Jay's Secrets Ch. 7

"Well Jay, I'm so sorry. You sort of had this coming when you made your move" I mumbled looking down with a sigh.

"I don't care. Say whatever you want I only want this to end" he said painfully. I picked up my weapon and aimed it straight for... The stack of cards.

"I win! That is the 3rd time... Wow jay you suck" I said grabbing the UNO cards then shuffling them like a boss.

Jay and I having been training each others mental skills with the classic card game UNO. He said that he knew how to play the basics but everyone has their own way of playing it so his skills didn't come to much use.

I chuckled as I set out 7 cards for each of us.

"Can we take a break, I have to go" Jay said.

"Why are you always disappearing?" I questioned furrowing my eyebrows as I paused my movements.

"Because..." Jay mumbled as he quickly got up and walked towards my window.

"Jay, don't you dare!" I shouted turning around quickly following Jay. He walked smoothly and uncaring while I speed walked nervously.

"Jay stop..." I softly whispered.

He climbed onto the window and with out another word leaned outside. My eyes widened and I quickly grabbed his wrist.

"Let me go, Maya" Jay said bluntly.

"You didn't answer my question" I snapped.

"Or maybe you just can't get enough of me, always so stubborn when it comes to us." Jay mocked. My chest suddenly felt tight. I had no ideas what to say! Why am I even thinking about this?!

Mentally smacking myself I heard my conscience whisper stupid multiple times. I couldn't help but agree.

Jay chuckled when I didn't answer as he positioned himself again.

"You so adorable, princess" he began. I suddenly felt heated at my nickname. "I'll be back later, maybe. I might even go missing In the meantime, keep being beautiful" he said with a wink. At that time my heart shattered.

So charming, so cold but warmer than anything. Pale but so full of love and care... And.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MAYA?!?!?!?!

"Please" I mumbled staring at Jay.

"I can't stay any longer you have to let me go... I'm tired" Jay said. Tired, what's that supposed to mean.

"What?"

"Bye" Jay quickly said jumping out the window.

"Why does he have to do that?"

"Let's go to the corner store next! I want to get some Jolly ranchers" Cindy said as we rode on our bikes to the corner store.

"Ugh, the cashier is so nosy. I don't like him" I said as we came to f ىربلاذ and I locked my bike to the pole.

"How come" she said. Shoot, shouldn't have said anything.

"Always asking random questions, it bothers me" I growled. It had been a few days from that day. My worst day ever. Scratch that second worse day every, the first has scarred me permanently.

"Whatever hot stuff, I'll pay for you" Cindy said.

"Thanks" I said as a smiled pulled at the corner of my lips. When we entered the store a sigh escaped my lips and I decided to walk around the place looking at the packages of probably expired food.

Like usual I raced my fingers on the colorful wrappers then turned around and opened the fridge to a bunch of odd juices. some which I've never seen before.

I picked up one of the bottles and looked at the date. "Expires, June 14... 2012" that's so disappointing, that juice could have been worth so much. "Wow"I mumbled putting it back and closing the fridge with my foot as I put my hands in my pockets.

I looked up towards the ceiling just watching the dots bored when suddenly I noticed that a paper hanged lose on the intersection of the wall and the ceiling.

My eyebrows furrowed as I walked closer.

"What the?" I mumbled as my fingers made contact with the paper, I pulled it out and a gasp escaped my lips.

I might even go missing

Jays words rang in my head as the paper dropped onto the floor. I stepped back and shivered.

The paper had an image of Jay. I knew it was Jay and I'm certainly not insane. It had big bold letters saying,

MISSING PLEASE CALL THIS NUMBER IF YOU FIND HIM
Jay Brookems
14 brown hair brown eyes.
6,3

"Maya!" Shouted Cindy, snapping me from my thoughts. I quickly turned around to see Cindy with a small black back of what I believe is candy.

"Go ahead of me I'll ketch up!" I shouted waving a hand for her to leave. At first her head looked up and down in suspicion but then she shrugged her shoulders and walked out.

I quickly bent down and grabbed the paper then rushing out the door. I had to call this number. I wanted to know more and Jay wasn't going to give me anything. Yet he trusts me enough to call me princess without me slapping him.

"Arrrgh!" I growled frustrated I felt like throwing my phone across the room. But I had to control myself. Just one more call.

"Come on, come on! Please picks up" I mumbled tapping my feet against the floor. I looked at the paper again then harshly whipped it down.

I Kew exactly what I was going to say. The person on the other line would greet me and I'd immediately tell him that I knew Jay, even though they probably know he's dead. It was worth a shot though.

I hears the call ring out and the voice mail lady animatedly talk again after about 50 times.

"Crap! Why won't you pick up!" I growled.

"What are you doing" Jay bluntly said behind me I quickly pushed the photo behind my back and my phone into my pocket.

"Nothing, what are you doing"

"I wanted to say sorry for ignoring your question" Jay began, I looked down as I remembered what happened about an hour ago.

"If you really want to know the answer well here it is" Jay mumbled.

"Jay you don't-"

"I have to leave early because I need to rest. In case you haven't forgotten I'm dead, I live in a coffin. It gets cold so I go hear to this house. But in order to haunt. I need energy, light, Electricity. Warmth. I needed you" A gasp escaped my lips. Oh Jay.

"I need sleep, I'm tired" he said leaning into me to give me a hug. I leaned back without a word. If he hugged me he would see the paper.

I don't think he'd be too happy. After seconds of Jay leaning into me to the point where my knees buckled and I had to walk backwards, he opened his eyes and furrowed his brows.

"Why don't you want to hug me?" Jay said almost hurt.

"Uh... Umm... Its just, insecurity. Women these days, am I right?"

"How am I supposed to know, your the only girl I've seen in years" he said. I pretended to find what he said amusing but he didn't seem as entertained as I.

Jay crossed his arms and spread his legs. "What's behind your back" Jay said trying to walk around me but I blocked him. He did the same to the other side but I blocked him again.

"Fine then I'll just go through you" Jay said. My eyes widened.

He can do that?!

I quickly pulled my hands out of my back and pushed Jay away. I tried pulling my hands back but he held my hands tight onto his chest.

I looked straight into his eyes in fear. Why was I scared again?

His eyes trailed to my hands and a smirk began the grow onto his face.

"J-Jay.."

"Its OK" he said he pulled the paper out of my hands and tossed it on the dresser. He then wrapped his arms around me into a hug. A gasp escaped my lips.

"I think, its sweet" he mumbled. My shoulders relaxed as I let out a sigh.

"Did you see the paper" I asked. As I hugged him back.

"Yes, I've seen it for many years. But I don't care about the paper anymore" he said. He pulled apart but I didn't let go as I Continued to hold onto his shirt.

A chuckle escaped his lips at my want to continue hugging him and I immediately released feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Your not going to find who your looking for. She is dead" Jay said.

"Who is she?" I said entwining my hand with jays.

"My mother"
