Ruhana is shocked to see Vineet angry. Since her childhood, she hasn't seen him  angry that he forgets his surroundings. Maybe, he has developed this trait after she left the place. It has been many years since they parted, and changes do happen. This is the change he has developed. But, she didn't like it. She keeps her hand on his shoulder.

"Vineet! Calm down. Anger won't do any good. Kya hua achanak? Abhi tak toh tum thik they." She asks.

Vineet sighs. He looks at his best friend. He doesn't know if he should tell her or if she could be of any help. He doesn't want to worry her. Her stare at him makes it difficult for him to lie. He smiles at her.

" It's nothing. Tumhe jana chahiye, varna late ho jaogi." He says.

Ruhana glances at him. She knows that something is worrying him and he isn't telling it to her. But, are secrets meant to be  kept between best friends? She looks at him.

"I am not leaving until you're telling me the real thing. Bolo, kya hua hai tumhe?" she asks, again.

" Ruhana, tum nahi samjhogi!"  he says.

" tum samjhaoge tab na. Tum toh kuch batana hi nahi chahte. Par mujhe jaanna hai. After all, hum best friends hain." She says eyeing him.

Vineet sighs. Yeah! He can tell her. Maybe, she will help him in putting some sense into his wife's brain. He glances at her.

" My wife wants me to deal with someone, who will only give me loss. " he says briefly.

" Wife!!  You married??" she asks.

Ruhana is shocked  to learn that her best friend is now married. Maybe she didn't think that it's coming upon her. She didn't realise that her best friend will be married when she will meet him. She is shocked, all the courage that she has mustered to word her feelings seem to break.

"Yeah!  She's abhilasha, my college mate. I thought she would understand me, but she didn't care. All she cares about is money and only money."  he says hatefully.

"Then why are you with her?"she asks.

" I don't know, Ruhana. I love her, but she never tries to understand me. For her, only money matters. " he says.

" Then she doesn't love you. Or I must say she doesn't deserve you. But what's done is done. You cannot change it. But you can rectify the mistake.. ". She says, staring at him.

" What do you mean? " he asks.

"I mean, make her realise her mistake. I hope she will understand your love at least." She says.

Vineet sighs. Ruhana looks at him and asks him to talk to his wife for one more time. Comforting him, she leaves the place.

As soon as she leaves his office, tears stream down her eyes.  She hires a cab and tells the driver the destination. She is lost in her thoughts. Maybe, she wasn't ready for  the news that's served to her. After all, he is just 30 years old. A small memory of their childhood flickers in her mind.

*Flashback Begins*

They are at the terrace of her house. He's a seven year old boy, while she is 5 years old. Ever since she's born, these two have been together.  Their mothers have already labelled them as "Inseparable". And that's the beauty of the relation that they share. His mother has also said that she will get them married when they grow up. And the two friends always laugh at the same. He is always there to cheer her up and she  is always by his side. That day, she is angry at him and rushed up the stairs while he followed her. She's angry because he's hurt on his hand and he didn't tell her.

"Ruhaana, suno na. You're my best friend na!". He says.

"Tum nahi mante. Agar maante toh tum mujhe sab batate. Par tumne nahi bataya." She says glaring at him.

" Arey! Usko help chahiye thi. Aur help karne mein chot lag gayi." Vineet reasons.

"Toh wo mujhse achi dost hai tumhari?" she snaps at him angrily.

Vineet smiles at her words. So, there lies the problem. He helped a friend in his class, and Ruhana knows her too. They stay in the same colony, but Vineet and the other girl are in same class while Ruhana is a year junior to them. He hugs her..

"Wo meri dost hai. Par tu toh meri best friend hai. How can I forget you?". He says cutely.

"Really? Bade hokar bhul toh nahi jaoge na?" she asks.

"Kabhi nahi. Agar hum alag ho bhi gaye, toh bhi I will wait for you. Waise bhi, abhi hume bahut kuch achieve karna hai. Toh fir pehle hum apne dreams pure karenge na." he says.

Her face lights up with a smile and she hugs him as tight as she can.

"Yay! That's a good decision."  She says.

He holds her hand.

"Promise me, tumne jo dreams dekhe hai unhe pura karogi!" he says.

"I promise. Pinky promish.  Aur tumhe promise karna padega ki tumhari wo stupid dost ke chakkar mein tum chot nahi lagvaoge? Promise karo.". She says.

He smiles and keeps his other hand on hers, making her smile.

"Fir hum sath mein rahenge."  they both spoke in unison and then laugh.

*Flashback Ends*

Ruhana smiles tearily. Yeah! They promised each other that they will fulfill their dreams. It's destiny plans, that they had to part soon after they gave promises to each other. Ruhana's father got transferred and she left Mumbai. They try to remain in touch,but they got busy in their own lives. She lost her parents and then she began making her own identity.

Now that she's here, she thought to word her feelings to Vineet, and suddenly she learns that she is married. Tears drops trickle down her eyes.

"Tum fir se ek ladki ki wajah se takleef pa rahe ho. You promised that you'll wait for me, you promised that we'll be together, but you broke it all." She speaks to herself.

Yeah! She is shocked and hurt. Shocked to know that Vineet married someone and hurt because his own wife is hurting him. And all she wants is his happiness. Her phone ring breaks her trance. She wipes her tears and takes the call. She's surprised to hear what the caller has to say and she agrees to the caller. She takes a deep breath and that's when the driver tells her that they have reached her destination. She pays him and moves to meet her estate agent. A long day is still left, before she gets a chance to meet him again.
