Chapter 3
Levy's POV
I hum as I finish my HW. I smile and I head to the gaming room where Gajeel and I usually go against each other.
"I'm ready!!"
"So yer ready ta loose," Gajeel says as he appears behind me.
"Actually you are going to loose like always," I say as I smile.
"Yeah right. Let's play," he says.
(TIME SKIP)
"HOW THE HELL DID YA WIN WITH HER," Gajeel yells as I giggle as I defeat him for the 4th time in a row.
"Please Gajeel! Did you forget that I am awesome at this game with that character," I say.
"SO?!"
"Well at least you didn't come in last," I point out, seeing as he came in second every time.
"True...can we team up? Us against the bots," Gajeel ask me.
"Sure! Let's be on the blue team and they can be on the red," I say.
"Sounds great."
So we play some rounds as I team. After some we stop when we hear my parents come home.
"Levy! We are home," my mom call as I go down to greet them with Gajeel behind me.
"Hey Mom! How was work," I ask her.
"It was busy."
"Ok! Hey Dad! How was work," I ask my father as he walks in.
"Busy and a bit hectic. Otherwise fine," he says.
"Ok!"
"How about you go start dinner while we settle in," my mom says.
"Alright," I say as Gajeel and I head to the kitchen.
"So what are we gonna make this time," Gajeel ask me.
"How about soup? I know the perfect recipe," I tell Gajeel.
"Sounds alright. Let's do this," he says.
So we start making the soup.
"Do we have potatoes?"
"No."
"Carrots?"
"Only one," Gajeel replies.
"Alright. Let's make a list with what we need and I will run to the store and get them. While I'm doing that you can get the pots and other things we need."
"Alright."
Levy tells her parents that she is going to get supplies for dinner. They said that it was fine and I hear Lev leave the house. I hum a song as I prep for us to cook. I hear someone gasp and I turn 'round to see Lev's mom there.
"THE POTS ARE FLOAT!!!"
"Yeah no duh Sherlock," I reply.
"KEVIN!! THERE IS A GHOST LIVING IN OUR HOME," she calls to Lev's father.
"Calm down Levy's Mother. I'm a friendly ghost that is Levy's friend. Name's Gajeel," I tell her as I place the pot down.
Kevin, Levy's father comes in and they look at me.
"Hold on, so your the boy who's room is the locked door," Kevin says. "Katie darling, he seams like a nice ghost."
"Ok but, how come we are now hearing about you now? We have lived here for 7 years and we never saw or heard you," Katie tells me.
"That's half my fault. I've always had this small fear that if an adult found me they would get an expert to get rid of me. Or that they would move out and wait for the next family to get rid of me," I tell 'em as I shrug my shoulders. "It's not like I don't trust ya it's just what adults usually do to ghost. I've heard stories from different ghost that have pass by."
"So you can talk to other ghost," Kevin says.
"Yeah. But I'm one of those ghost that can't cross over for some reason so I'm stuck here."
"So where do you meet other ghost," Katie ask me. "Since you can't leave."
"They meet me in my room. One reason why I don't want anyone in there," I explain.
"Oh ok. Well we will leave you to helping Levy prepare dinner," Katie says as she and Kevin leave the kitchen.
I sigh and head back to getting everything we need to make the soup. Shrimp comes back and I explain what happened while she was away. She's happy that her parents know that I'm real an' that I'm not going anywhere. Soon we finish dinner. We all sit at the table and they start to eat. I'm just there to chat with 'em and so that they get to know me. After dinner we clean the table up. I head to my room to chat with the ghost and Shrimp is gonna chill with her parents.
"Hey," a ghost that goes by the name Tom says as I enter my room.
"Sup Tom," I say as I sit on my bed.
"So they know about you," he says.
"Yeah. They are cool with it. So that's good," I tell him.
"That's good. Your parents want to visit you," he tells me.
"Ok. They can come an' see me. I'm free right now," I say as I lay on my bed.
"Ok. I'll go get them," Tom says as he disappears.
Tom is a ghost that can take ghost that already cross over to the living world to see how their descendants are doing. He reappears with my mum an' pops.
"I'll let you guys talk," Tom says as he leaves.
"Gajeel," my pops says.
"Pops. Mum."
We float in an awkward silence, until I speak up.
"So, what do ya want," I ask 'em, knowing they only visit when they have somethin' important to talk 'bout.
"Gajeel sweetly. When are you going to leave Levy and come join us," my mum ask me.
"Did ya forget that I can't crossover? I've tried many times. My purpose on earth ain't up yet," I tell 'em.
"Why don't you try again then son," my father says.
"I don't see the white light. I don't know when I will crossover, but I know that my time here's not up yet. My task is incomplete an' I don't even know what the task is," I tell 'em.
"Gajeel...spirits don't have task. After they die they move on. Let go of this connection and come with us," my mum says.
"I can't. I can't go on. I've been here for 57 years! I couldn't leave the day after I was murdered an' I still can't leave," I tell my parents as they stand there calmly.
"It's all in yer head,"my pops tell me.
"If it's all in my head, then why the hell did I not pass over when I died?!"
My parents look at me, then between each other. I look at 'em suspiciously.
"What are ya not tellin' me," I say bluntly. "Yer hidin' somethin' important. Just tell me. I won't take a lie as an answer," I tell my parents as they sigh an' look at me.
"Gajeel. You're—"
