Serena's POV

I was getting off the bus and walking into my street to get home. Ash wanted to drive me, but I didn't want Miette to see him, so I told him I would be just fine.

This situation is really strange to be honest.

I just met him, and feel like I've known him for years. I've told myself so often I should be more careful around him, around new people in general, but once he's near, I can't do anything but just talk to him and be close. To be honest, I always had problems with friends. I know, shock.

It wasn't that I was afraid of talking with people, or being socially afraid in general. I just picked bitchy people to be my friends. A few didn't like me, but pretended to, others were just people I couldn't identify with, but my biggest problem was, that I gave people too much power over me. I forgave too fast and too often. I didn't know apologies lost their value, the more you apologized. Apology was apology.

I had a lot of friends, but they always turned out to be shitty, but I didn't care, because I really wanted friends and comfort after moving here. I mean, I lost my family, my home, actually my complete life, and all I needed was comfort. How could you blame me? I'm kidding, I definitely blame myself. There are enough reasons to blame myself.

I mean, yeah, people can be assholes, but I should have been prepared for that. I should have told them to just piss off and leave, but no, I was so desperately in need for comfort, I didn't even notice how much I broke.

At least I have May and Dawn. I know I don't show it, but I'm really thankful to have them. I know they're are pretty... special, but somehow, sometimes, I see myself in them. Maybe it's the same with Ash?

———Next Day/School———
Cafeteria (11: 19pm):

Lunch break just started and I was casually sitting at the table with May and Dawn. "Serenaaaaaa???" Dawn asked in a childishly kind of way. I mean, she was childish. "Freeench homewooork!" she exclaimed making me role my eyes. "Dawn, I tutored you so many times..."

"But it's sooo haaaaard!" She answered and May couldn't help it, but giggle. I took her french handout, analyzing it. "Dawn, I taught you this two weeks ago. That's seriously just revision." I told her, but she just responded with a frustrated sigh. "I'm gonna do your homework one last time, but that'll be it, okay?"

I finished the handout in under two minutes and handed it back to her, just before I suddenly sensed someone sitting next to me.

"Hey princess. Hello ladies."

I looked to my right to see Ash sitting next to me. "Oh, hey." I greeted him back and looked back to May and Dawn, who greeted him back with two casual 'hi's just after me. People who didn't know this duo would have thought they're acting chill right now, but I could see their girly-gossip shine in their eyes rising again.

"Just wanted to thank you for the homework. Everything was correct! Mr. Charmander first didn't even believe that that was my handout!"

"Well, it actually wasn't." I said turning back to him with my head.

"But he doesn't need to know that." he said coming a tiny bit closer and also making me giggle at his comment and turn my view back to May and Dawn whose gossip-shine-eye levels have already risen to 100%.

"Hold up! Serena! You casually do his homework, but I always have to convince you to do mine!?" Dawn asked.

"Well, she loves me more. What can I say?" Ash commented joking- and arrogantly, while fiddling with the fabric of his jacket. When he put his hands down again, his left palm landed exactly on my right thigh, making me freeze in my tracks while his touch sent cold and hot shivers through the nerves and veins of my body.

"How dare you just saying such a thing! Dawn, hold my earrings!" May said, taking her earrings of making everyone laugh, except for me. It definitely was funny and I would have laughed, but this hand on my thigh slowly starting to rub, paralyzing me.
P-a-r-a-l-y-z-i-n-g.

His palm started to do circular motions now, while his thumb did extra motions. My body was a cage of butterflies. I felt like I was about to die. Luckily, May and Dawn couldn't see what he was doing under the table, because if they would, this would gonna be a long week. In the corners of my eye, I could sometimes see him smirk at me, making me shiver even more. While the three of them just talked about one or another thing, all I could do was concentrate hardly on not making any weird movements or noises.

"Serena! Choose! Hot chicks or lukewarm dude?" Dawn said, but I couldn't concentrate on anything. I really didn't want to be the person to just ask 'What?' for no reason, but I was so stunned be his warm palm, I forgot what we were talking about.

"Us, you're best friends, or him, the flow nose?" Dawn asked again making May and giggle and Dawn with her, but I didn't get why this was so funny. "Oh, come on! Just one fucking time!" Ash exclaimed, but I still didn't know what they were talking about. Probably some inside joke. "Sooo?" Dawn asked again.

'Errmm' and 'uuuh' sounds, we're the only noises I could do right know. "Serena, please! We've been friend for so long!" Dawn said, begging.

"Sere." Ash started, catching my full attention, also including me looking back in his face. "I know we just met, but I feel like I've known you forever. You can't tell me you don't feel the same, or do you?" he said, making me even more nervous, but luckily, the bell rang before I could give an answer. "Shit!" I heard all three of them curse. May and Dawn put their school stuff back in their bags, being distracted for a few seconds, what gave Ash the perfect time to come closer and whisper: "You're so soft, damn. Next time, princess." in my ear, before immediately leaving again. His words drowning in his deep voice, sent a new strong wave of cold and hot shivers through my entire, and every corner of my body. He is gonna be the death of me.

After he left, May and Dawn turned their attention back to me. "Uhm, Serena?" Dawn asked. "Huh? Uh-y-yeah?"

"Your stuff." she said pointing on my side of the table, covered in handouts, books and pens.
"Oh, oops." I said while packing my stuff as fast as I could.

This guy makes me loose my senses, it's ridiculous.

DUDEEEE! Hi, first of all. I feel like I'm apologizing every chapter for uploading too late, but sorry, again. Lmao. I am the wooorst uploader ever, but I swear I'm never inactive writing. Over the last weeks school hit me like a train and I suddenly had sooooo much to do and everything came out of the blue and ughhhhh I was just stressed out.
