Sonic's quill was eventually caught by that drone. And the quill was then taken to the lab of Dr. Ivo Robotnik. For many days, Doctor Robotnik studied the power of Sonic's quill. As he studied, Robotnik's assistant Snively Stone walked in and said, "Doctor, I got you your coffee with Austrian goat milk."

"I acknowledge appreciation Stone," said Robotnik, "especially since I like the way you make my coffee. Do you know what I've discovered through studying the fur quill of our extraterrestrial friend?" He took a sip of his coffee. "What's that?" Stone monotonically asked. "This fur quill possesses the same speed as our extraterrestrial friend," said Robotnik, "and it also contains traces of radiation one would not consider deadly, and yet does not originate from Earth either. In fact the room our extraterrestrial friend exited from contained this same radiation. I have deduced that this radiation could lead to a gateway to alternate dimensions. Which proves that the Multiverse is indeed real. Our blue friend has escaped into another dimension, one that could be similar to ours. Thankfully, I have been able to create technology with this alien's blue fur quill that matches his speed. Including a gateway that can transport me to alternate dimensions, including the dimension where our extraterrestrial trespasser has escaped!"

Robotnik went into a spaceship that was fueled by Sonic's quill, and set several coordinates. "I will travel the Multiverse itself," said Robotnik, "and I will find our illegal immigrant, and catch him, bringing him to our government! Or my name isn't Dr Ivo Robotnik!" Snively nodded and said, "good luck, and Godspeed, Doctor." Ivo scoffed and said, "I do not need the involvement of the Lord or luck! For I am superior to everyone!" Robotnik cackled evilly as the spaceship, fueled with Sonic's powers and containing an unlimited amount of drones; disappeared with him, traveling into the Multiverse on the hunt for Sonic The Hedgehog!
