Mumbai was a home to many people. Living through the fast paced city, it was home to Vineet Raichand, a serviceman. He was a happy person with his wife and two sons,actually three. He was retiring from his job and was quite happy about it. His wife was a homemaker and was with him at every point of time. Vineet Raichand and his wife, Ruhana, were celebrating their thirtieth anniversary today.

Ruhana was in the kitchen when a pair of hands hugged her. She kept her hands on his...

"30 saal guzar gaye Vineet. Tumhari aadat nahi badli. " she said.

"Tum bhi toh nahi badli. Farak sirf itna hai ki ab hum dada dadi ban chuke hain, pyar thode na kam hua. " he said keeping his chin on her shoulder.

"Vineet mujhe kaam karne do. Deep aur Mahesh kabhi bhi aa jayenge. Nashta taiyar karna hai. " she said.

He pulled her... "Anniversary hamari hai, khatir tum undono ki karogi. How fair is that? " he said.

Ruhana smiled... "Mool se zyada byaj pyara hota hai na. Ab tumse zyada wo pyare hai mujhe. But yeah..i love you. Happy Anniversary. " she said as she pecked a kiss on his cheek.

Meanwhile, the doorbell rang. Ruhana smiled...

"they're home. " she smiled thinking of her children.

She opened the door and it was Anoop Mehra, her husband's best friend. He gave her a bouquet and wished her for the day. Vineet too came there and they hugged each other. Anoop looked at Ruhana...

"Lagta hai aap mujhe dekh ke khush nahi hui Bhabhi! "he said.

"Aisa nahi hai. " she said.

Vineet smiled.. "Arey yaar... Ab Inhe hamari chinta kahan! Ab inki aankhein humko nahi apne bachon ko dhundhti hai. Hamara kya, hum toh side mein kar diye gaye hain. " he joked and both of them laughed.

"Tumhara kuch nahi ho sakta Vineet. Aap dono baitho main chai laati hoon. " saying so she went into the kitchen.

Vineet and Anoop were talking, Ruhana came and served them tea.

Just then they heard a voice.... "chai toh hume bhi peeni hai maa aapke haatho ki"

Vineet and Ruhana looked and a smile came on their face.

Their sons with family were standing there. Mahesh the elder son with his wife Mithi and his daughter Mishti. Deep the younger son with his wife Tara and their son Ansh.

Together they wished "Happy Wedding Anniversary"

Ruhana and Vineet hugged them. Ruhana asked "Mishti kaha hai?"

Mishti was on phone, she comes and hugs Ruhana "Dadi..happy anniversary"

Ruhana kissed her forehead "Thank you beta"

"aap sab mujhe bhool gaye" an innocent little voice was heard.

Vineet lifted him in his arms "aapko kaise bhool sakte hai Junior"

He kissed his cheek and said "Happy Anniversary Senior"

"thank you junior" he replied.

Mithi spoke up "nahi bas thank you se kaam nhi chalega"

"toh?" Ruhana asked.

They said "we want a party party"

Vineet said "okay fine Party"

Everyone got busy in making arrangement for the party. The phone rings.

Vineet moved and picked up the landline phone "hello"

The person from other side spoke up "tameve maata pita tameve tameve bandu sakha tameve"

Vineet smiled hearing this and said "Aarav.. Beta"

Ruhana smiled hearing this and ran over to him "Aarav"

Aarav said "namaste papa"

"Khush raho.." Vineet blessed, Ruhana was desperate to talk to him. "Lo apni maa se baat karo bahut utawali ho rahi hai tumse baat karne ke liye"

He hands her the phone, Ruhana said "aarav.."

"Namaste Maa main bhagwan se prathna karunga ki aap aur papa aise hi haste muskurate hue soh saal tak jeeye?" he said

Ruhana replied "thank you beta, lekin tumhare aise wishes se kaam nhi chalega tumne kaha tha na tum aaoge hamari anniversary pe India kitni yaad aati hai tumhari humhe"

Aarav said "Maa padai toh khatam ho gayi hai lekin ek bahut achi job lagi hai yahan koshish karunga ki jald hi mumbai transfer lelun aur fir aapke saath aake rahun"

"Wo toh thik hai par aaj shaam party mein tum nhi hoge toh kaise chalega?" Ruhana complained and hands the phone to Vineet.

"Maa.. suno toh" Aarav said.

Vineet spoke up "Aarav wo naraz ho gayi hai"

"Papa aap unhe samjha dijiye rakhta hoon" Aarav said and ended the call.

Vineet kept the reciever and moved to Ruhana. He turned her around and said "naraz mat ho baki sab hai na yahan"

Ruhana smiled and nodded.

Later everyone got ready for the party. Anoop said "Deep intezam toh bahut hi zabardast kiya hai tum sabne"

"Karna hi tha chachaji special party jo hai" Deep replied.

"Wo toh thik hai lekin celebrations jinke liye hai wo kaha hai?" Anoop asked.

Mahesh said "Aate hi honge Chachaji aap tabtak thanda vanda pijiye" he said while giving the juice.

RuVi's room

Ruhana was struggling to tie the knot of the blouse from behind, she sighed "arghhh"

Vineet came and saw her "Wow.."

Ruhana glanced at him through mirror and said "khade kya ho? Bandho na"

Vineet nodded and moved forwards, he helps her tie and said "maine thik hi kaha tha Ruhana.. Waqt chahe jitna bhi aage chale jaaye tumhara aur mera pyar wahi rahega"

Ruhana smiled, he hugged her from behind "aur waqt se saath tum aur young dikh rahi ho"

"Acha.. bas baaton se hi aaj mann behlana hai tumhe?" she asked.

Vineet left her, Ruhana turned to him. "Nahi tumhara tohfa neeche hai chalo"

"Kya hai?" she asked.

"Are chalo na.. Usko dekhke tumhari muskan aur badi ho jayegi" Vineet said and they moved downstairs.

Everyone clapped seeing them and wished, Anoop said jokingly "humhe toh laga humhe yahan chodke tum bhabhi sang honeymoon pe nikal liye"

Vineet laughed and Ruhana smiled shyly. Mahesh said "are jab celebrations hai hi.. Toh zara hamari maa ko uthake zara center tak le jao"

"Are nahi pagal ho gaye ho kya?" Anoop said.

"Kyun?" Vineet asked

"Iss umar mein uthaoge toh kamar mein jhatka vatka aa jayega" Anoop said suppressing his smile.

Vineet glared at him... "Acha? Dekho bhudhe hoge tum abhi toh hum jawan hai uthake dikhau?" he asked

"Haan papa ab toh utha hi lijijye maa ko" Mahesh said.

He turned to Ruhana and was about to lift her up but Ruhana moved "nahi nahi.."

Then, the lights get deemed a person speaks "safar yeh pyar ka yuhi chalta rahega waqt ke saath aur jawan hota rahega umar nahi koi inke pyar ki happy anniversay maa and papa"

Ruhana looked and a broad smile came on her face. It was Aarav, Aarav moved to her and took blessings. Ruhana kissed his forehead and hugged him "Aarav"

Vineet asked "toh kaisa laga tohfa?"

"Best tohfa hai tumne phone pe toh kuch aur hi kaha tha" Ruhana said.

"Wo sab aap papa se kaho unhone hi mujhe batane se mana kiya tha" Aarav said while looking at Vineet.

Ruhana turned to her husband.. "Kyun mana kiya tumne? " she asked.

Vineet smiled and kept her hands on her shoulders... "Wo kya hai na shrimatiji, Mahesh aur Deep ne toh Mithi aur Tara ke sath mil ke yahan aakar hame surprise de diya. Party ke arrangements bhi kar liye. Toh ab Aarav ka saath kisi ko dena padta na. So maine diya. " he said.

"Aur agar main bata deta toh aapki smile kaise milti mujhe. "Aarav said.

Ruhana ruffled his hair... "Ab lagta hai na sara parivar sath hai. " she said looking at Deep, Mahesh and Aarav.

"Ab jab tumhare teenon bete tumhare saamne hain, let's cut the cake. "

"Hame bhi cake khana hai dadi. Jaldi se cut karo na. "Ansh came and stood in front of them.

Ruhana smiled. Vineet lifted him in his arms...

"chalo senior aur junior milke cake kaatenge. " he said.

Ansh chuckled. Ruhana called for Mishti and they together cut the cake.
