The Other Side of Hollywood
"How does 'falling into' differ from 'falling for'?
You fall into a trap accidentally.
You fall for its mystery intentionally."

The dance was in full swing, as music blasted throughout the gym, everyone was dancing, laughing and having fun as Levi and Chris walked in finally joining the fun. "Do we have any Bobcats in the house? Everybody make some noise!" Flynn said in the microphone, gaining a lot of cheers from the teenagers. "Ok, ok, ok. Not too much noise, there's an anger management meeting down the hall." With that being said, the students started to laugh before continuing what they were doing.
"I'm going to help Julie set up the hologram machine real quick." Chris shouted at Levi, who only nodded continuing to dance to the music as her and Julie walked over towards their friend. When they got closer to the stage, Flynn instantly spotting them signaled towards the side of the stage before joining the duo. "How you feeling?" She asked, staring at the Molina sisters.
"I'm a little nervous." Julie shrugged with a nervous smile, making Chris shakes her head. "You'll be fine, Jules." She said, as she swung her arm over her sisters shoulder.
"Ris, is right. All your gear's backstage, come on." Flynn screamed, before the three of them made their way over to the side of the stage to at least have some sort of privacy. Flynn finally getting a better look at the girls couldn't help but fangirl a little. "Oh my gosh! You both look amazing!"
"Thanks." Julie and Chris said before pulling their friend into a group hug. "It's my mom's. I finally went through her stuff." Julie said as she did a little spin to show Flynn the full attire. "Luke helped me with my outfit, since I was cutting it to close with meeting Levi, who I should be getting back to in a few anyway." Chris rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment, not knowing if it was because she left her date a lone or because she brought up the ghost that she cared about in some way.
Flynn smiled at the two, "First of all, she would've loved that you wore that, Julie. Second of all, Luke helped you chose that? Dang, I'm going to have to hire him to help me at one point." The girls laughed at their fiends antics, before Flynn started to calm down and look around the girls. "Are the guys here?"
Julie rolled her eyes at Flynn, as she nervously laughed trying to fix herself a little. "No, but they will be. They know important this is to the both of us. Plus I think Luke would make sure to especially be here since Chris is performing with him."
"What's that suppose too mean?" Chris aggressively asked.
"Nothing!" Both Flynn and Julie shouted holding their hands in surrender as their faces held nervous smiles. The girls continued to talk, not realizing the danger that was soon to come.

Meanwhile, the guys followed Willie into an area that was supposedly designated for members only. "Right this way." Willie said as he allowed the boys to get a good look of the place for the first time. "Woah! So this is where your hotshot ghost lives, huh?" Luke asked jokingly, not understanding why he was so nervous, thinking it was either because they were in a new place or because he wanted to make sure to get back and perform with Chris.
"Yeah, we've walked past this hotel, like, a million times. How come we've never heard of it?" Alex questioned looking towards his crush, who happily smiled at the boy. "That's because this area has been sealed off for decades. I mean, you wouldn't even know this place exists unless you're invited." Turning back to towards the entrance, Willie spoke to the boy group. "All right. I gotta go make sure everything's cool, but I'll be right back."
Once the boy was gone, the three ghost walked over to the railing to get a better look of place, Reggie was the only one who noticed the sign. "Hollywood Ghost Club? This place is creepy."
"Yeah, well, so are we." Alex responded sarcastically, looking at his band mate briefly before looking back at the view.
"I don't know about this." Reggie stated after a few minutes.
"Well, if you get scared, you...you can always hide behind me. I'll be hiding behind Luke." Alex suggested, before moving behind the said boy, making him roll his eyes at his friends. "You guys need to grow up, ok? We're gonna get back at Bobby, he needs to pay for what he did to us." Luke reminded the guys as they agreed with his statement.
Alex leaned his head over towards Reggie, and horribly whispered in his ear. "I'm still gonna hide behind him." Luke just shook his head at the boy, before turning his head to the side when Willie appeared next to him. "We're all good."
"Oh, uh, cool. Hey, just so you know, we have, like, an hour because we got a gig with Chris and Julie." Alex said.
"Oh yeah. No worries." Wille said looking at the group. "Let's go." As the boys made their way down the stairs, "Normally, I'd have my deck, and I'd backboard this heavy 20 set, but tonight... we have company. Hope you guys are ready for this." Jumping onto the railing, he slid down the rest of the way laughing as he dismounted.
Alex looked at the crowd, getting a better look of the stage. "Wow! Are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?" Not wanting to show he was a little intimidated, Luke pulled his blue jacket out. "I think we're a little overdressed." Reggie and Alex also tried to show the same feeling Luke was giving, but were still nervous every step they took.
When the three finally joined Willie, they had no idea a couple was walking towards them causally passing through laughing like nothing happened. "Whoa! I thought these people were all going to be ghosts." Reggie said as he pointed at the couple.
"These are all lifers." Willie said, before Alex interrupted. "Oh, uh, lifers are actually..."
"Alive people. I was listening." Reggie stated happily.
"But this is a very exclusive crowd, everybody here has, uh, paid a lot to get a sneak peek at the afterlife."
"I always knew rich people did weird stuff like this."
"Gentlemen, I have a table for you." A man with a heavy accent, in all white said standing in the middle of the group. "Right this way." Not hesitating a single bit they followed him over towards a table in the very front row. Taking their seats, the man walked to grab the sign. "William."
"Oh yeah. Thanks, man." He said back to the guy, as he made his way through the crowd leaving the boys once again alone.
Luke, getting a little annoyed with waiting for this person, looked at the skater boy. "Ok, so who's gonna make us visible so we can confront out old bandmate?"
"Oh no, no. None of these lifers have the power to do that." Just after saying that, the lights began too dim. "Oh, but here comes the ghost who does." Willie said happily before drum rolling on the table and looking towards the stage.
A males voice surrounded the crowd, as everyone quickly took their seats. "Ladies and gentlemen, back from the dead by popular demand, please welcome Caleb Covington!" Everyone began to cheer and clap, the boys joining in still not knowing what was going on at the moment, before they watched a man appear floating.
"Did you miss me?" He asked happily, gaining an oh yeah from the crowd. "I did too! Welcome... to the party of your dreams! From the Egyptians to the Druids, to the person sitting next to you, we've all wondered, 'where do we go when that final light is snuffed out?' Allow me to show you."
(Caleb)
Let me introduce myself
We got some time to kill
Consider me the pearly gates
To your new favorite thrills
Caleb slowly floated closer to the crowd, mainly the boys who were in the very front row specifically.
We could go make history
Or you could rest in peace
But here there ain't no misery
'Cause on the other side
We live like kings
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
Let your body loose
Let your body loose
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
Show you a thing or two
'Cause you ain't seen nothing
As he sang the last note a whole band appeared out of no where, doing Caleb in the song, the man from earlier coming up from behind and quickly taking the cape the he had on at the beginning.
(Caleb and band/dancers)
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
So welcome to the brotherhood
Where you won't be misunderstood
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
Straightening his jacket before, Caleb made his way down the steps before walking towards the boys once again, avoiding the dancer/servers who were around him on the dance floor.
Everything has got a price
But happiness is free
Just so happens you're in luck
We got a vacancy
We can set the night on fire
And break out of the scene
Your should print on the walk of fame
On the boulevard
Of your wildest dreams
Caleb grabbed the boys table cloth and with a quick swirl and pull a dance in a pink flapper like costume no stood on the table dancing happily, leaving the boys intrigued, more Reggie and Luke than the other two guys.
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do, boys?
Let your body loose
Let your body loose
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do, boys?
The dance twirled on the top and as she had her foot out straight she came to close to hitting Reggie in the face, but was instead created with a ringed hand, who caught the foot before anything could happen.
If ain't bragging if it's true
Now, you ain't seen nothing
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
The man did a quick twirl behind the boys before reappearing back on stage, still singing in front of the crowd who was overly thrilled with the performance.
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
So welcome to the brotherhood
Where you won't be misunderstood
Life is good
On the other side of Hollywood
As he turned, he threw his cane back towards the stage, only too reappear in time to grab it, as the music cut down allowing his dancers to start clapping to the beat.
The rain don't blind the rising souls
They got too much to see
I got your glamour, got your gold
Got all you'll ever need
Let me hear you now
(Dancers/Crowd)
The rain don't blind the rising soul
They got too much to see (Yeah~)
I got your glamour, got your gold
Got all you'll ever need (Ohh~)
Yeah~, I said, watch me make a move
Watch me make a move, boys
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
I said, watch me make a move
No, I don't disappoint
What you gonna do? What you gonna do?
Amen!
Watch me make a move
I'm your number one choice~
What you gonna do?
What you gonna do?
Watch me make a move
Come on, now give me that noise
A tomb with a view
Ain't it something?
As he said that, he pointed towards the rings that were hanging from the ceiling before a few dancer appeared on the rings, doing acrobatic tricks, gaining so may peoples attention, especially Reggie. The bass player quickly stood up only to be pushed back down by Luke who put his arm around the boy to make sure he didn't do it again.

The drummers were hitting their last notes, while the two dancers to the side of Caleb shook the curtain in front of him stopping at his neck.
Ain't it the best?
Long live the dead!
With that the instrument players hit their last note, while the dancers at the same time said bye-bye to the crowd, before fully pulling the curtain up and down, showing the audience the man was gone.
The crowd went wild after that amazing performance, people were clapping and cheering as the band continued on with the beat. Dancers and servers made their way back over to the crowd to continue with their work, while the boys were still in awestruck from the performance.
"This is so cool." Reggie said, just after waving at people who were smiling and waving back at him. "Man, dude, I knew I recognized him. He's the guy that bumped into me outside the Orpheum." Alex recalled gaining the guys attention.
"Wait." Reggie questioned, "Isn't he that magician dude that died a horrible death doing a trick?"
"Yeah, wouldn't really bring that up when we meet him." Alex suggested towards his band mate.
Willie seeing the boys still not understanding how the magician worked, spoke up. "Yeah, but you should come back when he shows one of his movies. I mean, for Titanic, he literally floods the entire place. I mean, the guy has got skills."
"All right, but he can wave his arms and make ghosts visible to lifers?" Luke questioned wanting to get back on topic, seeing as time was slowly ticking down.
"Told you, the guy's got skills."
"So where'd he go?" Reggie questioned, looking around to hopefully find the guy, only to let out a shout. "Oh wow! Found him!"
Caleb smiled at the boy, before fully announcing his presence to the group. "Hello, boys. Caleb Covington, welcome to the Hollywood Ghost Club. Enjoying the show?"
"Yo, that was... I mean... Did you... Like..." Luke could not think of anything to say, making Caleb laugh.
"I know."
"Right!"
Willie, wanting to help the guys out, seeing as they were still not mentally prepared to talk just yet, introduced them to Caleb. "This is Alex, Luke, and Reggie."
"Yeah, It's really nice to meet you." Alex said shyly, Reggie joining in with a peace sign and sup.
"The pleasure is mine, nothing warms my heart more than sharing this magic with new friends. Please, sit." Caleb suggested as the same server once again helped him, this time providing him with a chair, as the group continued to discuss.
"Uh, thank you for the invite." Alex stated looking at the older gentleman, who just smiled at him.
"Of course, of course! Now my friend Willie tells me that you boys have some magic of your own."
Alex was shocked when hearing that, not really understanding the assumption, as he cleared his throat. "Well... Willie and I? He asked pointing at the boy, who just continued to smile. "I mean, I wouldn't really call It magic, but, I mean..." Willie finally understanding what Alex was saying, quick interrupted the blonde boy before he could continue talking. "Oh no, he means your ghost abilities. You know, like, to be seen by everybody when you play with Julie and Christine."
While the two looked at each other, Luke and Reggie couldn't help but watch the little moment between the two. Reggie was a little confused not understanding what was going on, while Luke couldn't help but feel a little jealous, at the same time feel a little shocked that his friend was moving on.
Finally understanding the question, turned back towards the magician. "No, totally. Right, no. 'Cause when you said it, I was like, 'Is that what he said?' 'Cause..." Only to receive a wave of Calebs hand signaling he was alright.
"Yeah, but we can't really, uh, wave our arms and do all the magic stuff. " Luke said gaining some of the attention off of his friend who gave him a look of relief.
"Well, I've had some practice, our gifts are so rare, so special. It's not often I come across other spirits who possess similar talents. It's no surprise we found each other." Caleb said as he looked at the boy with a smile.
Reggie looked at the man after he said that. "Wait, gifts? So does that mean a human, I mean a lifer have some ghost talents in a sense? Like one of our old band mates, Reese, is back as a human with no memory, but just like her sister when she sings we appear. Yet, at the same time we can also touch her like other ghost, is that possible?" Reggie questioned, gaining looks from the four ghost, especially Caleb.
"I don't think I have ever encountered something like this before, you said that she looked like one of you old band mates, correct?"
"Yeah, Reese was one a singer in the band, she died with us, but instead of appearing in the dark room she vanished." Luke stated, trying to not give away the anger he felt for Reggie as he talked about Chris in front of this guy for some reason.
Caleb put a finger to his lip, thinking. "Only to be human, and no recollection of ever being with you guys?" Earning nods from the three in return. "In yet, unlike other humans she can touch you guys?"
Luke just rolled his eyes at all the questions that were based off of the girl, Alex slowly feeling the same way about his best friend.
"Well, that is very unique. I don't think I have ever seen a case like this ever in my lifetime as a ghost. Next time you guys come here, you just have to bring this Reese person with you, that way I can meet them."
"Her name is Christine and I don't think this is really her place to be honest." Alex said crossing his arms protectively.
"Ahh, I see... Well if you'll forgive me, fellas, I gotta go pay the bills, if you know what I'm saying. I'll be back later to chat." Gently slapping Alex and Lukes shoulder, the older ghost left towards the rights, leaving the boys once again alone.
"I love that dude. Please tell me this party's never gonna end." Reggie asked, just before letting out an ow. "What was that for?" He asked, rubbing his head after Luke just slapped him.
"Why did you bring up Chris?" Luke asked angrily, glaring at the boy who was shrinking away from him
Reggie had no idea what to say towards his friend, as he originally thought he was helping the group. "I thought it was relevant at the time."
Luke just looked at the boy. "Next time don't be so stupid."
"Ok."
So, I set myself a goal to hopefully finish this book before or the day of Christmas as I want to hopefully start me other JATP book soon before 2021. If you haven't seen the cast and prologue go check it out. Finally finished/started episode 4 and five, it's weird to think I've barely got into the show and so many amazing people actually enjoy this book.
~Question time~
Caleb, now has heard about Chris, what do you think is about to happen?
Hope y'all have a good night and good day and look forward to another update sometime today.
