Violet walked the steps up to her house. "Hey" She smiled to Luke who was perched against a support beam. "hey."

"I'm sorry for over stepping." Violet stopped in front of him. "I just needed to get out.." Luke trails off. "You don't have to say anything.."  She explained.

"Yea, I do. I didn't have many regrets in my life except for running out on my parents. Especially my mom, so, thank you." He looked into her eyes.

"you've helped me connect with my mom, so.. I wanted to do the same for you." Violet lifts her head.

"that was perfect." Luke breathes out before connecting their hands. They both smile, "Ever know how this actually works?" Violet asks.

"No idea." Luke laughs.

"I actually did some research about it." She brings up.

"Research?" He raises his eyebrows.

"Yes... Don't make fun of me." Violet whines.

"Tell me about your said research then." Luke looks down at her.

"It said that, since we've been spending so much time together, that I am somehow attached to your soul and that's how we can touch." She explains to Luke.

"Cool," He wraps his arm around her shoulders, "That was a little interesting relationship you and I had to begin with."

They both chuckle.

"Oh my Gosh, I almost forgot to tell you!" Violet removes his arm, but keeps his hand and takes his other, "Flynn said that the video Julies dad made is trending on YouTube!" She excites, swinging their hands around. Luke chuckles at her excitement, "I'm guessing that's a good thing."

"It means people love our music." She shouts, jumping on him. Luke laughs, catching her. "we'll definitely be getting calls from managers now."

"Hey, uhm..." Luke sets her down, "There's something I have to tell you."

"What is it?" Violet scrunches her eyebrows.

"We figured out that we have unfinished business. That's why we came back as ghosts." He explained.

"And that is...?" She looks up at him.

"We have to play the show that we never got to play."

"The Orpheum." Violet finished.

Luke suddenly stumbled backward into the support beam. "Luke! What's going on? Are you okay?" She rambled.

"We don't have a lot of time." Luke held his side. "Tell me what that was." Violet demanded.

"We did something we shouldn't have. The night we missed the dance, we met this ghost and he put a curse on us. And if we don't do what he says, then those jolts will destroy us." Luke explained.

"You have to do what he says! What does he want?"

"He wants us to be in his house band for eternity. But, if we can play the Orpheum soon, then we can avoid all that and actually cross over."

"Cross over...?" Violet looks up, "like what.. Heaven?"

"That's what were banking on."

"So.. It's either you cross over, be in his band for eternity, or be destroyed by those jolts?"

"yea..."

"That's just great..." Violet looks down before running into her house.

"Lottie!" Luke calls.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Violet curls her head into her legs, surrounded by a bunch of crumpled paper balls. A stressed and hurt look etches across her face. It's quiet for a good 10 minutes before her phone buzzes, making her jump. She checks the text she has;
Juls: Come over! I wanna get my mind off it and I know you do too.
Vi: Fine, I'll be over in 5. Can we just sulk together?
Juls: Fine by me.
Vi: Great.
Violet brushed off all the papers around her, grabbed the nearest oversize jacket and song book, and then left off to Julies house.
~~~~~~~

Violet didn't knock, she just walked in and up to Julies room. She fell, face first, onto Julies bed with a depressed look. Julie sat at the edge of her bed, drawing. Suddenly, Violet grabs her songbook and curls her legs beneath it while writing.

"It's messed up

You know
So many highs and rollercoaster lows
Can't tell my left from right, emotional
But I hear it's just the way it goes
The way that it rolls"

"I got your text." a knock sounds and Flynn walks in. "Don't get too close. Anyone I seem to care about, disappears." Julie warns. Violet just continues staring at her book. "You can't get rid of me." Flynn looks at them, "You either V." Violet looks up with puffy eyes and a runny nose. "okay."

"I'm like the crazy glue of best friends."

"I just don't get it. Right when my life start to get good." Julie starts.

"Great friend, great band, great guy..." Violet trails.

"Then... BAM!" Julie pulls out her drawing of an explosion around the letters, 'JV.'

"I seriously don't know why all of this is happening to the two of you, but that's gonna be a great album cover one day. and that song." Flynn points to Violet. "You don't even what know what the title is..." Violet mutters. "But I know it's gonna be great and that's what matters."

Flynn starts to fold Julies sweater, "you don't have to do that." Julie tells her.

"I know, but I get to check out all your moms cool stuff." She says before gasping, "Did you know this was in here?" She pulls out a bedazzled Sunset Curve T-Shirt. "What the heck?" Julie says before Violet gets off the bed to walk over. "How do you think she got it?"

"I don't know, but the guys said they didn't know my mom." Julie states, "Why would they lie?"

"maybe they didn't" Violet looks at her, still having hope, "Maybe she knew them, she could be a fan."

"Sunset Curve was playing the Hollywood club scene around then." Julie explains.

"Oh my gosh, what if you were right? What if the guys are connected to your mom? Yours too V! The poster and shirt with her name." Flynn looks at them, "you know, through music or something."

"Because she bought their poster?"
"And a shirt?"

"Think about it! They were the ones who made you wanna play music again. And V, how many songs have you made since you've met them compared to before? Maybe your moms knew they could help you guys!" Flynn excites.

"So, you mean to tell me that my mom is somewhere out there planning all of this?"
"And with my mom somehow?"
"and if she wanted me to play music again, why wouldn't she just tell me herself?"

"maybe she can't, maybe she has to do it another way. You know, through signs." Flynn motions to the shirt, "You've been through these clothes how many times? And haven't found this shirt? Why now? This is another sign. I'm just saying, It's not over Julie! V, I'm sure 'signs' will come up for you too.!"

"Really?"
"signs?"

"Y'all are in a ghost band." Flynn points.

"it's a crazy world. Look, You're gonna lose them, no matter what and it sucks. But they helped bring Julie back to life and gave Violet more inspiration to become what she truly wants. Now, it's y'alls turn to help them. They have to cross over." Flynn then looks into Violets eyes. "Let them go."

Tears fill Violets eyes before she runs outside to her car. There was no way she could go back in there now and face the embarrassment of running out and letting her friends down. She turned the key and drove home.

~~~~~~~~~
Tears fall down as she slowly walks to her bedroom. She grabs a ripped picture of Sunset Curve before sighing. Violet looks all around the mess of her room. Grabbing a broom, she sweeps up all the paper balls on the floor and cleans the rest of the room.
All that's left is the ripped of picture.
Violet walks into her dads office, looking for tape. She scrimmages through all the drawers, finding nothing.
Violet walks up to the office closet. She reaches up, grabbing a box. She pulls the box down, not noticing a file on top of it. The file hits her in the head, "Shit." Violet rubs her head with a grumpy look on her face. Finally, she finds the tape.
Her eyes scan the room before grabbing the tape and walking out.
"Nope." Violet mutters, walking back in and grabbing the file.
~~~~~~~~~~

Violet tosses the file on to the bed before taping the few pictures of Sunset Curve together. She even added a few pictures of the boys as orbs.

10 minutes passed by as Violet stared the file down.

Why did it say important and do not open.?
