It was another typical morning for the Shimmer family in Canterlot City. The Shimmer Family consisted of Ray Shimmer and his wife June, their 18 year old daughter Sunset, and their son Garrett, who was 15 going on 16. Sunset was wearing a blue and yellow blouse, aqua blue leggings, her black leather jacket, and black leather boots. Garrett was wearing a blue coat with red music notes, a yellow t-shirt with a red music note, bright blue jeans, and red sneakers with black shoelaces.

The family had just finished eating breakfast, and now the siblings were getting ready for school. Sunset and Garrett got their backpacks on, and June said, "you two have a good day at school."

"We will Mom," promised Sunset as she picked up her magenta helmet. "Don't do anything we wouldn't do," joked Ray as he winked at his kids. "We won't Dad," chuckled Garrett as he picked up his fiery red helmet. The two got outside and onto Sunset's fiery red motorcycle. Sunset had gotten this vehicle on her 16th birthday, and she usually rode on that motorcycle when going to school or hanging with her friends or her boyfriend. Several minutes later, Sunset and Garrett made it to Canterlot High School. Sunset parked in the motorcycle area in the parking lot and the siblings got off the motorcycle, taking off their helmets. "Thanks for the ride sis," said Garrett as he smiled at Sunset. "No problem little bro," said Sunset. Suddenly, someone from behind said, "Hey babe. I see you made it early." Sunset turned around, and saw it was her boyfriend Raphael Hamato. He was wearing a red long sleeved shirt, brown pants, and dark green sneakers. He had caucasian skin, black hair with shades of dark green, and emerald green eyes. "I'm always early for you hun," said Sunset as she smiled and kissed her boyfriend. She and Raphael had been dating since last summer. "You two done?" Donatello, Raphael's younger brother asked. He was wearing a jade green jacket, a light purple sweater, dark jeans, and purple sneakers. He wore glasses, had caucasian skin, semi-ginger hair, and reddish brown eyes. "You're such a buzzkill Don," grumbled Raph as he rolled his eyes, "what does Rarity see in you?" Donnie sarcastically laughed, "haha, you're so funny Raph." Sunset snorted from laughter. "Hey Donnie. Hey Raph," said Garrett as he smiled at the two brothers. "Hey Gar," said Raphael as he fist bumped Garrett. "How you doing today Garrett?" Donnie asked, smiling a little. "Pretty good," said Garrett, "I'm on chapter 12 of The Invisible Man so far."

"Hey that's great to hear," said Donnie, "I think Rarity ought to be here in a few minutes. I'll go wait for her." He adjusted his glasses. "Mind if we wait with you?" Sunset offered. Donnie shrugged and said, "sure." Garrett smiled and asked, "can you guys say hi to Leo and Mikey for me?" Raph gave the thumbs up and said, "sure thing Garrett. You stay out of trouble now, ya hear? Don't do anything I would do." Sunset laughed and said, "see you after school little bro." Garrett smiled and was about to go inside when he nearly ran into Starlight Glimmer. Starlight was wearing her pink beanie, an aqua green shirt with pink undertones, a black sleeveless vest, a black watch, torn grey jeans, and black high heeled boots with pink laces.

"Oh hey Starlight," said Garrett as he blushed, "sorry, I almost ran into you." Starlight blushed and smiled while saying, "oh, it's okay Garrett. How are you doing today?" Garrett smiled and said, "I'm doing pretty good. How are you doing today?" He rubbed his sleeve a little. "I'm also doing good," said Starlight, "my folks got a new streaming service, so that's cool."

"That is cool," said Garrett, "my folks also have some streaming services of their own. What service did you get?" Starlight smiled and said, "Disney+. I see that as an absolute win." Garrett nodded and said, "that is a win. Well, I better get to class. I'll tell Sunset you said hi." Starlight giggled and said, "well since she and I attend art class together, I think I can say hi to her myself. See you around Garrett." She winked at him and smiled. Garrett smiled and waved. He also saw Twilight Sparkle and smiled at her. He sighed happily. Of course, little did he know that Twilight was already taken, and he was in for one heck of an awakening.
