Wake Up

"Sometimes life is hard
but you gotta be strong
and keep moving on.
Don't let anything
hold you back
from what you want."

"What would you say if I told you there are three ghosts living in my mom's studio?" Julie said out loud as she was thinking of what to message Flynn, "You'd say I'm crazy." So, instead she deleted the message and threw her phone down. As she looked out towards the studio she couldn't help wonder what might happen next with the new supernatural teens living near her.

Her phone chimed from an incoming call making Julie escape her curious state, to see a photo of her sister and the bright word, calling.

"Hey, Sis what's up?"

"Oh, just wanting to make sure you were ok and all? Also quick question why did you say it was ok for the three idiots to stay in the garage?" Her sister yelled causing Julie to wince and slowly pull away from the device.

"Who told you?"

"Don't avoid the question Jules, why did you tell them it was ok?"

Julie let out a sigh, "I said it was ok because it didn't seem right that we were kicking them out of the place that they once called a home."

"Julie, it's not their home anymore it ours, we're not running a safe haven for homeless ghost."

"I know that Chris, but still they were gone for twenty-five years and come back only to have no where to go, it's just fair to have them stay, plus I did tell them to ask you before calling it their own."

She could tell that her sister was starting to calm down when she didn't respond immediately. "I'm still not happy with you, but it's getting late and momma needs her beauty sleep."

"Night Chris."

"Night Jules, and this conversation isn't over I hope you know that."

Julie hung up and acted like she didn't hear the last part, after a moment of silence a tiny giggle left her mouth as she got ready for bed, enjoying the little banter her and her sister just did.

The sign on the Orpheum glowed as people walked as Alex, Luke and Reggie sat on top of the marquee after appearing from Chris and Julies backyard. "Hey, I know being dead isn't our first choice, but I mean, it sure is easy getting around." Luke looked at the boys, trying to still help with the fact that they were dead now.

"Easy for you, maybe. I lost my shirt on that one." Reggie pointed out as he showed off his shirtless chest to his friends, only for it to appear a second later. "Ooh, never mind! There it is."

The two guys started laughing at their friends misfortune, as Alex looked up to see the sign for the place they never got to play at. "Ok, so why'd you bring us here? Just another painful reminder of where we never got to play." Sarcastically he patted Luke's chest as he thanked him.

"I mean, boys, the game isn't over yet." Luke pointed out as the moved from the roof to the ground, joining the people who were walking by without a care. "I'm telling you, we've been given a second chance. Let's find some music and let's see how many clubs we can hit before sunrise."

The boys walked casually not caring if they passed through the living, and as Alex was walking he accidentally bumped shoulders with someone. "Hey!" He said, making the man turn around and seeing the young man he did a curt nod while grabbing his top hat. Before Alex could question the man, he walked away like nothing happened.

"Hey, Alex! You coming?" Luke asked as he noticed his friend not following them anymore. He nodded briefly forgetting the man in the cape as the three friend made their way down the sidewalk to find something fun to enjoy that night.

It was early in the morning, barely anyone was up except the two Molina sisters. Julie was making her way towards the garage carrying her school bag, while Chris was just strumming her guitar mindlessly. Julie opened the garage door that Chris unlocked last night, after remembering that the boys could just walk through the doors.

Hearing the door slide open Chris stopped playing, as she turned to see her sister entering the building. "Guys?" Julie questioned after seeing that no one was around, not even looking up to see if her sister was up in her little room. "Guys?"

Julie stopped asking when her eyes caught the darken shine from the piano, remembering what the boys told her last night she made her way to the lyrics that still sat on top of the piano. An unknown force started to take over Julie as she separated the sheet music and took a seat behind the keys.

Chris continued to watch as he sister lifted the cover and gracefully placed her fingers on the keys that were needed for the song. She could at first see the hesitation and was scared her sister would run again, but the fear slowly turned to happiness as her sister started playing the piano as if she never stopped.

(Julie)
🎵Here's one thing
I want you to know
You got someplace to go
Life's a test, yes
But you go toe-to-toe
You don't give up, no
You grow

Chris watched as she saw her little sister slowly gain back the confidence that she once lost, smiling at the beautiful voice that she thought was never going to be used again.

And you use your pain
'Cause it makes you you
Though I wish I could hold you through it
I know it's not the same
You got living to do
And I just want you to do it

Julie couldn't help but look at the wooden ceiling and think that her mom was watching her, a smile on her face as she watched her daughter play the song she created. Though Julie enjoyed the thought she couldn't help and wonder if her mother had known what was going to happen in the future when writing the song.

So get up, get out
Relight that spark
You know the rest by heart
Wake up, wake up
If it's all you do~
Look out, look inside of you~
It's not what you lost
It's what you'll gain
Raising you voice to the rain~

Chris quietly made her way down the steps, seeing the sun slowly rise and shine through the window creating a heavenly glow on her sister like her mother was trying to show her that she was there listening to her sister singing.

Wake up your dream and make it true~
Look out, look inside of you~

What both girls didn't realize is that outside of the garage their father and brother we're listening to Julie sing as well, enjoying the new development that was occurring.

It's not what you lost
Relight that spark
Time to come out of the dark
Wake up

Julie started to play a little melody getting ready to start singing again, but what shocked her was the addition to the song.

(Chris)
Wake up
Better wake those demons
Just look them in the eye
No reason not to try
Life can be a mess
I won't let it cloud my mind
I'll let my fingers fly~

Almost like she was trying to fly Chris spread her arms out embracing the sunlight for a second before going her sister on the piano bench.

And I use the pain
'Cause it's part of me~
And I'm ready to power through it~
Gonna find the strength
Find the melody
'Cause you showed me how to do it~

Looking at her sister they both smiled seeing the other finally start becoming the old person they once were.

Get up, get out
Relight that spark
You know the rest by heart
Wake up, wake up
If it's all you do~
Look out, look inside of you~
It's not what you lost
It's what you'll gain
Raising your voice to the rain~

Julie continued to play the piano as she occasionally looked at her sister who was singing beautifully, but also noticing the little hint of pain that was showing a little through her facial features.

Wake up your dream and make it true~
Look out, look inside of you~
It's now what you lost
Relight that spark
Time to come out of the dark
Wake up~

(Both)
Wake up~
So, wake that spirit, spirit
I wanna hear it, hear it
No need to fear it
You're not alone
You're gonna find you way
OH~

Julie copied the movement her sister did earlier while Chris took over the piano playing, enjoying how her sister was singing the song that she and her mom made for Julie for her birthday, but was forgotten for so long.

Wake up, wake up
If it's all you do~
Look out, look inside of you~
It's not what you lost
It's what you'll gain
Raising your voice to the rain
Wake up your dream
and make it true~
Look out, look inside of you~
When you feel lost
Relight that spark
Time to come out of the dark
Wake up
Mm-mm, wake up

The sisters finished as Julie hit the last note to the song, what they didn't know was as they finished the song the boys were standing behind them basking in the hidden talent that Julie had lied about and the old voice that was Chris'.

Julie wiped her cheeks before picking up the music sheets to put away, yet she stopped on the last page seeing a familiar handwriting. On the bottom of the last sheet, two little scribbles of a note were written, 'Julie, you can do it ♡ Love mom' the other clearly her sisters, saying, 'Jules no matter what other say you will always be a gem, don't let the monsters in, instead wake up and find that spark. ♡ Ris'

Chris had forgotten the little note she had left on the sheet, but what made it worth it was when her sister pulled her into a warm embrace.

The two of them enjoying each others company as Chris turned to kiss her sister forehead, while the boys looked on, still in shock of what had just occurred.

So, I really have no clue when I can and can't update this book to be honest and I don't enjoy saying a date and not fulfilling that promise. I also am having issues right now with my Netflix account and school work is being loaded on top of that. I'll try and update this week though, but hey we finished the first episode finally.
YAY!
Questions

If Chris wasn't being shipped with Luke who would you say she would be better off with?
