Final Moments

"I'll look back on this and smile because it was life and I decided to live it..."

~*~*~*~

"I'm the last standing, I'mma stand tall, I'mma stand tall." The Molina family sang as they did a train up their walk way towards their house. "Whatever happens, even if I'm the last."

"Tall!" Ray yelled did a fist bump towards the sky. "You, your sister and the Phantoms were unbelievable tonight. You know, I'd like to thank them for bringing not only music back into your life, but bringing Chris back towards her old self."

Julie just smiled, not trying to let her worry about her sister show on her face. "I already did, but I didn't thank you, Papi." Handing Carlos the flower she still had from the woman, Julie hugged her father.

"Hey, Julie, uh, can I talk to you for a second?" Carlos asked.

"Yeah, um, just give me a minute. I want to check on Chris for a second she complained about having a headache before leaving." Nodding his head he smiled at his sister. "Ok, I'll wait up. Don't ghost me." He winked before retreating into the house, leaving a stunned Julie on the porch.

Ray looked at his daughter as she finally broke out of her shock and turned towards him. "Just a minute." Kissing him on the cheek, they did their little hand shake before Julie did the sad walk towards the garage. "Love you."

"Love you too." Ray watched as his daughter left, smiling to the unknown circumstances that his family might face.

The garage doors were yanked open letting what little bit of light into the room, as Julie sadly walked in looking around not seeing either her sister or the guys anywhere.

A sigh came from her mouth as she looked at the room. "I-I know I already said this, but uh... thank you, guys. Make sure to watch over Chris for me." Not looking for a respond, Julie was about to turn around and leave, but stopped when a familiar voice spoke up from the ground.

"You're welcome." A groan coming from the same area.

"Dude!"

Thinking quickly, she walked over towards the light switch turning it on to see the guys laying on the ground and her sister looking to be asleep on the couch. No words could come to her mind as she walked towards the group her eyes burning in anger, but sadness knowing that their plan didn't work.

"Why...Why are you here? I...I thought..." She stopped stuttering when she watched the boys shout in pain, the jolts running through their body. "No...no! I thought you crossed over. Why didn't you cross over?"

"I guess playing the Orpheum wasn't our unfinished business." Alex snuggled to say as he attempted to lean against the amp.

Luke was hanging off the arm rest of the chair, getting a view of Chris as tears continued to trail down his face. "Point Caleb."

"We wanted you to think that we crossed over, so we pretended too, we just... we had nowhere else to go." Reggie sobbed looking at Julie, hating how the girl had to suffer and see them like this. "We thought you'd go straight to bed."

Alex looked at his band mate, finally gaining some strength to stand up. "Yeah, well, I knew she was gonna come out here, but nobody ever listens to me." Another jolt pulsed through their bodies, making Julie cry more as she ran over to Luke.

"You have to save yourself right now." When he didn't look at her she turned towards Alex, who was doing the same thing. "Go join Caleb's club. please. It's better tan not existing at all." She looked at her last hope, before running towards the doors. "Please just go. Go! Poof out! Do something! Please, do it for me."

"We're not going back there." Shaking his head at the girl, before Luke slowly made his way over to Chris who was still unresponsive to everything that was going on, while Reggie walked over to Julie. "No music wise worth making, Julie, if we're not making it with you and Chris." He felt himself breath shakily. "No regrets."

Julie didn't say anything as she pulled the boy into a hug, who quickly hugged back, none realizing what they were doing. "I love you guys." Julie whispered, before opening her eyes, pulling away from Reggie, the group watching as their band mate started to glow. "How can I feel you?"

"I...I...I don't know." Stuttering as he relished the familiar feeling, placing both hands on the girls cheek, Julie doing the same thing. Grabbing her hands and not breaking the contact he turned towards Luke and Alex. "I feel stronger."

Getting an idea, Julie looked over the boys shoulder towards the other two. "Alex, Luke, come."

Struggling at first they slowly joined the duo in a group hug, the two slowly glowing as well, before pulling apart a little to look between each other.

"Whoa...I...I..I don't feel as weak anymore."

"Yeah, me neither." The two said happily. "Not that, you know, I was ever that weak." Luke said trying to sound like he isn't surprised or anything getting laughs from the group, only for the guys to gasp when their wrist started to tingle. The four looked down and watched at the purple mark slowly rise into the air, coming off of their arms, before disappearing.

"What do you think that means?" Julie felt herself ask, still looking up.

Reggie just let out a tiny chuckle before facing the girl, a smile plastered on his face. "I think the band's back."

Julie felt herself smile at the boy before realizing there one was one person missing once again. "Wait, where's Chris? She should be over here."

Luke could feel his heart breaking as he ran over towards the girl, his strength better than earlier as he lift her head onto his lap. "Chris? Come on, Chris!" He shouted shaking the girl, as he felt the rest rush over towards him. "Guys shes not responding and I don't think she's breathing!"

"No." Julie whimpered as she placed her hands over her mouth, staring at her sister who was slowly growing more pale. Reggie sensing the girl in distress pulled her in a hug making sure she couldn't see her sister dying. "Come on Chris." He whispered as he stared at someone he though of as a sister.

Meanwhile, Alex just sat on the coffee table in utter shock, not know how to feel or say, his whole body just numb as he rubbed the girls hand.

"No." Luke at first whispered before wiping his eyes, done with crying as he pulled the girl close to his chest. "No! You don't get to do this to me Chris! I already lost Reese, I'm not losing someone else I care about anymore."

A laugh escaped from his mouth, as he recalled one moment the two spent together. "You remember the gym and how we danced together for the first time? The one thing that made me laugh was I was scared Chris. Gosh, I was scared you thought of me as a friend, but tonight I realized that no matter how much I wanted you to be like Reese, you were always there convincing me to move on and I finally did. I didn't have to look for her, when I already found someone who cared for me." He sobbed, pressing his forehead towards the girl. "You were my perfect harmony."

Not thinking twice, Luke pressed his lips on the girls like the last time they kissed except it was a lot longer this time. While his eyes were closed Julie, Alex and Reggie watched as Chris slowly started to glow herself, Luke doing the same thing once again. When he finally opened his eyes he stared at the girl, hope building up in his chest as he waited for the girl to open her beautiful eyes.

"That was so cheesy." Someone muttered, startling the group. Luke felt movement come from his lap as Chris rubbed at her eyes and slowly sat up to look at the group. "I never knew you could be a sappy person, Patterson." She smiled at the boy, still not getting a response from anyone as they continued to stare. "Um, guys, you all ok? It's like you've seen a ghost or something."

"Christine!" Was the last thing she heard before she was forced into a group hug, hearing some people sobbing as the hug grew a little tighter. "Guy? I can't breathe."

After a few more seconds the group separated, just enjoying each others full presence, as Chris let out a little groan her wrist on full display towards the group as they watched the same thing happen again. "Wow, sure not going to miss that thing." A laugh came from the girls mouth as they hugged once more celebrating that everything was turning out great.

Hours have went by, the Molina household quiet as everyone was asleep, Chris sleeping in her bed as the guys sat together outside enjoying the familiar breeze that went through them. "I can't believe we actually won." The raven haired boy said as he sat on the stone steps.

"Yeah, but I'm still worried about Willie." Alex kept biting his thumb. "I looked everywhere for him and I still can't find him. You think Caleb got to him?"

Luke pushed himself off of the wall as he walked over to the blonde and placed his hands on the boys shoulder. "Alex, breathe. Willie is probably fine and skating around or something. Tomorrow if needed will look for him." The boy just nodded, still not looking up.

"Ahh, Lu always being the supportive one." A voice said behind the boy, the three looking over to see Christine standing there her shoulder leaning against the garage door, a small smile a lit on her face. "It been awhile boys."

Alex and Reggie slowly stood up as the three just stared confused at the girls behavior. Luke cleared his throat and walked closer to the girl. "Ris you ok?"

A laugh escaped the girls mouth as she walked over to the boys. "Wow, a girls gone for twenty-five year and no one remembers her. Wow, guys why not just tell you didn't want to see me and I'll happily leave." Her thumbs pointing behind her as she waited for the guys to respond.

"Reese?" Alex questioned, slowly walking over to the girl.

Just smiling at him and shaking her head up and down. "Hey, Al."

He grabbed the girl and pulled her into his chest, not wanting to let go of her, scared that she would leave them again. Reggie now walked forward as Reese turned towards him. "How's it hanging, Reg?" She didn't get a response from the boy as he just jumped into her arms, happily picking the girl up and spinning her around.

When the moment finally ended, she turned her head to look at the frozen boy. Letting out a sigh she looked at her oldest friends. "Hey, Al. Reg, can you give me and Lu for a second?" Alex could sense the tension between the two, and just nodded grabbing Reggies arm and disappearing, leaving the two alone.

"Lu can you talk to me?" Walking over to the boy and going to place her hand on his shoulder only for him to shrug it away and walk away from the girl. "How long have you been playing this trick on us? Huh? Did Christine even exist?"

All she could do was sigh. "Lu, trust me I never planed for this to happen ok? One minute I was eating a hot dog with you guys and the next I'm siting in a dark room, alone. Yet, the funny part was the only time I ever was allowed out of that dark room was when I was singing with you guys."

"Wait, so that was why Chris kept getting lightheaded after performing? You were taking over her life? Reese that isn't right." Anger seeping into his voice, as he walked over to the girl he use to know.

"Listen to me, Lu." As she walked over to the boy, getting angry herself. "If I had a say I would have never done that to her, we both know it, but when that man gave her that stamp it affect me as well. That night you guys were performing for her birthday, I somehow was able to stay with Christine and just watch you guys."

He really didn't know what to say as he looked at the girl that he once longed to see once again. Now she was standing right in front of him and he had no idea what to say, since she was currently possessing the girl he now likes body. "I-I really don't what to say."

"There's really nothing to say, Lu." Shrugging her shoulders, before a sneaky smile grew on her face. "What we can talk about real quick though, is you dating my doppelgänger."

"Ok, first of all don't say it like that." He groaned collapsing down on the cement step his head in his hand. "Secondly, I wouldn't really say she's like you. Actually I would say the quite opposite, you were more quiet and shy, while Chris is more outgoing and hardheaded. If I'm going to be honest I wanted her to be like you, Re I really did, but after awhile I guess that I started falling for her more."

"Lu, yes I have to admit that I once did like you back then, but I can tell you and Christine belong together and I'm happy for you."

Pressing a kiss on his cheek the girl stood up and let out a sigh, looking up at the sky already regretting what she was about to say. "I've gotta go soon. My times kind of ticking away right now and I still got to talk with you and the guys, before I go."

Almost like they were listening in on the conversation, the two appeared next to her. "What's up?"

"Not surprised." She muttered before looking between the three and with quick reflexes she slapped them on the back of the heads. "Idiots! How can you be that stupid and basically sign your souls over to that devil? Plus I'm still waiting on that thank you for saving you dumb lives."

"Wait that was you?" Luke questioned, remembering the kiss she gave him before he went to perform with Julie. "Wait so I kissed you?"

"You guys kissed?" Alex's eyes grew in size still a little shocked from the earlier lip lock between the two.

"Not the time Al!" They shouted, as Reese groaned once more at her and Luke arguing. "I wasn't the one who kissed you, Chris did kiss you." Wiping her face she could feel the pull back to where she once was, signaling she had to leave. "Guys, just promise me you'll protect those girls and yourself from that guy. I hate to say this guys, but my times up and I gotta to go."

"Will we see you again?" The hurt puppy look stared at her, making the group hate what was about to come from her mouth, knowing the honest truth. "I'm sorry Reg, but my time ended when I passed away. It's Christines time to live, not mine."

All of them knew they didn't want to say goodbye, they were the four friends that helped create Sunset Curve, and now they were losing one of their members for good. Reese feeling the same way, but like she said earlier she didn't want to take over someone else's life that wasn't hers.

"You guys think we could try that hug thing one more time, for old time sakes?" Looking between the group, who either smiled or nodded.

The final hug the group experienced between Sunset Curve, as Chris grew slack falling into Lukes arm, showing their friend was gone. Letting out a sigh he transported up to the loft and carefully placed the girl back in bed, and when she was all settled, he kissed the girl who was once a ghost of his past on her forehead.

"Goodnight Molina."

So one more chapter which will just be the letters Chris made for everyone.

Thank you again for allowing me to make this book for you all guys.
