Thirty minutes later, Garrett and Michelangelo made it to the Hamato Household. They saw that Sonic and the rest of the Hamato family were in the living room, watching TV. Garrett then said, "Sonic! Robotnik's here!" Sonic gasped in horror and said, "he is???" Michelangelo nodded and said, "it's true, man! He blew up Sugarcube Corner and knocked out Starlight, kidnapping her! Fluttershy, Ivy, Pinkie and I saw it ourselves! And that egghead was just as mean as you said he was, Sonic!"

"It gets worse," continued Garrett, "Robotnik told me that if I didn't bring you to him, he'd kill Starlight!" Sonic then started to panic. "Oh no!" he said, "I didn't expect him to find me like this! This is bad, very bad! This is all my fault! We're all in danger!" Raph placed his hand on Sonic and said, "dude it's okay. Now is not the time to panic. Any plans, fearless leader?" Leo rubbed his chin and asked, "did Robotnik specify a time and place to meet him?" Garrett nodded and said, "yeah, he said we have less than 24 hours to meet his negotiations, or else it's game over for Starlight. He also stated that he and Starlight are currently at the Canterlot Aquarium."

"Follow up question, did this Robotnik villain have any technology?" Leo asked. "He did," confirmed Mikey, "Pinkie, Ivy, and I took pictures." Mikey showed his cell phone to Donnie so that Donnie could look at the photos of the spaceship and the mini drones that were fueled by Sonic's power. "This technology looks very different," observed Donnie, "but I think with my laptop, I can easily hack into Robotnik's technology to stop him." Leo looked at Sonic and said, "I got a plan. Sonic you're going to be the Trojan Horse. We'll trick Robotnik into thinking that we're surrendering you to him, when in actuality, we're going to rescue Starlight. Donnie you can hack into the drones and Robotnik's ship to destroy them. You think you can distract Robotnik long enough, Sonic?" The Hedgehog smirked and said, "you bet I can. I'll even use my gold rings to maroon Robotnik into another dimension." Garrett smiled and said, "that's a perfect plan." Sonic placed his hand on Garrett's shoulder and said, "you and Starlight have really helped me Garrett. If it weren't for the both of you and your sister, I would probably feel lonely. I owe a lot to you. So I'm going to make a promise to you. Starlight Glimmer is not going to die today." Leo placed his hand on Garrett's shoulder and said, "we'll all make sure of it. Remember this Sonic. No matter what happens, you'll always be family to us." Raph nodded and said, "once a Hamato, always a Hamato."

"Before we get to work, I gotta do something," said Sonic. He then ran out of the household and then ran to Rainbow Dash's room. "Sonic?" Dash said in surprise, "I heard that Starlight got kidnapped!" Sonic nodded and said, "it's true. I'm going to join Garrett and the Hamato Brothers in rescuing her. Which means I'm going to have to confront my worst enemy. And I have no freaking clue whether I'm going to make it or not. So if I never see you again, know that I love you." Rainbow smiled and said, "I know." Sonic then kissed her on the lips, surprising Dash. She melted into the kiss. After letting go of the kiss, Rainbow said, "go get 'em Sonic." Sonic then ran back to the Hamato Household and said, "alright, let's go save Starlight."
