Julie was at home trying to avoid her phone, that was still chiming from her sister and friend's missed calls and messages. Instead focusing on her homework at the dinning room table.

"Oh good, you're home." Ray Molina said, scaring Julie a little bit, "I was about to go watch your brother's game. Chris said she was going to stop by when dance practice was over. She wanted to know if you wanted a ride there, said you guys need to talk?" Her father said questioning why his eldest daughter had to ask him about Julie.

"Oh, just tell her sorry my phone died and that I'm good, just going to chill at the house. Doing some homework." Julie respond nervously, wringing out her fingers in the process. He continued, not wanting to bother her more. "I've had photo shoots all day, didn't even get a chance to eat." Julie was only allowed to give her father a displeased look, before he started talking again.

"But... I got a phone call today." Taking her glasses off, Julie looked away from her father, "Yeah, I figured as much."

"Yeah. Well, it was my Realtor friend." Relieved, Julie let out a sigh. "Oh, that." Ray nodded, "Yeah, and she says if we are serious about selling the house, then she wants me to take some pictures for the website. Which means we have to do a lot of cleaning and get rid of some stuff. And maybe you and your sister can... tackle mom's studio?"

Julie looked away trying to focus on her books rather than her father who was already regretting bringing the topic up in the first place. "You and your sister are the experts, especially since Chris lives on the top floor. You know, your brother and I wouldn't even know where to begin."

Seeing the look on her face, he started to back off. "It's ok, honey. If you're not ready, I can have Chris do it, or I--" Shaking her head, Julie turned to her father, "No. It's alright, maybe I'll try tonight. Get a head start before Chris gets home."

"Yeah? Awesome, mija. Thank you. Oh, and don't forget the little part on the loft. You know, those old instruments that were there when we moved in? They need a new home, but don't move the blue guitar, you know thats Chris' favorite." Nodding her head Julie lets out a breathy laugh. "Mom would like that."

Looking at his daughter with admiration for how strong she was being, he nodded. "Yeah, she would." Seeing the time, Ray starts looking around, "Oh, God. I'm gonna be late."

"Under the mail." Julie responded knowing what her father was looking for. "You're a lifesaver" He said before giving her a quick kiss on the forehead and leaving through the front door, allowing Julie to take in the silence of the house.

Meanwhile, Chris was stretching while constantly looking at her watch, hoping that Julie would just respond to one of her messages. Yet, the only sign that her sister was somewhere at least safe was when her dad told her that Julie wasn't going to be attending her younger brothers baseball game.

"Chris! You ready to practice or are you just going to keep staring at your watch?" Yelled Stella, one of her team mates. "Yeah, sorry." Getting off of the ground she rushes over to her group getting into her spot to work on their dance routine that they were going to perform at the pep rally this Friday.

Before the song finished, the music was cut off, making the room fill with heavy breathing as the girls were lost on why the music stopped. Turning around, they saw colorful wannabe barbie dolls looking at them with anger.

"What do you think you're doing? Who gave you the right to stop us in mid-practice Carrie?" Olivia said, giving her a death glare in the process. "What gave me the right was when you fools decided to practice in the gym, when it was reserved for Dirty Candy."

"Carrie, it's the gym no one has to reserve anything, we were here first, so get your cotton candy butts out of here, before I throw them out." Chris said as she walked towards her, only to be held back by two of her teammates. "Aww, Chris it's cute when you think you can win a fight against me." She responded back faking affection as she touched her chest.

"Girls, let's not fight, if both groups wants the gym then how about we settle it correctly, a dance off, whoever wins gets the gym, alright?" Stella said as she stepped in the middle of her teammate and rival. "Fine, just make sure to keep your attack dog in check." Carrie responded flipping her hot pink wig over her shoulder. Chris shrugged off the two girls hands as she headed the opposite way.

The music began to play, showing that the battle had started.

Before the music cut off, Carrie did something that made Chris' blood boil,

The room was dead quiet as Carrie got off the ground looking smugly. "Guess that means Dirty Candy gets the gym. Ta-ta Light Freaks." Her group laughed as they went over to the mirrors, getting ready to practice, ignoring the anger that was radiating from the other group. Not taking it anymore Chris quickly grabbed her bag and left the room, her dance group right behind her. "I can't believe that girl has the audacity to steal your move Chris. It's one thing to beat someone in a dance battle, but it's cruel to steal a dancer style." Angel said looking at her friend, "I know right! You know it still surprises me that you and Carrie use to..." Before Olivia could continue her statement, Chris turned to her friends.

"I got to go guys, I'll talk to you later." Chris stated before doing the one thing she always hated doing. She ran from her problems.

It was dark outside when Julie finally went out to the garage. When opening the doors, Julie looked around the place she's been avoiding for so long. Heading towards the light switch, she turned on the lights that seemed to put a heavenly glow on the piano.

As she laid her hands on top of the piano, she started remembering all the amazing times she and her sister had. The endless playing, even if they were tone deaf to the ridiculous sounds they were making. Walking towards the stool she noticed a music sheet that seemed to be left untouched, grabbing it she put it on top of the piano.

"I'm so sorry, mom. That I haven't been in here. We all miss you. Dad barely eats, Carlos tries to be there for all of us, and Chris..." Julie hesitates for a second, "Chris acts like everything is ok, but she's hurting. She really regrets what her last words were to you, I hope you know that she didn't mean it mom." Julie couldn't help but just sit there, and wish her mother would just say something even though she knew the truth.

Looking up at the loft, she made her way over before ascending the stairwell. It was a little more accessible since Chris moved out here a few days after mom passed, hoping to be more closer to her she said.

Julie looked at all the instruments that were scattered in a corner, covered in dust. All except a blue electric guitar and a cd case that seemed to be slightly open. Curiosity getting the best of her, Julie picked up the CD reading the title, 'Sunset Curve.'

After descending the staircase she moved over to the CD player and popped the disc in. Making her way to the couch a guitar riff started to play from the speakers.

Screaming started to fill the room, making her cover her ears from the noise. Three boys appeared in the room, landing on their backs harshly. The guys groaned from pain, while Julie stood up shocked from the sudden intrusion. "Whoa!" Luke said as he stood up from the ground, "How did we get back here?"

Julie began to scream, frightening the boys who didn't recall meeting the scared girl before. Terrified, the boy group started screaming as well huddling together. Finally coming to her senses, Julie ran out of the room screaming, leaving the strangers in her garage. Running up the walkway towards the front of her house, Julie saw he family as they arrived home.

"Dad!" Julie yelled running into his arms. "Whoa! Slow down. You look like you've seen a ghost." Ray said jokingly. "I have." She responded, making her sister and father look at her concern while Carlos was fast to say cool. Julie turned to him quickly responding with, "Not cool!," before running into the house.

"What just happened?" Chris asked looking at the two men, who just simply shrugged their shoulders. "Ghost?" Carlos responded, before heading into the house with Ray following behind.

'Why did my sister have to be weird?' Chris thought before heading towards the garage herself.

Sorry for the long wait, but for the next few days I have a lot more free time, so be prepared for more chapters. Next chapter Chris and the boys might see each other, maybe not, who knows. Also there were a lot of youtube videos, sorry about that but I do promise there won't be as many in the other chapters, maybe a few but not this many. Hope you all have a good day and keep your eyes open for another chapter maybe tonight.
