Gojo sat cross legged on the floor with the twins Mimiko and Nanako. They were playing with dolls and tea sets and Gojo joined in. He had on a pink tutu and a toy, silver gem tiara pushed into his hair.
The twins giggled at how cute he looked. He lifted a finger to his lips hushing them. "Shhh, your papa doesn't know I am here." He said, placing a finger to his lips. Imitating him, they placed a finger on their lips and made a hush sound also in agreement.

Gojo Satoru had portalled into the house and found the girls playing with tea sets. "Oooh fun!" He thought, inviting himself to their game.

Suguru had been busy making dinner and juggling a phone call from a client and hadn't noticed his best friend portal and materialize in his passageway.

Gojo held a pink plastic teacup with his pinky sticking out. "More tea please, Princess Mimi." He said in a mock haughty voice, making them squeal and giggle. Mimiko poured more 'tea' in his cup and Gojo pretended to take a sip.

"Ahhh that's just lovely." He said in a squeaky, gruff voice.

The twins laughed, at how funny he sounded. Clapping their hands over their mouths. Gojo looked around, tummy grumbling. "Gimme a minute okay. Be back in two minutes." He said, reassuring them. He disappeared in a flash, portalling outside of a convenience store that was a block away.

Walking in unbothered his long legs strided confidently through the isles and on, to the till, a basket of chocolates, cookies and other junk in tow. The assistant at the till looked at him with raised eyebrows but silently and quickly checked him out.

"Thanks." Gojo said, slinging the plastic bag over his shoulder walking out cooly.

A few women pointed and giggled. Looking at him funny.

Gojo stepped out of the shop and portalled back into the twins room. "Heya! I am back! Let's eat these before they melt." He said, pulling out ice-cream sandwiches and placing them on the toy tea tray.

"I have cookies and cream and plain vannila wafer with caramel ice cream." He said pointing to the four different packets of the ice-cream sandwiches.

The girls jumped around excitedly, "Cookies and cream!" They exclaimed, opening their treat and munching happily. Gojo grinned, opening his own ice-cream, biting into the wafer with a crunch. They polished of the ice-creams, sharing the fourth one equally.

"So if I spilt it three ways, everyone gets?"

"One third of it?" Mimiko asked.

"Yes! That's right. Atta girl!" He exclaimed high-fiving her.

He pulled out a package of cookies from the bag and three bottles of milk-shake.
"Okay so they only had strawberry milk." He said peering inside the packet.

He handed out the bottles, guiding them with how to place the straw inside without spilling.

Ripping open the package of cookies, he placed it infront of them, smiling at them secretively. "Don't tell your dad, he'll kill me." He whispered.

"They're twelve cookies in total, so if I take one-"

"It'll be one-twelfth!" Nanko exclaimed happily.

"That's my girl!" He said excitedly.

"It'll be four each if we split it equally right Gojo-san?" Mimiko asked.

"Aha, absolutely correct Mimi." Gojo smiled indulgently.

He distributed the cookies and the three of them chomped happily, slurping on strawberry milk between bites.
"This is so much fun!" Nanako exclaimed, giggling and blushing behind her hand.

Mimiko hushed her sister, "Geto-sama will hear us. We were supposed to be doing homework." She said.

Gojo eyed the two with a frown, "And you two were playing instead of doing homework. Why? You girls usually love school." He asked concerned.

"We needed Geto-sama's help and he's busy, so we thought to play in the mean time." Nanako explained, eyes cast down.

"Let me see, maybe I can help." Gojo said curiously.

Mimiko got and brought him their books. Handing it to him.

"Hmm.... Family tree huh, I see why you needed his help. When is this due?" He asked looking up at them.

"This Friday." Mimiko said softly.

"Okay, let's get your other homework done and when papa's done with din-din we can all work on the family tree." Gojo said.

Geto ended the call sighing tiredly. He moved to stir the contents in the pot and poured some on a saucer to taste it when the door rang. Rushing to answer it he found Akari smiling at him. She hugged him, pecking his cheeks.

"Hey my handsome man." She greeted.
"Beautiful soul mate." He quipped.

She blushed, cheeks turning pink, "I got the rice you needed." She said leaving the convenience store packet down on the counter.

She rounded the counter and sipped from the saucer he had left. Tasting the soup, Akari smacked her lips, drawing attention to them.

Suguru licked his lips, eyeing her plump red ones that sat pouty and inviting.
He watched how she effortlessly took over his kitchen, tasting the soup and tending to the other foods that simmered on the stove. "Salt okay?" He asked, smiling softly.

"Aha, it's perfect. How was your day?" She asked him.

"It was fine, it dragged a bit, then I got busy toward the end. How about you love?"

"Pretty okay. Ordinary, but ordinary is a blessing to people like us." She replied, smiling at him broadly.

"Hunny tell me, have you seen Satoru?" She asked conversationally after a beat.

Geto cocked his head, staring at her with question, "Ahh no, why?" He asked folding his hands.

Shrugging she said, "Well he was supposed to be at this old construction site on a mission to exorse this grade 1 curse and he never showed. He sent Nanami instead. And then I found him in the convenience store walking around in a pink tutu and silver tiara. Is he okay?"

Geto grimaced, "What?" He asked confused.

"I know, he attracted a lot of attention, but then when doesn't he? He rushed in and out and so he didn't see me. He looked around... stealthily? I dunno." She said, shaking it off.

Geto paused, body stilling. He and Akari exchanged a look, realization hitting them together. He made a beeline straight for the twins room.
Akari followed suit after switching the stove off.

Gojo was mid sentence explaining the food chain to the kids when the door banged open.
Geto stood with his eyebrows raised as he took in the scene. Spying the ice-cream wrappers and empty bottles of milk-shake and cookie crumbs, he frowned crossly, glaring at Satoru.

The room fell silent, anticipation of Suguru's reaction filled the room, even Akari held her breath.

"It's really beautiful, seeing your expressions change so swiftly. Really, gorgeous." Satoru said breaking the silence.

Geto looked at Satoru with question, "How long have you been here Satoru?" He asked, hands folded casually, a skeptical brow raised in question.

Gojo looked around guiltily, scratching the back of his head.

"What are you kids getting up to? You know not to eat junk before dinner, it'll spoil your appetite." Geto said calmly trying to find out whats going on, before exploding.
Geto scanned the room, spying the homework on their desk.
"You didn't!" Geto suddenly exclaimed, wide eyed loosing his patience.

Holding the answer books, up he looked at Satoru, "What is this?" He asked in horror.

"Ahh the kids homework?" Satoru said shrugging.

"No it's not! It's got your ugly, infernal handwriting on it! You did their homework for them!?" He said outraged.
"Look at this! You drew and coloured for them too!" He said horrified.

"No I didn't, t-they colored." Gojo lied.

"I know my kids, Mimiko and Nanako can draw just fine. This isn't theirs. This dog looks all crooked and the tail looks like a leaf." He quipped staring at the homework with criticism.

"Heyy! That's a horse! It was a food chain showing grass, horse, lion!" Gojo exclaimed.

"Ohh a lion... that's what that orange splatter is..." Akari whispered to herself over Geto's shoulder.

"That sentence just proved you did their homework Satoru." Geto said crossly.

"Let's take this outside. Mimiko, Nanako, my sweeties could you please help clean up your room. Dinner will be ready soon." Akari spoke, interjecting between the two friends.

The twins nodded, large eyes shining with regret. Satoru stood up, walking out with a serious expression, forgetting he still wore his tutu and tiara. Akari bit her lip trying not to laugh, for Geto's sake.

Closing the door behind him, Geto rained down on Satoru now mad.
"Why did you give them sugar? You know I don't feed them unnecessary sugar and at night! Ice-cream and cookies and milk-shake!? What's wrong with you!?! And you did their homework!? Satoru, how are they going to learn if you cheat for them? And what happened to your mission and more specifically, didn't you have to pick up Megumi!?" Geto said, huffing out.

Akari inconspicuously went into the twins room, dissapearing from the scene.

Satoru sighed, placing his hands on his hips, "First of all, milk is good for them. And I took Megumi home before I got here. You were busy and I found the kids playing instead of doing homework-"

"So you joined them and gave them sweets instead of coming to get me or explaining the homework?" Geto frowned, knowing his friend too well.

"Hey, do you know how long ago lunch was!? Anyway, the kids needed your help with something so I kept them company and helped with their homework. They knew the answers I just wrote their answers for them. I miss school..." He said pouting sadly and twiddling his fingers.

Geto watched his friend silently, breaking into a chuckle all of a sudden.
"You look bloody ridiculous in that, take it off."

Satoru looked down, "Oh." He said shrugging out of the tutu, forgetting about the tiara. Geto smirked, ignoring it too.

"I called Nami baby, since he needs experience and he can keep the money that comes as payment." Gojo said fairly.

"I mean we're all out of school now and he needs to reinforce his numbers, in terms of missions." Gojo continued.

Geto leaned against the wall, no longer upset. He smiled softly, handsome face full with pride for his friend. "Can you go get Megumi so we can all eat together today?" Geto asked with a smile.

"Sure thing! Oh before I forget, I came here to ask you if you wanted to set a play date up tomorrow?" Gojo asked.

"Sure, how about the park?" Geto suggested.

"Fantastic, Tsumiki is on break and I thought the four of them would have fun." Gojo said beaming at Suguru.
He portalled and left the room.

Geto sighed, shaking his head at Satoru's antics. He moved to set the table, adding one more for Tsumiki. He ended up buying a bigger dinner table with matching chairs, seeing as they had more get together at his place than he expected.

"What the hell are you wearing?" Megumi asked staring disgustedly at Gojo.

Gojo blinked at his ward, "Wha? Listen, we going to eat at uncle Geto's. Get ready." He said, turning to find Tsumiki.

"You look so pretty." She said chuckling when she saw Satoru.
Satoru frowned and turned to look into her mirror, "Oh, why thank you!" He said in the same croaky, high-pitched voice he used earlier.

Sliding it out of his hair and placing it on her head, he said, "Here, this is for the real princess."

Fifteen minutes later, holding their hands, he portalled into Geto's house, screaming "We're here!!!"

He stopped short and hastily covered the kids eyes, when he walked in on Geto making out with Akari in the lounge.
Suguru quickly pushed off, straightening his clothes. Akari hid her face in the pillows.

"This is why you don't portal into other peoples' houses like that. Try outside their door and then knock." Geto said disgruntled.

Gojo grinned sheepishly, apologising and nervously glancing at the kids. Akari got up and introduced herself to Tsumiki. "I am Akari, Geto's girlfriend. Nice to meet you."
Akari ruffled Megumi's hair, "Good to see you again Megumi." She smiled warmly, making the seven year old blush.

The twins came out of their rooms, excited to see Megumi, they jumped and ran toward him, meeting Tsumiki for the first time, they bowed low, greeting her properly. Geto smiled proudly, happy to see them practice good manners and behaviour.

"Let's eat, we can watch a movie after that." Geto said, not wanting the food to go cold. He had cooked a simple miso soup, pan-fried salmon, rice and made omelet rolls to the side, adding variety. Geto by now, had a habit if cooking extra seeing as his friends often came over.

"I know this is usually a breakfast menu, but I feel like it's perfect for tonight, not too heavy or too light." Geto explained.

"Food is food Suguru. As long as they get their vitamins, it's all good. We can't be picky and we should always he greatful for food we have. So don't stress." Gojo replied dismissing him with a wave of his hand.

"Awww Satoru is maturing so well. Look at him be so responsible." Akari thought.

"Says the guy that brought home ice-cream sandwiches and mangoes for dinner the other night." Megumi commented sarcastically.

"Nevermind, spoke to soon..."

"It was a craving, I was willing to cook!"
At that, Tsumiki glanced at her guardian with wariness. "Most people call what you do burning, not cooking." Megumi said offhandedly, helping himself to an omelet roll.

Geto had helped spoon soup into the twins bowels, passing them their soup.
Akari helped Megumi spoon rice into his bowl, which left a red cheeked Megumi fumbling a shy thanks.

The two families ate together, making small talk about their day. Dinner passed through peacefully, everyone filled to the brim and stuffed.

After dinner, the kids sat huddled together under a chunky blanket, as Akari scrolled through the list of movies on the TV, the three girls pointed to Disney's Frozen.

They watched as the movie built up to the climax. Meguumi had fallen asleep by then, tired from school and practicing his Jujutsu.

Tsumiki, Mimiko and Nanako sang along to the songs and cheered at the fun parts. By the end credits, the twins were alseep and Tsumiki's eyes were droopy.

Gojo picked up Megumi and held him over his shoulder and took Tsumiki's hand in his. "I should get going. See you tomorrow." He whispered, to Geto and Akari, nodding at them in greeting.

He portalled home, leaving Geto alone with Akari and the twins. Geto and Akari to one twin each and put them to bed, tucking them in for the night.

Placing a kiss in their forehead, Geto moved go their table to look at their homework. He read their work and checked for any teachers comments. He spied their project and read it out loud, "Family tree..."

Suguru exchanged a glance with Akari who smiled at him.
Turning she left the room and walked into the kitchen, helping him do the dishes.

Getos stomach sank, he thought of their parents who were murdered and wondered how of them do they remember. "Do they miss their parents? Am I enough?" He wondered.

After a few minutes of humming while washing up the dishes, Akari felt a pair of strong muscular hands wrap around her waist.
Geto rested his forehead on her shoulder, "What am I going to do. A family tree?" He said, a little heartsore.

"We have it. It'll be easy, we just need to go to the craft store to get the fun art supplies to make it pretty." She answered simply, unbothered with what stressed him out.

Geto pushed away, frowning at her, "Kari, this is serious." He said sternly.

Halting she turned to look at him, "O know. Which is why they need to go all out. You'll see tomorrow hunny,  I mean well." Was all she said.

Geto inhaled sharply, staring at her with a deep frown. "Kari their parents. Do you not remember? What if they are hurting inside."

She turned around and simply replied, "Geto, I think you're hurting more. The kids are fine, this is such a simple thing."

The next day Geto and his twin daughters made their way over to the park where Gojo waited with Megumi and Tsumiki. He dressed casually in sweatpants and a loose T-shirt, dark shades pushed up to cover his eye's.

Geto was dressed similarly, with his reading glasses pushed up into his hair to sit on his head.

Megumi took turns, pushing Mimiko and Nanako on the swings, while Tsumiki and the other twin played on the seesaw.

Geto and Gojo watched them play. Gojo sat on a park bench, audibly sipping strawberry milkshake hard through a straw. Geto narrowed his eyes at his annoying friend. "Want some?" Gojo asked innocently, holding the jumbo cup out to Suguru.

"No thanks." He replied irritated at the sound.
Geto stood behind Gojo watching the kids with his hands folded, a scowl dawning his forehead.

"What's wrong?" Gojo asked, knowingly. Without having to turn to look at his friend he knew something was up.

Geto sighed heavily, watching the kids play. Tsumiki, Mimiko and Nanako were all playing on the slide while Megumi was on the monkey bars with other boys.

"Kari didn't take what I had to say seriously enough yesterday." Suguru said after a beat.

Gojo stopped slurping on his milkshake and turned to look at his friend.
"What happened?" He asked concerned.

"She was too relaxed and just brushed what I had to say off with a 'you'll see today' line. I mean, what am I going to do for their homework? What family tree do they have?" He exclaimed, emotions welling up and making his voice a notch higher and louder.

Gojo watched his friend quietly, thinking about what he said. "Look." He suddenly said pointing to Mimiko and Nanako at the play ground.

There stood Akari, radiant and glowing, in a summer dress with her hair casually let down, loose curls tosssled and carelessly yet beautifully set.

She crouched down, helping the twins and Tsumiki make a sand- castle in the sandbox. She laughed and smiled, giving  all three of them equal attention.

"Ahhh, I'd marry her if I were you." Satoru said, watching them longingly.
A bitter bout of jealousy flared in Getos chest, making his stomach twist and tongue thicken.

Possession and anger whirled inside him and he glared at his best friend.
"Stop eyeing her creep! We had a misunderstanding, but she's still mine! Don't look at my woman. Ever." He said, getting ready to summon a curse and set it on Gojo.

The white haired man chuckled. He sat unbothered, with his legs crossed on the bench.

"I just gave you some advice you dolt. Take it and make nice with Akari,  who by the way is like my little sister."
Gojo pulled out his phone after that and snapped some photos of Akari, and the kids.

"What are you doing!?" Geto exclaimed skeptically, to which Gojo got up and ran towards Akari. He turned his camera and snapped shots of him with her and the girls. Gojo pulled Megumi in and motioned for Geto to join in.

Geto stood irritable, bubbling and fuming at the bench, glaring at them when, Mimiko and Nanako shouted through cupped hands, "Geto-sama, come over here!!!".

Cooling down a bit he walked over and stood behind them, holding them possesively by the shoulders and posing
Gojo snapped the group image, making everyone say 'Mochi'.

Geto grumbled a soft greeting to Akari, still upset from the night before. Akari sensing his vibe, decided to give him his space for now.

Herding all the kids to an ice-cream van, picking out different treats for everyone, Satoru bought his friend some time to talk to Akari. But the idiot walked away leaving her to walk up to the group.

"What will Geto-sama like?" Nanako asked peering at the menu.
"Tch! One cup of green bitter bean pulp for him!" Gojo commented under his breath.

Gojo prattled his order off, which was longer than needed, " Here I wrote it down since it's so long. And for Suguru... ahhh..." Satoru puzzled what to get the angry jealous Suguru.

"A plain vanilla cone with a flake." Akari said behind them, smiling politely at the ice-cream vendor.

The kids ran back to play, leaving Akari to wait alone. Gojo chatted with vendor, talking about the flavours and combinations.

"So which one is your kid?" She heard a deep voice come from behind her. Turning she saw a tall lean man, with salt and pepper hair despite his young face. He looked to be in his mid thirties and dressed in a leather jacket and dark skinny denims with combat boots. A white T-shirt strained over his chest.

Akari blinked, taking a step back from him. "That's mine." He said, continuing to speak. He pointed to a boy that looked around seven, who played with Megumi.

"Lost my wife last year-" He began when a gust of wind knocked him back. Geto stood clutching Akari possesively, glaring at the man.

"Unless you don't want to loose some fucking teeth this year and your fucking manhood stay away from my woman shithead!" Geto threatened in a deep voice turning to leave with Akari, whom he held possesively, internally pleased with himself.

Gojo rounded the kids up and handed their ice-creams out, pulling a dissapearing act from the park. Before a commotion could properly begin. Pressing Akari and Geto's ice-creams into their hands he said, "See you at home."

The kids huddled around him and he portalled everyone to his own apartment. Reaching there, he let them eat their food, while he slumped on the sofa. "Wooohh that drained me. Good thing I have so much ice-cream right now." He said digging in.

Akari and Geto walked in akward silence, lapping at their frozen treat. Geto threw his balled up paper napkin into the bin and and stopped to look at Akari who smiled softly at him.
"Thanks for that." She said softly.

He grunted, still unable to speak too much. He felt her warm palm slip into his as they walked back to his apartment. Silently they climbed the steps. Geto fished his key out of his pocket when he heard a sweet "Hey there, no kids today?" From behind him.

Akari turned with Geto to see his new neighbour, a final year college student smile flirtily at him.

He swung the door open, walking in and ignoring her. Tossing his keys on the counter, he spun around looking for Akari. He walked back to the door peeking outside when he saw her cage the student against a wall.

"Respect the man. He's a father, so stop trying to snoop near my man you fucking slut! If I see you near him again, the police will never be able to confirm your autopsy and cause of death."  She ground out viciously.

Geto smirked, shocked at what he saw. He enjoyed the sight too much, which actually improved his mood.

He crept back inside, trying to hide his smile.

Akari shut the door behind her too roughly. She sat down crossly at the lounge, pouting angrily. "How often does she come near you?" She asked abruptly, glaring at him.

Geto shook his head, "Today was the first time she ever tried speaking to me. She usually has two other males accompaning her." He replied.
Akari snorted unlady like and crossed her arms.

"I kinda like that vicious side of you. I've never seen it before. So sexy." He said sitting down next to her and petting her head affectionately. Suguru's mood had improved considerably, but Akari hissed at him and tried to bite his hand that petted her.

Suddenly she jumped onto his lap and clung on, resting her head on his chest, "Mine." She ground out, sinking her nails into his biceps.

"Okay Kari, okay girl. I am only yours."
He said placcatingly.

"I need to leave some ownership marks as proof." She said softly, leaning in to kiss him.

Twenty mintues later, Geto and Akari were interrupted by the sound of his cellphone going off. Akari still stuck to him, shifted a smidgen so that he could answer.
"Yeah, what's up?" He answered breathily.

"Can we come home noooowww?" Gojo whined in a childlike voice on the other end.

"Yeah, please. Or I'll get eate-" Akari cut the call, glaring at Suguru.

Gojo stood once again blocking the twins eyes, only this time, Geto stood at the door to greet them. He smiled sheepishly, as Gojo took in all the red marks scattered over his neck and the tops of his chest.

He led the twins in, sending them to their room. Akari helped them to the bathroom, "Bathtime babies. Let's clean up." She said, holding their towels and opening the bathroom door for them.

Catching Gojo's eye she saw him mouth the word 'Carnivore' at her before she closed the door.

"Guess you guys are sorted out..." Satoru said awkwardly, scratching his head.
"Where are your kids?" Geto asked changing the topic and ignoring the comment.
"Nap time for them." Satoru answered.

An hour later, Akari and the twins sat in their room, speaking in hushed tones, doing some sort of coloring.

Gojo and Geto stood outside on his balcony, staring out at the sky. They spoke about work and just simply hung out.

They heard little shouts and giggles. Turning to head inside, the two friends found Akari and the twins lay a large A3 cardboard page on the kitchen table. It read:

ꜰᴀᴍɪʟʏ ᴛʀᴇᴇ

ꜰᴀᴛʜᴇʀ/ɢᴜᴀʀᴅɪᴀɴ: ɢᴇᴛᴏ ꜱᴜɢᴜʀᴜ

ᴍᴏᴛʜᴇʀ/ɢᴜᴀʀᴅɪᴀɴ: ᴀᴋᴀʀɪ ᴋᴀɴᴢᴀᴋɪ

ᴜɴᴄʟᴇ: ɢᴏᴊᴏ ꜱᴀᴛᴏʀᴜ, ɴᴀɴᴀᴍɪ ᴋᴇɴᴛᴏ, ʜᴀɪʙᴀʀᴀ ʏᴜ.

ᴀᴜɴᴛ: ɪᴇɪʀɪ ꜱʜᴏᴋᴏ.

ᴄᴏᴜꜱɪɴꜱ: ᴍᴇɢᴜᴍɪ, ᴛꜱᴜᴍɪᴋɪ.

A pretty tree was drawn with their names and relations written on the branches.
"Now all we need is to stick photos under the names!" Akari said brightly.

"Yeah, we can print out some that we took today." Gojo said, scrolling through the images on his phone.

Geto took the page in and smiled warmly. She once again so effortlessly, solved something he couldn't see a way out of.

Gojo studied the poster, a hand on his chin, "Hmmm, should have added Nanami to grandparents..." he said under his breath.

"This is beautiful. You girls did so well." Geto praised.
"Aha. Akari-san said that no family is perfect and everyone's is different." Mimiko said, excitedly.

Geto stilled, he glanced at her, a silent apology and thank you shining in his eyes.
"So that's what she meant."

"We are their family Suguru, never forget that." She said smiling kindly at him while her eyes had a hardness to it, driving her point through.

"We have the best parents ever!" Nanko exclaimed, "Our family is wonderful." She said, enunciating the word 'wonderful' slowly.

Satoru clapped Geto on the shoulder, as if to say, 'see, everything is fine.'
"Gotta go. Kids will be up soon." He said waving at them and materializing out of sight.

That Friday, the twins sat coloring in their book after school, waiting to show Geto their poster after being marked.
It had a gold star and a red tick with a comment from their teacher saying: 𝐵𝑒𝒶𝓊𝓉𝒾𝒻𝓊𝓁 𝒻𝒶𝓂𝒾𝓁𝓎 𝓉𝓇𝑒𝑒, 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝒿𝑜𝒷.

Geto smiled when he saw it, hugging Mimiko and Nanako tight. "Are you liking school so far?" He asked, checking in on them.

"Yes!" They chorused, smiling at him.

"We even made a new friend today!"
Nanako exclaimed, catching his attention. "Oh yeah? What's her name?"
He asked giving them his undivided attention.

"His name is Junya Kenjiro." Mimiko said, ignorant to Geto's terrified expression.

"It's a boy?" He asked shocked.

"Yeah." They replied innocently.

His mind reeled and panic settled in. Getting up to answer the door, he walked there all the while, fixating on the fact that his daugthers were friends with a boy.
"Hiii." Akari greeted, entering the house.

Geto was quiet for a while before answering, still a little shell-shocked, "It's a boy." He said wide eyed.
