Birthday Suprise

"The love in our family flows strong and deep, leaving us memories to treasure and keep."

~*~*~*~

"Where could she be, Julie?" Luke asked frantically, as the four were left in the garage, Julie getting the guys prepared for their birthday present. "Why didn't I go after her, I should have gone after her." Grabbing his hair and yanking at his scalp in a panic.

"Luke, calm down!" The three yelled at the ghost.

"Ok, breathe. Ris is fine maybe she just needed a break from the crowd or something." Julie suggested, even though she and probably the boys all knew that it was a lie to help somewhat their nerves. Before anyone else could say anything the garage doors were pulled open and closed very quickly, showing a Flynn who was trying to wipe her tears away.

"Chris is out there, talking to your dad and Carlos. So, I would get the guys together and do the song now before I ruin my mascara more, alright. Alright." Flynn rushed back out, leaving the band a little confused.

"Was she just...huh?"

"It's Flynn never ask questions unless you're in serious needs of an answer." Julie answered Reggie as she grabbed the electric piano, as her brother and dad already helped exchange the grand piano a few minutes ago. "You ready boys?"

"For Chris? I'm always ready to sing." Luke said happily before they awaited for the garage doors to reopen once again.

"Are you sure you're ok mija? Ray asked as he hugged his daughter who was still crying while holding the necklace in her hands, curtesy of her friend. "Yeah, dad I'm fine, I promise. Quick question though, why is everyone still here, I thought it was just one song and the gig was done?" Chris questioned, as her father slowly inched the two closer to the front, where Carlos had placed a chair.

"I know, but let's just say, the party isn't over till after one more gift is given." He said before gently pushing his daughter down onto the seat.

Chris looked around confused, not understanding what her father was signaling until she all too familiar freestyle of her friend, as Carlos and his friend once again open the garage doors to her room.

"Give it up y'all, cause it's time to celebrate. The makings of a song from the band that is great. Put your hands together and dance along, to the band we love to call CJ and the Phantoms."

Julie smiled as she sported a whole new outfit more close the boys era rather than her white and butterfly looking outfit that she had on a few minutes ago.

"Hello again, everybody." Julie said in the mic as she set up her electric piano and the mic stand. "So, after the guys had found out about Chris's birthday, they decided to write a song to help celebrate today. Ris, I hope you enjoy this song, a special guy is dedicating it to you." With a wink, Julie got ready leaving a surprised Chris as instead of the usually start up from Julie, Alex's drum played.

(Julie, Luke, Reggie, Alex, Band)

Caught in the moment

Not even thinkin' twice

Everything's frozen, nothing but you and I

Can't stop my heart from beating

Why do I love this feeling?

Make me a promise, tell my you'll stay with me

If I'm bein' honest, I don't know where this leads

But that's the only question, baby, don't keep my guessin'

Luke sang, as he strummed his guitar, making every single lyric motivation to take another step closer to the girl who looked about ready to cry as she looked away. Chris had to admit Luke looked nice, as he supported what reminded her of Johnny from dirty dancing. Even though he looked great, she did have to say Luke was better as himself, with the cutoff shirts, rather than the white shirt that cuffed at his mid arm and his hair greased up rather than his usual locks she loved.

Ooh, you are my muse~, I feel so reckless~

Oh, you're makin' me, makin' me, makin' me give in

Oh, baby, I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump if you want to

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Alex was usually in the background, making it hard to usually hear his voice. So, to hear him finally have a solo made Chris happy as she laughed wiping her alligator tears away with her blue jean jacket. The boy was supporting what reminded her of something Will Smith would wear from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, as he wore a snap back and some interesting shorts and shirt, his usual fanny pack strapped across his chest.

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump, 'cause I want you

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

When I'm around you, I feel it in my veins

Reggies voice echoed from the mini speakers they had set up for their gig, making the Molina girl look at him. He was also in a different outfit, him sporting his usual leather jacket, but reminding her of what Uncle Jessie would wear when performing. All the outfit changes made the group look amazing as they performed.

There's something about you that's makin' me go insane

We have a storm to weather, my little sweet surrender

Ooh, you are my muse, I feel so reckless

Oh, you're makin' me, makin' me, makin' me give in

Oh, baby, I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump if you want to

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump, 'cause I want you

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

Fallin' (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

Fallin' (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

Fallin' (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

(Maybe, we'll just keep fallin')

Ooh, you are my muse, I feel so reckless

Oh, you're makin' me, makin' me

Makin' me, makin' me, makin' me

Makin' me, makin' me give in

Oh, baby, I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump if you want to

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Chris felt her eyes grow big and a red blush grow on her face, her starting to recall what happened prior this event in the gym.

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

I can feel the rush of adrenaline

I'm not scared to jump, 'cause I want you

Let's just fall in love for the hell of it

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'

Yeah (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

We'll just keep fallin' (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

Ooh, ooh (fallin', fallin', fallin', fallin')

Maybe, we'll just keep fallin'~

As Luke sang the last note, letting it drag as long as he could him and Chris were maybe an Ince away from each other before he sadly reminded her that he was indeed not real. The crowd cheered once again for the amazing performance as the girl once again wiped away her tears before giving a hug to her little sister, trying to ignore the pain in her heart as she looked at the ghost that was staring at her as well.

~*~*~*~

The night was slowly dying down, as the Molina residence and Flynn were in the kitchen eating pizza, wrapping paper thrown to side after Chris opened the gifts from her family a few minutes ago.

"I can't say this enough." Flynn chimed in looking at Julie and Chris. "That was incredible, but epic fail on that eye contact thing." She whispered in Julies ear, only getting a nervous laugh from the girl.

"So, how do you do those holograms?" Carlos asked, looking at Chris who was at the moment taking a bite out of her pizza, luckily Ray had spoke up before she had to come up with a plausible reason. "Oh, don't try to understand it, Carlos. I don't."

"That's because you're old." The girls just oohed, while their father did a fake laugh. "Funny guy. I'd send you to your room, but then who's gonna clean this mess?"

Julie, Flynn, and Chris looked at each other before looking back at their little brother. "Don't poke the bear."

"So what are the boys doing right now? Especially that Luke fellow, after all I should get to meet the boy who was gracious enough to drive my girls home."

"Oh, well...um. They're probably hanging out, I would guess, since Luke went back home earlier today, family emergencies and all that." Chris stuttered well rubbing the back of her neck. "You know, or whatever you do when you're from where they're from."

"Hey, so, what cameras did you use out there?" Julie interrupted quickly, getting some stress off of her sister, who was once again rubbing her arm.

~*~*~*~

While the family was inside eating, the boys were outside playing some basketball. Luke still remembering the little moment not only during the song but at the gym as well, as Reggie hit the back board before making a basket.

"Feels like we should be celebrating or something. What do you guys wanna do?" Reggie asked before passing the ball over to Luke, yet the familiar painful jolts came once again as the boys knelled over in pain. The three of them groaned and coughed when it came to an end, Alex recuperating faster looked at the other two. "Not that."

"That wasn't like the other ones it's getting worse." Luke said as he got up to look at the others, Reggie still knelling over out of breath. "Why is this happening to us?"

"It's because you guys are in serious trouble." Willies voice echoed, announcing his presence.

"Willie?"

"We need to talk. But first promise me you haven't gone into contact with your lifer friend." Willie questioned looking at the band mates, who now supported concerned looks, Luke more than the others.

"What's going to happen to Chris?"

~*~*~*~

Willie and the boys were walking down the side walk on Hollywood Boulevard, as the three guys hoped to finally gain some insight on what they have been dealing with this whole entire time, plus to hopefully gain some knowledge on why Willie was so worried about Chris.

"All these jolts were feeling is because Caleb put his stamp on us?" Luke questioned angrily, only to be stopped by the skater boy as he angrily looked at the three.

"He's threatened by you, he wants you under his control and the same goes for your friend. You're the only ghosts that can be visible to lifers without his help and your friend not only can physically touch you but also make you appear in front of lifers as well."

"And you not only let him do this to us, but to our friend Chris as well?" Alex shouted, more scared for his friend than him at the moment, since now they might have to explain to her and her sister the issue. "I can't stop him." Willie said looking at his crush. "He owns my soul. All right? He owns everybody's soul at that club, if he even knew I was here talking to you, he...he would destroy me."

"So if we don't join his club, the weird power outage thing continues until there's no power left at all?" Reggie questioned, looking at the boy, who only sighed and said yes. "What exactly happens when the power goes out?"

"That's...That's it. You're done."

"Uh-huh. Yeah, and what exactly do you mean by 'we're done'?"

Willie looked at the three ghost, knowing that once he said finished this he would have to explain the other factor that was effecting the three guys. "You just...You don't exist...anymore. Not anywhere."

Luke could only shake his head at the news. "So we have no choice? We have to say goodbye to Julie and Chris, give up everything we've built together, and work for Caleb? That's some club you guys got going on."

"But there is another option. That's why I'm here."

"Another option?" Alex scoffed, only to be silenced by Willie.

"Just please hear me out. All right, if you guys could figure out what your unfinished business is, you do it in time, you could cross over and be free from all of this."

"Ok, so what's our unfinished business?" Luke questioned.

"I don't know, but since you all died at the same time, it might be something you need to do together."

Alex was done with the boy, who not only hurt him but his friends as well, interrupting him with a shake of his hand. "Why should we listen to a word you say?"

"Because I care about you, Alex." Willie said, his eyes glazing over with emotions since he knew it was his fault they were forced into this situation. "And I hate that I brought you... and your friends into this mess. I uh- I can't be away much longer. I'm so sorry, for everything."

Before Willie could leave, Luke aggressively grabbed the boys arm and yanked him closer to him. "You still haven't explained what's going to happen to Ris. She's a lifer, meaning that she doesn't have unfinished business just yet and isn't just going to poof out of existence. So, whats going to happen to her Willie?"

The boys could hardly answer as the tears finally rolled down his eyes, making the boys panic even more. "She's going to... I can't, I just can't..."

"What's going to happen to Christine Willie?" Alex now getting angrier, as Luke continued to hold the boys arms, his gripping slowly tightening. "Huh, Willie? What's going to happen to Christine?"

"If she doesn't join Calebs band as a lifer, then he'll make sure that she joins as a ghost." With that Willie disappeared leaving the guys, alone in front of their unfinished business, in shambles.
