Sonic decided to start from the beginning. "Alright, so I'm from a different planet entirely," explained Sonic, "you see, I'm from Mobius. And as you can tell, I have super speed." Garrett smirked and asked, "how fast are we talking?" Sonic ran off, and then five seconds later, came back with a cone of ice cream. "Gee, thanks," said Garrett as he took the cone, eating it. "So yeah, being fast is pretty cool," said Sonic, "but with great power comes great accountability. And there are a lot of forces of evil that want my powers for their own selfish gains. When I was a little kid, a tribe of evil echidnas tried to abduct me. My mother figure who raised me then had me flee Mobius with a bag of magical rings." Garrett gave a look of sympathy and said, "I'm sorry you lost your mother figure. So you said you had a bag of magical rings? What do they look like and what do they do?" Sonic then pulled out a small white satchel, opened them, and revealed many small golden rings. Sonic pulled out a ring so Garrett could look. "These magical rings open a portal to anywhere," explained Sonic, "from different states and cities, different countries, different planets, and different dimensions. Say you wanna go to Italy." Sonic dropped a ring, and it revealed a portal to Italy. Garrett looked at the portal, impressed. "You just go in there and voila, you're there," explained Sonic as the portal then closed and disappeared. "Amazing," said Garrett. "Anyway, I was living in a dimension similar to your earth for the last 10 years," continued Sonic, "I was living in a small town known as Green Hill. I kinda suffer from a severe case of loneliness, and I may have some abandonment issues, and then I may have gone a little berserk with my powers which kinda caused a power outage. This kinda gained the attention of the government, and they sent this mad scientist known as Dr. Robotnik to hunt me down. That egghead sent some of his drones to capture me! Seems he wanted to vivisect me to harness my powers!" Garrett cringed and said, "oof, that sounds bad... I wouldn't want to get vivisected either..."

"You bet!" said Sonic, "so I freaked and decided to choose some random dimension to get away from Eggman and his crony drones, and here we are. I just want to find a place I can call home and live in peace, does that make sense?" Garrett nodded and said, "yeah, that totally makes sense, Sonic. I sympathize with you. You can stay here." Sonic smiled and said, "thanks Garrett. You're a very nice guy." Suddenly, Starlight stirred, slowly waking up. "Ugh, what happened?" Starlight groaned, "did my sandals come off? I thought I saw a blue alien or something..." She looked at Sonic and said, "oh, you are real..." Sonic sheepishly waved. "Don't worry Starlight, he's a good guy," assured Garrett, "this is Sonic. Sonic, this is my friend Starlight Glimmer. She's also a friend of my sister." Starlight shook Sonic's hand and said, "hello, nice to meet you Sonic. Sorry for fainting."

"It's no sweat," said Sonic, "it's not THE most negative reaction I've ever endured." Starlight sat up. "Sonic is basically from an alternate dimension seeking refuge from an evil mad scientist," explained Garrett. "Oh dear, that sounds horrible," sympathized Starlight. "Anyway, you alright with me crashing here?" Sonic asked. Starlight then said, "Garrett? Can I talk to you privately?" Starlight then took Garrett to the laundry room. Once they knew it was private, Starlight said, "okay, up until now, I thought the Multiverse was nothing more than a theory. Sonic of course proves that not only are we not alone in this universe, there's probably more than one universe out there. And I'm alright with Sonic taking refuge here. However, I don't know how my dad would react to an alien living in this household!" Garrett nodded and said, "I can see why that would be a problem... I'm not sure whether to tell my dad or Sunset..."

"Maybe it would be a good idea to tell your sister," suggested Starlight, "her boyfriend and his parents might know what to do." Garrett smiled and said, "times like these, I really admire your brilliance, Starlight." This caused her to blush and smile. Garrett then got his phone and called Sunset. Once his sister picked up, Garrett said, "hey Sunset. Nothing bad happened. Can you come over? Oh, you're with Raph? That's good, we might need his help. You won't believe what Starlight and I stumbled across..."
