24; MINIATURE VOLCANOES AND ICICLED LEVIATHANS

Amelia teleports, landing on a random rooftop somewhere in Manhattan.  "Where the hell--?"  she mutters to herself, scanning around the neighboring buildings.

"Amelia! Four o'clock!"  Clint exclaimed to her comm, making Amelia turn around to a building adjacent to the four o'clock direction he declared.  "Clint, you have eyes... Does anyone need evacuating?"  she asks on the earpiece as she incinerated Chitauri chariots circling the building She's currently standing on.  By shooting fireballs and some icicles.

"Humvees are gathered around the buildings on West 26th Street.  Those aliens are bugging them though, looks like they need your help."  He instructs, as she starts taking steps backward to jump on a chariot.

"'Kay, thanks."  Clint watches her with worry as he shoots one of those flying chariots without even looking, firing successfully.  "What are you doing?"

"Jumping."  She simply replies as she leaps extremely high and farther from the edge.  As she falls, she turns around on her back, facing upwards.  With a strong swing of her arms, she shot a massive flamethrower, eliminating almost ten of the chariots.  As they burn into ashes, she teleports outta there.

Clint saw her impressive fire tactic, making him smile proudly.  "I trained her well."

Amelia appeared in the middle of soldiers gathering and evacuating civilians and shooting aliens with their weapons in order to eliminate them off West 26th Street.  As she dodges an incoming energy beam from those Chitauri soldiers, she spins around, shooting more icicles.  Eliminating five.

She then pulls down her hood farther from her face, she sprints towards a soldier that's yelling orders to his fellow comrades.  Assuming he's the captain, and he doesn't look any older than thirty.  "Sir, need assistance?"

While keeping her head down, the captain eyed her, because of her civilian clothing.  Remember, she doesn't have one of those superhero suits, yet.  "Miss!  You must be evacuated with the others.  Follow the line!"  He barks at her, almost pulling down Amelia's hood to reveal her identity.

But she shoved the incoming hand away whilst keeping her head down.  "I insist!"

He scoffs, "and what would you do?!"

She turns around, raising her head but not loosing her hood.  Amelia walks forward towards the marching Chitauri soldiers, all aiming their energy rifles in her direction.  "MISS!  MOVE YOUR ASS OVER THAT LINE RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!"  He yells, pointing at the civilian line as his soldiers watch the girl, amused.  It did remind her that he's an obnoxious one.

Smirking at the aliens, they just shrug and and started firing at her, but she dodges immediately by slamming her fists flat on the cement pavement, kneeling on one knee.  The ground starts shaking uncontrollably, but the source of the shaking is what those aliens didn't see coming.

The whole West 26th Street then erupted holes, molten lava exploding out of them, like miniature volcanoes were formed.  The lava exploded straight on the aliens, burning and incinerating them into ashes, even the ones flying in chariots above them.  Thankfully, not a lot of the unbearable hot, and thick lava reach the innocent people behind Amelia, watching both in fear and amazement at her powerful move upon the Chitauri.

Amelia was able to manipulate the lave to sprung up into the surface, from being buried way beneath the Earth's crust.  The power of the ring and her gloves combined were that robust and powerful, that it was able to explode something buried way underneath the Earth's crust out into the daylight.  The phenomenal sighting left the captain and everyone speechless.  Hawkeye witnessed it from above at his roof, "holy shit, Amelia!"

He watched it with wide eyes as he exploded another Chitauri chariots from one of those trick arrows he shot, aiming it from behind.

Amelia looks up towards the direction where Hawkeye is currently stationed, giving him a thumbs up ever so casually.  "And don't you even dare thumbs up, me!"  He shot another arrow assertively.

She chuckles as she turns around to her audience, their jaws gaping all the way down to the cement.  I mean that figuratively obviously, but their eyes are so wide as well.  Jogging at the captain, she reminds him one last time, "we can help as much as we can.  Now continue on what you're doing."

He looked down at her with wide eyes, "we?!  WE?!"

She giggles as she walks away to teleport once again, "you'll know one when you see one."

Freezing the wound not visibly again, she teleports.  Vanishing before their eyes with the essence of those violet mists afloat trailing her disappearance.

"Alright, Amelia, whatever the fuck you just did, its time to do what you're originally ordered to," Clint says on Amelia's ear as she is carrying a child in her arms from a building ransacked by aliens. Running away as aliens start chasing her with the child in her arms. Leading the last child in the building to safety, she says, "that was my first and I'm already doing it.  Just gimme a moment..."

The little girl clung to her chest as Amelia leaps off a shattered window, teleporting to where the little girl's mother is currently panicking, whom she saved earlier.  The Chitauri chasing her throughout the building halted to a stop, desperately looking for the woman that can teleport, erupt molten lava, and well, freeze anything.

Amelia appeared in the safe, grass field, where the other's she saved are gathered around.  The little girl's mother ran to her child, bringing the child in her arms with tears pouring from her face, "oh my gosh, Abigail!  You got me worried sick!!"  Amelia stood before the reunited pair, smiling when she mentioned the child's name, reminding her of Abbey.  "I'm fine, mommy!  That girl saved me!"

Letting each other go, the little girl then turned back to Amelia, smiling every so brightly, pushing aside the chaos currently occuring in the city.  "Miss, thank you so much!"

Amelia smiled, giving her a firm nod.  Pulling down her hood to cover her face, she says, "stay safe until people I know will help, okay?"

Abigail nods, "I'll help my mommy like how you helped me, miss!  Like a superhero!"  Then she raised her small fist up in the air as she runs around close to her mother, like she's flying like a superhero.  Amelia couldn't help but giggle, but she reminded herself that she better get going.  "Okay, kiddo.  Your welcome, by the way."

The girl laughs as she hugs her mother once again, the mother looking up at her with eyes glowing with happiness and relief, "thank you, I owe you!"

Amelia smiles softly, "no need to, miss.  I better get going.  More help is on the way," she reminds the mother, who nodded and saluted her.

Pulling down her hood much farther, she starts jogging farther from the large crowd filled with people she saved earlier that day.  Reaching over to her earpiece, she requests onto a S.H.I.E.L.D comm, "I need an extraction team about three miles north of the city!  Does anyone copy?"

Then an agent understood her order, "copy that, Vale.  How many?"

"About thirty to fifty civilians."

"Roger that," the agent replies, before Amelia vanishes back into the city.

Stella agitatedly paces back and forth inside her living room, Regina leaned back and still shock of what she thought of Amelia. Her knees were brought close to her as she sat, Stella running her hands through her hair, messing up her neat updo.

They've been the same ever since they saw their step-family member vanish before their eyes, switching Amelia with instead violet mists.

The television is still on though, footage of Captain America and Black Widow fighting off aliens being shown, Thor and the Hulk fighting off those Leviathans, Iron Man soaring through the city with Chitauri chariots trailing behind his suit, and Hawkeye still stationed at the rooftop, shooting Chitauri soldiers with his special trick arrows.

But what caught their eye was when the news had hands on the surveillance on West 26th Street, they were never turning back on showing such a footage.

Indeed was the footage of Amelia's miniature volcaoes spurting out of the cement street, almost making Stella faint, but she thanfully didn't. It also did make Regina furious that she was keeping and bearing such of a secret.

"She's like one of them, mom. Like those, freaks," Regina slowly states as soon as after the footage was shown, her voice breaking. Her knees were still close to her, hugging them. The news named her 'the mystery hooded figure', still unknown of the identity of the mystery girl because of the hood, hence the name. But Stella and Regina knew who it was all too well under the secrecy.

"But she isn't a freak, Regina! She's saving those people," Stella defended, making her more worried. "Which is too dangerous for her and when that alien invasion is over, I'm flying to Manhattan!" She declared every word meaningfully, making Regina nod furiously, "and she needs to explain everything. All those secrets she and Elizabeth had hidden, from, us."

Stella watched in horror of Amelia's next move, another footage. Same goes to Regina.

"Lady Amelia, another one of those Leviathans passed us, but we're busy!" Thor exclaimed in Amelia's earpiece, stopping her from walking any further in the demolished and silent street she just teleported to. "Nuh-uh, no, nope! No way am I fighting those, Chitauri Leviathans!!"

"But metal man is already trying to fight one!" Thor reasons, while Amelia shot icicles agilely at five Chitauri soldiers entering the empty street. "And the Captain and Lady Natasha are definitely busy..."

"Thor, I'm taking more civilians to safety--" She tries to reason, but Tony interrupts suddenly in her earpiece, "Sparky, I saw what you did on West 26th. I flew over it! Lava almost ended me and my suit!!"

"Lava?!" Thor exclaims while conducting more lightning from his hammer.

Tony continues flying, luring more of those Chitauri chariots to their dooms. "Look, Amelia, what if you did it with ice?"

This made her thinking, but Amelia's still not doing it, "no way!! And I'm fighting off Chitauri soldiers..." She's right, as one lunged at her, she dodged the blow and snatched off the energy rifle from his hands, shooting the soldier with it. One ran towards her as she did a roundhouse, after that immediately shooting a flamethrower at the incoming two. "How 'bout Clint and one of his trick arrows?"

"He prefers his temporary nest..." Thor answers while combating chariots with the Hulk.  More kept on coming, "Wonton, Thor, I can't."

"Yes you can," he snaps back as she shot another icicle, "no way."

"Yes way."

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"No way!"

"No way!"

"Yes-- Oh shut it! And, oh," as she runs towards one, head scissor take down one of those powerful aliens, tearing its head off with all her might, and shooting fireballs at an incoming one, an overwhelmingly enormous shadow flies over her. The loose Leviathan itself.

"Oh, shit. I really have to do I?" She mumbles to herself as she sprints, chasing the flying creature, more aliens trailing behind her. Tony didn't respond back, instead he smirked in his suit. She's got it, he thought to himself as he kept fighting off those aliens with Captain America.

Amelia finally teleported, landing on the Leviathan's back. "Whoa!!" She exclaims to herself as she wiggles her arms in the air, trying to contain balance. Gratefully, she was triumphant.

Holding on to one of the creature's alien parts, she began jogging, then sprinting towards the Leviathan's head. The creature allthough swooped down at the street, trying to rub off the pesky human he felt sprinting on its back.

Amelia almost fell off the edge off the creature, but she teleported midair, landing back on the mid-section of the large, alien creature. Her heart is pounding against her chest, muttering, "not. Giving. Up. That. Easily." Sprinting towards its head, she teleported then reappeared mid-air, mid-leap.

Slamming her fists onto the firm, hard, alien's back, icicles ten times the size of the icicles she usually shot emenate out of the Chitauri Leviathan's insides, piercing its whole head. Icicles sprung out everywhere, making the Leviathan roar out its last roar, breathing out its last breath as it starts descending roughly. Amelia ran to the tip of its head before jumping, landing on the pavement by rolling over in order to break her.

As she raises herself up, the Leviathan crashes onto the pavement, its icicle-spiked head landing first in the background. Ultimately killing the creator of mayhem.

Iron Man flies over head as he passes Amelia, witnessing the downfall of the Leviathan, "see? Knew you could do it, Sparky. And aren't you a mess!"

Amelia looks up at the suit zooming pass her, smirking. "Thanks and I can see."

"No problem," he replies back.

Smiling at her accomplishment with pride, her lower abdomen suddenly shook pain thoughout her. "Ow!" She hisses, clutching onto her abdomen, which reminded her she better freeze it.

Raising herself up straighter, she freezes the wound, making it feel much number and the pain much more bearable. Sighing in relief and relieving with the coolness raiding her body, Clint suddenly pops in her eapiece, "Amelia, the bank on 42nd past Madison, they caught a lot of civilians there."

Exhaling, "alright, thanks."

Then she vanished once again.
