23; AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
Details of me teleporting are so limited, but to my perspective, a lot of these details are described based on my experiences.
People that had seen me teleport would describe that when I would vanish, violet, not purple as there's a difference, mists flash when I disappear and reappear. Violet would be more of the accurate shade of the mists, but why? I don't know. My mother had told me when she teleported with the ring, she'd emit scarlet-red mists. Therefore she'd theorize that the color would be based on the elemental ability of the person using it. So far in the Echard family, I was the first to have the distinctive color that doesn't really clash with the color red; violet.
The Echards, my mother's side of the family, are pyrokinetic elementalists, as my mother would refer them to. Since the mists that I emit are a completely different shade, I theorized that since I am both pyrokinetic and cyrokinetic, its colors, scarlet-red for fire and turquoise for ice, the color combined would be violet. But, its not for a fact because its just sadly a theory.
Anyways, those details are based on the eyes of people that don't teleport. In my eyes, I see the mist and violet rays just flash before eyes. I guess that's why my eyes are closed when I finally arrived at my destination. How do I determine my destination although?
Well, with the classic SpongeBob gesture; imagination. Like I imagine on what the place would be like, and it just doesn't turn up an anonymous location, like the ring has this connection with my mind that is so powerful. I think it can be unpredictable, but I rarely made mistakes now because of well, experience. But what do I feel when I do vanish?
Gushing winds and tornadoes suddenly appear around me during the process of teleportation, in my personal description. Although, I am oblivion of the feeling when small things accompany just in time when I vanish. Such as a Glock .45 ACP pistol's bullet. Specifically the .45 GAP bullet designed for the pistol's cartridge. (A/N: OKAY FORGIVE ME BUT I LOOKED EVERYTHING UP ABOUT PISTOLS ON WIKIPEDIA AND A BUNCH OF WEBSITES... I'M SORRY IF SOME OF THE INFORMATION IS INACCURATE!!!)
Here I am now with one embedded in the lower left of my abdomen. In a not-really-damaged Manhattan alleyway. That is if you want to include the screams of terrified and innocent citizens running away towards the end of the alleyway. Which reminded me that I better get out there and help the others. The Avengers.
Thankfully, the shock of the bullet piercing through my skin and muscles wore off during my teleportation. It also lessens the kinetic energy coinciding with the bullet; highly affecting the effect of the bullet's weight, velocity, and gravitational trajectory. Practically, weakening the impact of the 12 gram bullet piercing through me at 1,150 feet per second, bringing 660 joules through my body. And we're talking about the smallest, possible bullet for a pistol. Being a crime lab analyst has its perks, but my comments on all of this was that well, holy shit, and I have come to a conclusion that I am incredibly lucky. Karma wasn't that much of a bitch today I guess... Or it was 'cause of you know...
But all I could feel is definitely pain on the abdomen area, a rare and exceptional pain that you don't get to witness everyday. Or when Mother Nature decides to take its course. Slowly looking down at my lower abdomen, the blood starts pouring in like there's no tomorrow. And I'm loosing the chance of seeing one tomorrow so I better work fast.
My eyes widen at the sight of blood slowly and intimately staining my white, long sleeved shirt, which I mentally curse myself for wearing one today, like a red blob. Immediately dropping the hoodie from my hand onto the cement, dirty, alleyway pavement, I lift up the shirt, revealing a beyond horrific sight. This is the second time I've been shot before in my whole, entire life.
My instinct is to freeze the gunshot wound, making it feel as numb as possible so I can move and function with the pain. And that's what I exactly did.
Bringing the shirt held up with my mouth, I release ice from my hands and start freezing that whole thing, even the blood pouring. Last thing I need is a bandage of sort to provide pressure, for precautions just in case it starts melting and woo hoo! Blood all over again.
Tearing the beautiful shirt's extended cloth, I wrap the bandage around my abdomen tightly and tied it in the knot, hopefully to stabilize the blood loss and making me feel not-really excruciating pain thanks to the cold temperature freezing the blood in that whole area.
Tying my hair into a side braid, I pick up the hoodie from the ground and slip it on. And pulling the hoodie over my head so no one would recognize me, considering that I am a step-granddaughter of the famous Cervetti's. Also fixing my gloves neatly within the sleeves.
Freezing my wound one last time, I ran out of the alleyway into the daylight amidst the battle of Manhattan, New York. Now to find the others. "Help! Somebody, please! Help!!"
I instantly spun around to the direction of the cry of help. Before my eyes are three Chitauri soldiers gathered around a pile of ruble from a fallen building. Oh hell no.
The victims kept crying for help, making the alien soldier draw nearer. I teleported, appearing right behind the aliens, shooting large and sharp icicles through their throats; that is, if they have such thing in their anatomy. Back to the current situation, after eliminating the aliens, I start piling up snow from my hands to lift the heavy, cement ruble, "Go, go, go!" I exclaim, and I can tell it revealed a young woman and two small children.
"Thank you so much!" The lady thanked as she helped lift her children, I presume, from the rubble. Leaving the rubble, I immediately let go, turning around to the small family. The lady froze when they saw my face, recognizing immediately obviously. But one of the children, a small boy, smiled brightly upon all the chaos around him, "thank you for your help, lady!"
I smiled, "no problem, kid." The lady replaced with her straight frown to a smile, returning back to the reality that I just saved them. Giving a nod, I pulled down the hood farther my face to hide my identity and started sprinting onto the next block. "Stay away from the aliens!" I cry out, giving them one last reminder.
Teleporting to another block, I spot police cars rallied up and panicked civilians running around from the flying chariots of horror, and aliens. The cars were exploding and smoked oozed out of everything everywhere, I froze the wound one more time as I sprinted further into the street. As I run in closer one person caught my eyes.
He's standing on top of a roof of a car, in that familiar spangly outfit, holding his shield and an alien's arm that he just probably knocked out recently, very casually. Oh, Steve...
"...We're gonna set up a perimeter around at 39th street," I pass the policeman that is throwing orders on his walkie talkie.
Whilst running and leaping from car to car towards him, but the same policemen throwing orders yanked my arm, stopping me in my tracks, "hey lady! You shouldn't be here!"
I just smirked at him whilst keeping my head down, as I swiftly outstretched an arm, incinerating an incoming alien from behind us with a flamethrower. Yanking off my arm while still keeping my head down, I can tell he looked completely astonished at my move. Giving him one look, I put a finger on my lips to shush him, resulting him at nodding furiously in his response.
Running away from the stunned policeman, I make my way to Steve. "Steve!" I call out his name, his head whipping to my direction. "Amelia!"
Freezing my wound unnoticeably, I run towards him. He flashed that beautiful smile at his, "I didn't know you can keep promises."
I took a step towards him, returning the smile, "people like that are rare these days..."
~Third Person's POV~
Their fondness over each other ensued them to gaze into their eyes, and very slowly are they starting to lean. Millimeter, to another millimeter to... "Hey! Watch out you lovebirds!!"
Tony's warning deluge both Steve's and Amelia's earpiece, making them both shift their heads away from each other straightaway. The Iron Man passed them as he flew, the Chitaurian Leviathan trailing and flying upon them, its great shadow occupying great distances. Amelia looks up at the hovering creature with the exact horrific awe the others expressed when their eyes set on it.
"What the hell is that?!" She yelled over its roaring, Steve shrugging. "that's the creature-thingy-majigy I mentioned earlier!"
"Oh." Amelia has no words to describe the, well thing. But it did snap her back to reality, shaking her head, "but we have to, like..."
"Save the people," Steve finishes for her, but in a questioning tone.
She grinned smugly, ready to fight. "Yeah. Save the people and defeat Loki once and for all." Freezing her wound unnoticeably one more time, she held on to Steve's large bicep and vanished. Like she described, with the trail of the violet mist.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks to Amelia's teleportation, they landed on a street, destruction, flying aliens, smoke, fires, panicked people, and technically chaos splattered all over it. And its everywhere in Manhattan.
Both sprinted towards the street, eliminating some aliens on the way. They finally intrude on Natasha and Clint's battling.
Steve knocked and battled more aliens with his shield. Amelia used the simplicity of shooting icicles and fireballs with the impressive accuracy and speed to eliminate the aliens. She leaped over a car as Steve landed in front of Clint, knocking them aliens. As she landed from leaping, she froze the cement, making the charging Chitauri soldiers slip while running. Teleporting and reappearing a few feet above the fallen and laying aliens, she twirled, shooting multiple icicles. Stabbing and ending the Chitauri soldiers laying on the frozen cement.
Landing in a crouched pose, she immediately rose up when thunder roared and lightning landed right in front of her. She leaped backwards, dodging the sudden attack. As Thor landed, she gotten mad, facing up at the god from her hooded face, "watch it!"
"I apologize, Lady Amelia." She warmly smiled at the god, "its okay." He returned her smile as Clint approached her. "Hey, kiddo!"
She turned around, her smile even brightened at the sight of her very first S.H.I.E.L.D supervising officer. Jogging at the Clint, they did their secret handshake. Yes, Clint's too cool to have one, especially with his old trainee. (A/N: Gif on the side!) Steve raised an eyebrow at the random action between the two.
"Clinton Francis Barton," Amelia greets, making Clint return her smile. "How's it going, kid? And, what's with the, um, hood?" He almost pulled down her hood, but she shoved his hand away.
She scowled, "I'm not that young... well... if you consider 26... And for my identity issues."
Clint rolled his eyes, "you're not famous, yet..." Natasha then breaks up the small reunion. "Alright you two, long time no see, blah, blah. Glad for you to come back though," Natasha rests a hand on her shoulder, smirking. "I thought you really quit."
"I've made a promise," Amelia replies, looking at Steve's direction. Steve smiles, Natasha follows her gaze, smirking at the two.
But Steve snapped out of the gazing to quickly because he remembers they have a fight to win. Switching immediately to captain mode, he walked towards Thor, "what's the story upstairs?" The others gather around them as Clint mends with an arrow.
"The powers surrounding the cube is impenetrable," Thor replies, as Tony adds suddenly in everybody's ear. "Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys."
"They look like some sort of alien Leviathan," Amelia describes, earning weird looks from everyone, with the exception of Tony. "What?"
"I think they are, whatever that is. But how do we do this?" the Black Widow asks, mixed emotions filled her questioning statement. Let's say curious, hopeful then doubt and aghast.
"As a team," Captain America firmly answers, insistent and determined to defeat the god that started it all.
"I have unfinished business with Loki," Thor reasons, but everyone couldn't agree more because its the same for everyone else.
Especially Clint, "yeah? Get in line." He's still mending with an arrow.
"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need," Steve gathers their attention as he steps forward, starting their instructions. "Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us..."
Just then, everyone's attention was drawn to an engine running very loudly. They all look over to Bruce arriving the scene on a small motorbike. He climbs off the bike, scanning around the city. His face was straight, but let's say inside of him, he wasn't pleased with the sight.
"So," Bruce starts walking towards the group, "this all seems, horrible."
"I've seen worse," Natasha remarks, earning her an apologetic look from him. "Sorry."
"No," she insists, "we could use, a little worse."
Amelia smiles at her thought, yet a little bit frightened of witnessing a hulk transformation. Steve reaches over to his earpiece at his ear, "Stark? We got him. And her."
"I've seen her. And Banner?" Tony replies.
"Just like you said."
"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." (A/N: Cue the video! Adding music for one last touch. :D) Stark suddenly appears from around behind the building, the Chitaurian Leviathan trailing behind him. And he looks impatient, wanting to catch the man in the metal suit.
Amelia's eye widened, her mouth gaping slightly open at the terrifying creature advancing towards them very quickly. "Holy. Shit." She remarks, as Steve held her hand, giving it a firm grasp. She looked over to him, Steve replies with a unyielding nod.
"I... I don't see how that's a party..." Natasha comments, stilling staring at the creature wide eyed. Amelia pulled down her hood, both letting go of each other's hand. "Me either..."
Iron Man swoops down the street, bringing the Leviathan lower with him. The Leviathan barrels the street like a freight train that keeps building and building its dangerous intensity. Also crashing and smashing everything in its path in the process. Bruce give one last look at the anticipating team, then at the Captain. He then turns around, starting to approach the thing bravely and casually.
"Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time to get angry."
Bruce takes one last glance at the group, "that's my secret Captain." He gave a hard look before turning away like there's no more turning back, "I am always angry."
He faces the incoming Chitaurian Leviathan, that's destroying everything in its path. His body starts erupting the color green throughout, stretching and hardening into the... The Hulk.
In all its wrath, behold the sight of the Hulk. Smashing its bare fist straight at the Chitaurian Leviathan, the whole thing flips a whole three-sixty degrees from the strength and impact from the dangerously strong blow. Pieces start disassembling and falling from its extraterrestrial structure.
"Hold on!" Stark warns as he hovers above the team watching, well, the smashing. With one of his powerful miniature rocket that released from his suit, he aimed it at the Leviathan's soft spot, specially calculated by J.A.R.V.I.S. Firing the missile, it exploded the Leviathan into bits and pieces, sizzling its meat onto the pavement. The Captain protected both of him and Amelia with his shield from the exploded debris. Natasha and Clint quickly headed towards a car for their protection.
As soon as the Leviathan exploded, cries of battle from the rest of the Chitauri soldiers erupt and roam throughout the city. They did witnessed a superior's end.
"From above and on the buildings, the Chitauri Army watches in horror as a group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes find themselves united against a common threat. To fight the foes no single superhero could withstand! THE AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" ~The Avengers Script, written by the one and only Joss Whedon.
The Avengers finally assemble as they gather together, Amelia standing between the Captain and Iron Man. Amelia stood proudly, readied in a position with fire sparking flames at her hands, ice starting to freeze the ground on her feet.
More cries erupted throughout the city, signaling to enter the rest of the Leviathans through the portal. Under Loki's order.
The team looks up as more of them enter, bringing in more of the Chitauri army. More fly in, definitely way out of their fucking element. Exceedingly astonishing the team, "guys..." Amelia catches their attention.
"Call it, Cap," Iron Man insists.
"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment." He starts commanding in his captain tone. He points to Clint, "Barton, I want you one that roof, eyes on everything." Then at Tony's Iron Man, "Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it back to ash."
Clint turns to Tony for some assistance, "wanna give me a lift?"
"Right," Tony then holds on to Clint, "better clench up, Legolas." Iron Man then lifts Hawkeye up to a building to fulfill the Captain's instructions.
Then Steve turns to Thor, "Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Thor nods as he flies up with Mjolnir towards a building to conduct lightning and like Steve said, light the bastards up.
After that, Steve turns to Amelia, "Amelia, gather up and evacuate anymore civilians to more of a secure areas you can teleport to, like the helicarrier. And stay safe." Amelia smiles at his small reminder, "'kay, Captain." She once more freeze the hidden wound unnoticeably once again. Doing a small salute, she vanished, the violet mist appearing before their eyes.
To Natasha, he just simply orders, "you and me, we stay here on the ground. We keep the fighting here." He almost turns away, but the fact of a green raging monster awaiting for his instructions didn't slip his mind. "And hulk!" Pointing with the most determination, he commands ever so simply, "smash."
The incredible Hulk's face lit up, especially when he smiles the most magnificent grin. He leaps, soaring up high to the nearest building, beginning to, well, smash everything in his way.
What everyone kept in their mind though besides the Captain's instructions is that the Battle of New York had just begun.
