fuck..."

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Hoseok chimed next to me.

I had been laying on the floor, my head resting on what I now realized was his coat, while he sat next to me, leaning his back against a low stonewall.

"What am I doing here? With you?"

"You were about to jump off this roof." Hoseok answered casually, pointing to the edge of the roof a few meters away from us lazily, "Sleepwalking is such a nasty thing, isn't it?"

I stared at him, who talked about it as if it was nothing. As if I hadn't tried to just kill myself while sleeping.

"I've never sleepwalked before." I said, before realizing a quite crucial thing, "You really gonna tell me I 'sleepwalked' all the fucking way from home to this place?"

Hoseok had been staring into nothingness until now, finally turning his head towards me, "You know, a lot of things are possible if ghosts are involved. Especially when they fuck with your mind."

I recalled my dream, which I still remembered clearly, as if I had actually experienced it, "Wa- Was that you? In my dream?"

He smiled, nodding, "You had been such a cute child."

"For all you know, I could've looked completely different. This was just a dream, remember?"

He cocked his head slightly to the side, calculating eyes watching me for a while before answering, "I don't think this is entirely true."

I felt small under his gaze, all of a sudden, feeling the need to look away.

"Tell me..." Hoseok began, "Where did the blood on your body come from?"

I felt like I was about to vomit, turning my head to the other side, "I don't know. Like I said; it was just a dream."

"Of course it was." He made it clear that he didn't believe me, though I was grateful that he didn't say anything more.

"How did you do that - appearing in my dream - anyways?"

"It's actually quite easy if there's a ghost digging around your mind already." Hoseok answered, eyeing me with the hint of a smile, though he didn't explain anything further.

Always acting so mysterious, huh?

Don't get all of this wrong. I didn't trust this man a bit, because I don't usually do that. Of course, he had proven to be reliable, but trustworthy? A whole other story.

I, in fact, didn't know anything about him or how he always seemed to appear in the right moments.

"Anyways" Hoseok broke the silence that arose between us, "We should probably get away from this building. It's literally in danger of collapsing - you have quite a weird choice of go-to places when haunted by ghosts."

I argued that it was by no means my fault, earning a cackle from Hoseok's side, while carefully lifting up his heavy coat, dusting it off before handing it back to him.

He didn't make a move to take it, eyes wandering over my figure with a dirty grin, "Aren't you cold tho?"

Only then I realized that I - of course - was still wearing the clothes I put on before going to sleep; only wearing a thin oversized shirt and shorts hidden underneath it.

I blinked for a moment, before I realized that Hoseok was actually ogling me like an idiot, kicking him agains the shin in return, "Pervert!"

He laughed, getting a few steps away from me, "You can wear my coat if you feel better with it."

I wasn't really ashamed to walk around like that - it was like, 5 am, no one I cared about would see me - but I was actually freezing up right now, so I put the heavy clothing around my shoulders to keep the coldness away from me.

We started walking down the abandoned stair case of the building in silence, my gaze landing on the man besides me. I realized that I had never seen him without his coat before.

He was wearing a white t-shirt over washed out jeans, muscular arms on display. His scary sword rested in a sheath on his belt and a thin silver chain adorned his neck, with an old metal mark.

I wanted to know what the mark meant, but didn't dare to ask.

"You have somewhere to go to?" Hoseok asked, pointedly ignoring my obvious stares. How weird, when he teased me about it just yesterday.

"Uhm..." I thought about it for a moment, "There's a park around here. I think my friend will be there, he probably has something to wear for me."

"You have friends who stay in parks at 5am?" The dark haired asked, eyes glinting in amusement.

"Well, no. Friends is an overstatement." I admitted, pulling the coat tighter around me. How could Hoseok not be shivering right now?

"I see..." He stated with a weird expression, looking downwards as we left the office building behind us.

"Why don't you..." He spoke up but stopped, seemingly searching for the right words, "Why don't you go home to get clothes?"

"I don't really like it there." I sighed, not liking where the conversation was going.

"You're supposed to." He mused.

I gave him a crooked grin, "I've never been good in doing what I'm supposed to."

We reached the park faster than I thought and I reluctantly handed Hoseok his coat, which he took this time.

"Thanks for this and uhm- also for saving me... again."

He beamed brightly, "That's what I'm there for. Have a good day Flower!"

The man turned around, throwing on his coat in a fluid motion, waving me quickly before turning around.

What a strange person he is

Yoongi spotted her a few meters away, which wouldn't've been as surprising if it wasn't for the stranger talking to her with a bright demeanor.

He watched the man's every move, scanned every of his motions.

A cold shiver ran down his spine and he knew one thing for sure; This dude was trouble - and that was coming from a person like him.
