Chapter 1 - Arrival
Serena's POV
Serena's room (06:00 am):
I wish I could've been woken up, by some soft, beautiful sun raises falling into my room through the glass of my window, but instead, I fell out of my bed, because the horrible sound of my alarm clock, ringing every morning at 06:00am scared the heck out of me and OUCH, my butt hurts. I stood up from the floor, made the alarm shut and got into the bathroom, took a quick shower and brushed my teeth. After that, I changed into my normal clothes.
The next thing I had to do, was to prepare breakfast for my aunt Palermo and my cousin Miette. They usually wake up at 07:00am, so I needed to hurry up a bit. I ran to the kitchen, prepared some eggs with bacon, toast and orange juice and put everything on the table. I'm never really hungry in the morning, so I never have breakfast., I wouldn't be allowed to eat with Miette and Palermo anyway.
After breakfast was prepared for the two, I realized it was already 06:55 am and I was gonna be late for school if I wouldn't leave now, so I ran to the back door, left the house quietly and got on my bike to ride to school. I would have used the front door, if I was allowed to. There is a lot for me to complain about. Me not being able to sleep another hour, me having to ride to school by bike, me not being dropped off like Miette, me not being picked up like Miette, but after those two gave me a roof go live under, who am I to complain?

First period (08:00 am):
History with Mr.Sycamore
When I arrived at school the clock ticked 07:55am and Dawn and May were already waiting for me in the classroom. "Serena! You alright?" Dawn asked and hugged me when I sat down next to her. "They were sleeping till I left, so I'm good, I guess." I answered, referring to Miette and Palermo. "Lucky."
"Did you hear about Gary and Lillie?!" Dawn changed the topic, her eyes widened in excitement.
When Dawn is about to gossip, you know it. She knows everything, about everyone. May on the other hand, isn't quite as social as Dawn, actually pretty cold.
"Well, no, but I heard Miette talking on her phone with Lillie yesterday. She was pretty upset about Gary, I don't know." I explained. Dawn was jumpy and seemed very excited to share some news, almost puppy like.
"Gary cheated on her!" Dawn spoke loudly, resulting in me immediately telling her to quiet down a bit, as if it's second nature, which, in fact, it is. "What?" May asked with a confused expression. "Okay so, Shauna told Miette that Lilly told her that Gary left Lilly on Miette's Party and didn't come back for like an hou-!"
"Dawn, you seem excited, anything you want to share with the class?" Mister Sycamore interrupted as he finally entered the classroom.
"N-No sir."

Lunch break
"You won't believe what I just saw." Dawn said as sat down and took out her lunch.
"Dawn, don't you think you should, you know, mind your own business?" May started, leaving Dawn offended. "I'm not trying to be mean, but like, what's up with Drew? Didn't you both exchange numbers? I swear I only mean good, but get a life." May said, before suddenly a big crowd started to run out of the cafeteria in a rush.
"What up with them?" I asked confused. "Let's find out!" Dawn said and started running with the crowd. May and I were just walking fast, being the lazy sapiens we were. We walked all the way to the hallway, just to see a big crowd of students salad surrounding something we couldn't see. They were too many.
"Where did Dawn go?" I yelled at May, trying to talk over the crowd. "I don't know, but she'll probably be back in a minute, I guess?" she yelled back. All of the sudden, Dawn came back, her pupils almost taking over her iris.
"He's back!" she screamed, while my head started feeling like exploding. "Who?" May screamed back, asking. "He!"
May's pair of eyes became just as wide as Dawn's.
"Guys, what are you talking abo-?" I asked, but cut myself off, as they disappeared in the crowd. I would've followed them, but I really didn't want to end like Mufasa in The Lion King, so I just went back to the cafeteria. As I entered, I noticed we all left our backpacks, so I decided to take them all with me to next class.
I looked at my phone to check the time. 09:46am. Next period started at 09:50am, so I needed to hurry up, again. I put my bag on my back and carried the other ones by hugging them to my chest. I walked out as fast as I could, walked down the hallway, passed all the students and tried not to bump into anyone. While walking, I checked the time again. 09:49am.
As I put it back in my skirt-pocket I ended up bumping into someone after all, lost my balance and fell on the ground, again. When I looked up, to see who I just bumped into, I saw I raven-haired boy, looking at his shoulder to check if it was okay, as if I just shot him. "Damn girl, watch wher-" he said, but then stopped, as he looked down at me. His angry expression turned into something unreadable, as he looked into my eyes. His hazel eyes were really gorgeous, but I couldn't think about that right now.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you." I apologized, while picking up May's and Dawn's bags. "Okay, if you say so." he said, smiling at me, while I stood up. "Uh.." I started, waiting for an apology. Wasn't that a polite thing to do? After some seconds, he got weirded out by me staring at him. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm just, you know, waiting." I responded and he raised his eyebrow on confusion. "For?" he asked and I narrowed my eyes at him. "I mean, after all we bumped into each other." I stated, his confused expression remaining on his face. "Are you implying that you want me to apologize?" he asked. I nodded. Out of the blue, he started laughing. What was so funny?
"You're so cute! I'll let this one slip." he chuckled, coming back to breath. "Asshole." I mumbled under my breath and he raised an eyebrow at me, not confused this time, but shocked. "Did you just call me an asshole?" he asked and I shamelessly nodded. "Yep. Want me to spell it for you? A-S-S-H-O-" I was about to continue, when he suddenly grabbed my face with one hand. "What is wrong with you?" he asked and I scoffed, slapping his hand away. "Fuck this." I mumbled to myself, a little to loud, and ran to class with both bags in my arms.

Second period (09:50 am) :
English with Miss Juniper
"Thanks for the bags!" Dawn thanked me and I just smiled at her and May, while I sat down next to them, as quiet as possible, not trying go disturb Miss Junipers lesson, still thinking about this douchebag. Who does he think he is? Guys like him are so annoy-
"Serena? You alive?" May asked while snipping her fingers in front of my face. "Huh, what?" I asked. "You fine hun? You're spacing out." May lightly slapped my cheek as in to bring me back to reality.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. There was some rude ass guy in the hallway and-"
"Dawn, hold my earrings, where is this guy?!" May asked and I giggled at her. "May, sshh." I calmed her down and her wrath level sank from 100 back to 10
"By the way, what was that thing in the hallway about?" I asked and their eyes, even May's, where shining, like Dawn's eyes usually shine when she's about to tell us something. God, stand by me. "He came back!" Dawn almost squeaked shaking her hands like a five-year-old. Luckily, Miss Juniper was writing something on the board, so she didn't notice us talking. "Who?" I asked confused. "She wasn't here two years ago. You need to explain." May reminded Dawn.
"Oh right, okay look. Ash came back!" Dawn exclaimed again, but I just raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Dawn, she doesn't kno- whatever. Ash is a legend. He was captain of the basketball team, before he was off to the Kanto region for two years, because of some exchange program, and came back today. He's the first Captain to ever lead the team to win 12 games in a row!" May explained. "So, thats why everyone acted like the school was on fire?" I asked and they both nodded in response again. What a weird day.
Third period (11:50 am) :
Literature with Miss Diantha
Miss Diantha, our literature teacher, entered the classroom, breathing heavily, probably because she was rushing over to the class due to her being late. I love literature. I guess it's my favorite subject. The only thing that kinda sucks, is that May and Dawn sit in the front row, next to the windows, while I sit in the back, next to the wall, pretty much alone with a lot of space all to myself. "Good morning class! Excuse my delay please, but the printer wasn't working. I hope you brought your poems you were supposed to write as your homewo-" Miss Diantha said, as she got cut off by a raven-haired boy entering the classroom. He's probably just too late.
Wait a minute... the raven-haired boy! The dude from the hallway! He is also in Miss Diantha's class? How come I never noticed him? "Sorry, I'm late. I'm still getting used to my new schedule." he explained to Miss Diantha.
So now he's able to apologize? "No problem. Take a seat, please." Miss Diantha said, smiling kindly.
I tried to avoid eye contact. I looked over to May and Dawn, hoping we could pass notes or whatever, but they were busy being May and Dawn, so I started to play with my pencil. As I was playing with it, I felt two taps on my shoulder. I turned around, to see that the boy literally just sat next to me.
"Hey, I think we got off on the wrong foot. My name is Ash."
