It was another morning at high school, and Starlight Glimmer was talking to Rainbow Dash. "Did you notice how sad and quiet Garrett looked yesterday?" Starlight asked. "Yeah, I did," said Dash, "I think it might have something to do with Twilight dating Leo. I can read body language, and I can tell Garrett had a crush on her. Course, I bet he probably didn't know they were dating since homecoming..." Starlight nodded and said, "yeah, poor kid. He's such a nice boy..." Dash gave a sly smile and asked, "you like Sunset's brother, don't you?" Starlight blushed and asked, "w-what?!?!?!? I, uh..." Dash chuckled and said, "hey don't worry, I won't judge."

"How do I ask him out?" Starlight asked. "Just quietly approach him and ask him if he wants to hang out," advised Dash, "no fuss, no muss." Starlight smiled and said, "thanks for the advice Dash. I'm surprised you haven't gotten a boyfriend yet." Dash smirked and said, "that's because I haven't found anyone who matches my speed." Starlight smiled and rolled her eyes. Typical Rainbow, always cocky and brash. Not that she minded. Meanwhile, Garrett and Sunset had just gotten to school when Garrett unintentionally bumped into Leonardo, Twilight's boyfriend. Leo was wearing a blue and black jacket, a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots. "Oh, hey Leo..." Garrett awkwardly said. "Hey Garrett," said Leo, "how have you been?" Garrett shrugged and said, "I'm doing fine. Same old, same old. How are things between you and Twilight?"

"Things are good," said Leo, "it's good to see you're doing alright Garrett. You take good care of yourself, alright?" Garrett nodded and said, "will do Leo. See you and Dash on the gym field." Leo smirked and said, "oh you will. It's dodgeball day, I definitely want you on my team." Garrett smiled. He really did like Leo. He was a good leader when it came to teams on the gym. He would definitely follow Leo into battle. Now if Flash had been Twilight's boyfriend and somehow found out that Garrett tried asking her out, Flash would have punched Garrett in the face for "flirting with his girl." Not Leonardo Hamato though. He was better than that. Much later, it was lunchtime, and Garrett was by his locker eating lunch by himself. He didn't mind it though. Meanwhile, Starlight was in the same hallway Garrett was. She breathed in and out, and then walked on over to where Garrett was sitting. Garrett looked up and said, "oh hey Starlight."

"Hey Garrett," she replied, "you mind if I sit next to you?" Garrett shrugged and said, "go ahead." Starlight then sat down next to Garrett, smiling. "How have you been?" she asked, blushing a little. "I've been good," said Garrett, "I had a lot of fun playing dodgeball with Leo and Dash at gym class today." He smiled at her. "That's good to know," said Starlight, "are you planning on doing anything this weekend?" Garrett shook his head and said, "not really." Starlight breathed in and asked, "have you seen Cabin In The Woods?" Garrett shook his head and replied, "I have not. Is it good?" Starlight smiled and said, "oh it's a great movie. It may look and sound like your generic horror film, but it's so much more than that. My dad bought the DVD last weekend. You want to come over to my house and watch it with me this weekend?" Garrett smiled and said, "sure, I'd love to do that with you Starlight. So how do you want to do transportation?"

"I can pick you up myself in the afternoon," said Starlight, "I've visited your house before, so I know where you live. Also I got my own car, so it'll be easy." Garrett smiled and said, "sounds super easy, barely an inconvenience. I'll talk to Mom and Pop, and we can arrange it all." Starlight beamed and said, "great! Can't wait to see you this weekend." She hugged him excitedly. Garrett blushed and hugged back. Starlight, realizing what she did, squeaked and pulled away, blushing in embarassment. "Sorry," said Starlight. Garrett giggled and said, "nah it's cool. This weekend's gonna be awesome!" Little did he and Starlight know was that this weekend was going to get crazy.
