Flying Solo
"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on."

Both Chris and Alex don't know how long they just sat on the road in each others embrace neither one of them caring at the moment, just wanting to be there for the other. "We should probably head back to the garage before they send a search party looking for us." Alex slowly let girl go as he wiped her face free from any left over tears. "Yeah, you're right. Plus we need to give Julie a break before she finds a way to kill Luke and Reggie. More so Luke then Reggie if I'm going to be honest."
Alex and her made their way over to her truck, even though Alex could just poof back to the garage ahead of her, he just wanted to make sure she left safely. "You notice that too?"
"Are you kidding me, everyone can see the chemistry the two of them have I bet Flynn is already creating a ship name for the two of them. Well that's if she wasn't mad at us right now, that is." She stated sadly remembering her sister briefly explaining to her what was said between the two of them. "Why would she make a ship for Julie and Reggie?" Letting out a laugh Chris turned her head towards the blonde who was sitting in the passenger seat. "Oh honey, you got a lot to still learn."

In the garage, Reggie and Luke were trying to occupy themselves with working on Julie's song, though Luke was secretly still worried about his crush/best friend.
(Luke)
Guess that means I'm buying lunch that day
I know all your secrets
You know all my deep dish
Guess that means that some things...
"Wait, so... When she says, deep dish, is she talking about, like pizza, or..." Reggie interrupted, curious about what the girl might have meant when writing this song. Before Luke could respond their absent friend finally decide to join the two in the garage, with a happy smile on his face. "Oh! Oh, hey, man. Where have you been?"
"Um, kind of everywhere, yeah. No, I met a new ghost friend." Reggie looking at his friend in shock. "For real?" Alex nodded happily with the question, remembering Chris looking at him in almost the exact same way. "Yeah, he answered a ton of questions."
Luke looked at his band mates with an unenthusiastic look, still mad about what happened between him and Chris. "Yeah? Like whether Julie and Ris are gonna join the band or not?" Alex was in shock when seeing his ex being hostile towards him. "Um... Well, we didn't... We didn't really get to that, but I think I know why we're here. Ok? All ghost have, like, unfinished business; so, we need to do our unfinished business so that we can cross over."
"Why would we do that?" Reggie hated to admit, but he was with Luke on that one, even if he was still confused about why still. "I'm just saying, this is like our second chance, all we need to do is get Julie to play with us and have Reese come back. Plus if we did have unfinished business, wouldn't that mean we lose Reese again?" All the boys knew that what Luke had just said was true, they just got their best friend back even if she didn't remember them it was better than nothing.
Reggie placed his hand on top of Alex's shoulder, gaining said boys attention. "Yeah. Not only can that girl sing, she can write too. Luke and I made a killer melody to one of her lyrics." As Luke handed the notebook with his messy handwriting, Alex looked between the two with a hurt expression. "Oh... without your drummer. Cool."
"Drumming is so '90's. Ok? We're just gonna... stomp our feet now." Luke said sarcastically, even stomping his feet to show he was playing, but Alex was still highly offended. "Ok, well you know what else is so '90's? Being rude, all right? Get woke. These are sensitive times." Instead of handing his notebook, Alex slapped it on the boys chest harshly. "Ah! Alex... Ow."
"Learned that from my ghost friend." He whispered towards Reggie, again with his dorky smile on his face. "Woke. That's... That's a cool word. What does it mean?" Reggie questioned. "No clue, I'll have to ask Ri later tonight." When hearing about the oldest Molina, Luke drew his attention away from his notebook. "Wait Ree- I mean Chris? Christine, Chris?"
Alex turned towards his friend with his eyebrow raised. "Yeah.... Christine? Why?" Luke looked back down towards the notebook, not bothering to show the two his pain. "It's nothing." Rolling his eyes, Reggie turned to the blonde. "He's angry at himself because we took a poem from Chris's dream box and turned it into a song. When he was showing it off to her, she got mad and left without explaining. Julie ended up telling us it was about her mother and now Luke hates himself because he hurt Chris without meaning too." Once hearing this, Alex recalled about why Chris was so hurt about that song.
"Oh, yeah... I remember her telling me about your guys shenanigans." He sighed, before looking between the two boys. "You guys just need to understand that Chris has had some serious problems in her life. Until she explains on why that song is so serious to her I would just give the girl some space." All the two ghost could do was nod their heads at the advice their friend gave them, before going over the song, hopefully distracting them once again.

Meanwhile, on the front porch of the Molina residence, Flynn was trying not to be suspicious looking in the front windows to see if anyone was currently home. What the girl didn't realize is Julie was actually walking out of the front door to see if her sister was home. "Flynn!?" Julie questioned seeing the absent friend. "What are you doing here? I've been looking all over for you."
Being her usual sarcastic self, Flynn through her arms out. "Not everywhere, 'cause here I am."
"I've been texting you all day, the least you could have done is text either me or Chris back." Julie said walking closer to her friend who was starting to walk away. "I sent a poop emoji, I think it said everything. I was just leaving this." Flynn pulled out a white T-shirt with the writing 'Triple Threat.' Julie pushed the shirt back towards her dramatic friend, while rolling her eyes. "I'm not taking it."
"Fine, then my dad can wash his car with it, though all this betrayal on it might scratch his paint."
"Look, I'm very sorry for not telling you, but I-I need you to know how important you are to me and Chris. There's no way I would've made it through this year if it wasn't for you."
Flynn looked at her friend angrily. "Yet it was three strangers who got you both back into music. I don't need someone in my life who lies and keeps things from me. Goodbye Julie and tell you sister the same thing." Before Flynn could leave though, Chris's voice rang through the yard. "They're ghosts, Flynn."
"What?" She asked confused.
"The boys in Julie and I's band aren't holograms their ghosts. And when we play together, people can see them." Chris stated as she walked over to the two girls, letting out a sigh. "What do you mean "ghosts"?" Flynn asked still confused on what the two sisters were talking about at the moment. "Like the kind that rattle chains and go "boo"?"
"No." Julie said, "And we're pretty sure that's a hurtful ghost stereotype." The two sisters added on together. "These guys are just normal dead dudes." Julie said hoping that their friend might believe them now that they came out with the truth. "Well... Reggie's a little questionable." Chris added, gaining a slap from her sister making the eldest smirk a little, but the moment was ruined when they notice their friend pulling out her phone and typing.
The two looked at each other, before turning back to their friend. "Who are you texting?"
Flynn looked at the two of them. "Ok first of all, stop with the talking at the same time, it's creepy. Sometimes I wonder if you guys are twins. Secondly, your dad. He told me to text him if I worried about you two. And, um... I'm worried. You're seeing things, guys." Rolling her eyes, Chris grabbed the girls phone and held it away from her. "All right, so you wanna be difficult? Meet the two of us in our mom's studio in 30 minutes, and will prove to you that we're not crazy."
Julie grabbing the phone out of her sisters hand, slowly gave it back to Flynn. "And please don't text our dad."
"You have 30 minutes." Flynn sighed out, both Molina sisters smiled before happening to glance down and seeing the contents in their friends bag. "Eggs? Why did you bring eggs?"
Quickly grabbing her bag, Flynn stuttered. "Oh! Um...No. No." She started to chuckle nervously, "See, I grabbed those by mistake. It's not like I was gonna throw them at your bedroom window or anything." All the two girls could do was sigh and head towards Chris' bedroom/studio, leaving their friend to herself. "30 minutes! Go."
When they finally reached the studio they slammed the door open, startling the guys who were in their own world. "We need your guys help." Chris stated before she grabbed the doors once again and slammed them close, giving them privacy to practice.
~🎤~🦋~🎤~
Thirty minutes had passed a lot sooner than they had hoped, as they heard a knock at the studio doors. Julie being the closets walked over to the doors, letting out a laugh. "Thanks for coming. We just wanted to rehearse the song so it was perfect, which it's not, but whatever."
"No, if I'm gonna hear a song from your guys imaginary ghost band, I want it to be perfect. So, get back in there." Not knowing if any of the ghost were near by Flynn started pointing in random spots. "All of you, you too." Chris let out a laugh, making Luke smile as he stood near the girl as she was still chilling on the stool off to the side. "They're not out there."
"Oh, I know." Flynn pated Julies shoulder before walking in to the studio. "Is she always like this?" Luke questioned pointing to their friend who was standing in the middle of the room. "Yeah, but you get use to it." Chris said back looking the boy in the eyes, both of them staring at each other a lot longer than they should.
"Is your sister ok?" Flynn pointed towards her friend who to her looked to be staring at nothing. Hearing the question Chris looked away fast, making the boy turn away in sad that their little moment was ruined. "Hey Julie can you tell your friend to move somewhere else, I still don't feel comfortable with walking through people just yet." Nodding her head, she received a wink and a smile from Reggie, causing the girl to blush and look away. "Uh, can you go over there? Reggie needs some space to rock out, and he feels kinda weird walking through you."
"Boy, when you two create a world, you really live in it." Flynn laughed, before m=being pushed down into a seat by Julie. "Just sit. If you'll notice, there's no equipment that will produce a hologram. Feel free to look around." Julie walked over the electric piano they had in the studio, while Chris got a better position on the mic that was in front of her, since Luke was adamant to have 'his' guitar.
"The guys took a poem that I wrote about you and put it to music."
"Aww! I wish I didn't have to talk to your guys dad after this."
Chris rolled her eyes before smiling. "The piece is called, Flying Solo. We hope you like it."
With that being said Julie sat down and started playing a melody on the synthesizer.
(Chris, Julie, Both)
If I leave you on a bad not
Leave you on a sad note

You know all my deep dish
Guess that means
Some things they never
They never change~
We both know what I, What I
What I mean~
When I look at you
It's like I'm looking at me
After that one word, the band poofed in on their instruments, joining into the melody, scaring the girl who was new to the whole thing.

Julie Kneeled down next to Flynn, while Chris finally got off the stool joining the two as they chuckled at their friends shocked face before continuing to sing.
Yeah, you know who I'm liking
Way before I like them
Duh, 'cause you like them first
And if somebody hurts you
I'm gonna get hurt too
That's just how we work
Yeah, that's just how we work
It will never~ (Guys: Change)
We both know what I, what I
What I mean~ (Guys: Mean)
When I look at you

Chris stated in front of her sister and friend as they smiled at each other happy that their friendship is fixed.

This time Julie dragged Flynn over to each one of the guys, that way she could see them closely, Chris heading over to her new bestie Alex first while Julie and Flynn went over to Luke who happily scared the girl on the Oh part of the song.

Hey! Yeah, yeah
Hey! Yeah, yeah
When Julie saw the horrified look on Flynn's face she quickly dragged her over to Alex, while Chris made her way over to Reggie, who was happy to share the mic with his old/new friend once again.

Finally Julie and Flynn walked over to the Bass guitarist, who couldn't help but smile at Julie, before turning to look at Flynn. Chris walked over to Luke who was still playing, it wasn't until he noticed her walking over to him that he had a moment of hesitation seeing his crush smiling at him. Once she sat next to him did he stop playing relying on Alex and the weird pad thing to keep the beat flowing as he looked at the girl next to him. When Chris looked at him all she could do was smile as she enjoyed the guitarist company at the moment, what she wasn't prepared for was something orange to all of a sudden cover her eyes. Quickly moving it away did she realize two things, one the guitarist started playing again and two that she now supported an orange beanie, that she actually didn't quiet mind.
"They're ghost!" Flynn stated, breaking Chris away from her stare down, who now supported a blush on her face something Alex had noticed and was giddy about, happy that maybe both his friends could find happiness in each other. "Oh, we prefer, uh, musician spirits." He stated quickly.
"Julie? Chris? So does this mean you're joining our band?" Luke asked mostly looking at the girl who sat by him who was still jamming out to the rhythm. "Um...Actually, I think you're joining their band. Chris standing up and throwing her arms around her two amazing friend and sister turned and looked at the boy, "I think we're gonna go with what she said." which caused both Reggie and Luke to smile at the two girls they were slowly liking more and more each day, right as Alex started to pick up the drumming.

Reggie watched Julie and couldn't help but chuckle at her adorableness, something the three other band members caught on real quick.
You~
When the song finished Julie had put her forehead up towards Flynn, while Chris pulled the two into a group hug. "Still wanna talk to our dad?" Julie questioned when the three of them pulled away from each other. "No, I'm good." Flynn happily said before the three were pulled back into the group hug once more.
"I miss group hugs." Alex said as he watched the three girls hugging it out causing the four people to look at him. "What?"
Chris just rolled her eyes before pulling away from the two girls, the tempo still playing since no one had turned it off just yet, allowing Flynn to see the guys a little longer. "Come here you big Oaf." Hearing this, Alex happily ran around his drum set into the girls arm, who he picked up and spun around, ignoring her squeals of shock.
"Aww man now I want a hug." Reggie said, jealous of the two, but not quite as jealous as Luke was even though he knew that neither one of the boys were actually into the girl. "Get over here Reggie and you can also join if you want to grumpy cat." Not wanting to seem like they were denying the initiation the two other band members joined the group, all four of them just enjoying the moment. Even though they wouldn't say it out loud in front of the girl, the boys couldn't help but say they missed it just being the four of them.
"Wait so Chris can touch them? Doesn't that mean Chris is a ghost or am I just crazy now?" Flynn stated seeing the ghost hugging her friend. "Oh, honey, we got a lot to discuss."
Ok first of all can I just say I wish I was one of these woman because I need some Matthew Daddario hugs. Second of all I finally finished the third episode, which I am so happy about because I realized I have had so many supportive people reading this book and I'm only on the fourth episode now, like Wow.
Question time
-Do you want a filler chapter about their weekend? (If so that means a little moment between Luke and Chris plus Julie and Reggie)
By the way still looking for ship names, because anyone who comes up with ones I like might get a shout out, just saying...
Lastly I found out something funny today when looking at my Spotify 2020 breakdown. I ended up being their top 2% listener with around 1,244 minutes of listening to their songs mostly Now or Never. 😅 Same thing for Ballerina...
So, yeah.....
Hope you all had a great day
