All the Way in Love
"Why are you so pouty?" Nikki asked as he sat beside me on the couch.
"I can't do anything because I'm pregnant," I muttered, crossing my arms.
"You can do plenty of stuff," he said with a laugh.
"No; I can't drink on New Years, I can't smoke anything, I can't take anything when I'm sick. I can't do shit," I whined as he pulled me into his arms.
"You can spend your time with me," he pointed out, a cheesy grin plastered across his face.
"Yeah, I guess that'll be okay," I mumbled, giggling as he poked my belly.
"How much longer until this thing gets bigger?" he asked, referring to my bump (or lack thereof).
"Probably a couple more months. At least after my birthday."
"She's gonna have the coolest parents ever," he mumbled.
"She?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "I think you mean he."
"Nope, I meant she," he said with a smile.
I smiled and shook my head. Granted Nikki was having a bitch of a time with his withdrawals, but he was doing better already. It had only been a week, but I could already see the difference, and it made me excited for our future.
We were meant to last; a force to be reckoned with. Nikki Sixx and Sadie Parker, the ultimate power couple of 1987... well, 1981 through (almost) 1988. The new year was going to begin in a matter of minutes, and it was like turning a page and beginning a new life.
Nikki had been writing even more in his journal lately, and he seemed to be trying to write some new material for Mötley Crüe's next album. Although his withdrawals had him down, he seemed reasonably clear headed for the first time in years.
"He's going to be your new best friend," I said as he rested his hands on my stomach.
"Impossible; she'll never take your place," he whispered, kissing my temple.
"I hope you know that mentally, I'm correcting you. He."
"Hah! Nope. It's gonna be a girl."
"No way. He's gonna be a little trouble maker, just like his daddy."
"Nope."
"Yup."
"I don't think so," he said, putting his hand over my mouth.
I removed his hand from my mouth with a smile and began to play with his fingers. I didn't know what it was, but musicians had such beautiful hands, and Nikki's were my favorite. Maybe it was because they created such great music, like life soundtracks... maybe it was just because they had nice genetics.
After years of abuse and doing stupid shit, Nikki's hands were still soft. Through fights and accidents, playing bass, and burning his fingers when he cooked heroin in bottle caps, his hands seemed to deflect any damage; it was like they were indestructible, which I knew for a fact that they weren't, due to seeing someone nail him with a bottle and split his finger open (which bled everywhere while he was on stage), but I was still amazed.
I laid down and rested my head in his lap as I continued to play with his fingers, observing his finger prints as he ran the fingers of his opposite hand through my hair. Soon enough, he spoke again.
"Hey, Sadie..."
"Yes, Nikki?"
"Do you wanna get married?" he asked thoughtfully. "Like, for real, not just theoretically," he added.
"I would like to, yeah."
"Like... to me?"
"Of course to you."
"Really?"
"Yes, really."
"You're serious? For real?"
"Yes," I insisted with a laugh. "I'm really, really, for real serious."
"Well then... will you marry me?" he asked, looking down at me as I laid across his lap.
"Yes, I absolutely will," I said with a smile.
"Cool," he mumbled with a big smile.
I laughed and shook my head before sitting up and kissing him.
"We'll get you a ring, don't worry. You can pick," he said, letting out a soft chuckle.
"I don't need a ring, Nikki. I just need you."
"Well, I like to treat you, so I'm getting you a ring."
"What ever you say, Mr. Sixx," I mumbled with a laugh, playing with his long black hair.
"Mm-hm. By the way," he said, glancing up at the clock, "Happy New Year, Mrs. Soon-to-be Sixx," he purred with a smile, kissing me once more.
"Happy New Year. May it be better than the last," I said with a chuckle.
"It is so far."

When I awoke the next morning, it was because of Whiskey jumping onto our bed, panting and running around like a mad man- well, mad dog. It was like he was doing victory donuts on top of me, bunching up the bed covers in a lumpy spiral. '
As soon as he scraped me with one of his claws, I was up and busied myself with trying to push him to the floor, yelling at him to stpo, only to realize that Nikki was not beside me, which still made my stomach turn with nerves.
"Whiskey? Whiskey! No! Bad dog," he shouted as he rushed into the room, attempting to grab our wild dog.
"Why is he being crazy?" I asked as Whiskey slid through Nikki's hands and bolted down the hall.
"We went for a walk!" he yelled as he chased the dog.
I shook my head with a smile. At least they were doing something that was good for them. They both needed it.
Whiskey had too much energy; he was a puppy, and when he got bored, he destroyed things. Nikki on the other hand, didn't have very much energy, but he also destroyed things. Lately he claimed that being active helped his withdrawals. "It takes my mind off of it; I can sweat it out a little faster," was what he had said when I asked him what why he was running around so much.
I fell back onto the our bed and curled up in a ball, not feeling like getting out of bed yet. Being woken up by my psycho dog and crazy boyfriend, well, fiancé, wasn't exactly how I thought I'd start my day.
I must have fallen asleep, because then next time I opened my eyes, Nikki was sitting beside me, a soft smile on his face.
"Good morning, Sexy Sadie," he said, brushing a stray bit of hair out of my eyes.
"Good morning," I mumbled before stretching. "What time is it?"
"One."
"In the afternoon?" I asked, sitting up.
"Yeah. You fell back asleep earlier."
"When was that?"
"About ten thirty."
"I've been sleeping for that long?"
"Yeah. You were talking to me in your sleep," he said happily, smiling to himself.
"Was I?"
He nodded. "You were saying that you loved me."
"Well, I do love you," I said as I leaned in for a kiss.
"Mm, brush your teeth first," he said with a laugh, pressing a finger to my lips.
"Oh, look at you, Mr. I-believe-in-hygiene-and-walking-the-dog. Who are you, and what have you done with my Nikki?" I asked jokingly as I walked to our bathroom.
"You mean Sikki?" he asked.
"Sikki?"
"Yeah, Sikki Nixx, the dude that parties too hard and has died a couple times."
"Oh... So I'm back to the real Nikki again?"
"Yes, ma'am," he said proudly.
"Well, I'm very glad to hear that. I missed that dude. He usually thinks clearly," I teased with a laugh.
"He tries to," he shouted from the other room.
After brushing my teeth, I walked back into our room, stripping in the process.
"So, does that mean you're feeling better?" I asked him as I threw my clothes into our dirty laundry bin.
"Yeah, I def- Oh... Waiting for me, were you?" he asked when he realized that I was naked.
"No, I was actually going to take a shower. You can join me if you'd like, though."
"I'm going to have to take you up on that one."

"I really didn't mean to get soap in your eye," he insisted as I got dressed.
"I know you didn't; don't worry about it. I washed it out, so I should be fine," I said as we got dressed.
"Wait!" he shouted, causing me to jump.
"What?"
"Nothing," he said after a moment, completely calm. "I just wanted to enjoy the view," he said with a smirk.
"Oh, god. You scared me. I thought something was wrong," I mumbled, laughing at myself.
"I can tell. I saw you jump."
"Well, that's kind of what happens when someone randomly yells at you."
"Sorry," he murmured, still chuckling softly to himself.
"Mm-hm. Sure you are."
"By the way, I have something for you," he said as he pulled on his pants.
"Oh,is it- never mind. I'm going to keep it PG," I joked, laughing to myself as I put my clothes on.
"What?"
"What?" I asked innocently.
"Is it what?"
"Nothin'."
"I wanna know," he whined.
"I was going to say something inappropriate."
"So I assumed," he said as he walked over to where he had thrown his jacket. "I wouldn't expect anything else from you, baby. What was it?"
"I was going to ask if it was in your pants," I said as I began to laugh, covering my face in embarrassment.
"I mean, you can have that, too, but I have something else for you."
He stood up, turned around, and as soon as he saw me, he began to laugh.
"Are you still laughing because you've turned into a Mötley Crüe style pervert?" he asked.
I nodded, my hand over my mouth as tears of laughter streamed down my face.
"Sick-o," he teased with a laugh, shaking his head as he walked towards me. "I need you calm for a second, okay?" he asked cutely, his hands behind his back as he stood before me.
"Okay," I wheezed, wiping my cheeks. "Okay, I'm calm."
"Okay. It's time for me to do this properly," he mumbled before kneeling.
"Oh my g-"
"Shh," he said softly. "Sadie, I want to do this the right way. I love you so much, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Our kids are going to have the best mother; I will be the luckiest man with the best wife. Will you marry me- officially? More official than last night," he added as he held a little black box up to me, which was opened to reveal a beautiful diamond engagement ring.
"Nikki, of course I will marry you. I told you last night that I would. I love you. So. Fucking. Much," I said, holding back tears as I crumbled into his arms on the floor.
"I love you more than you could ever know," he said as he held me close. "Now, let's see if the ring fits you, yeah?"
"God, it's beautiful," I breathed as he slid the ring onto my finger. "It fits perfectly, Nikki. How did you know?"
"I guessed," he said with a shrug, a smile plastered on his handsome face. "I guessed from all of the times you've tried to wear my rings; I just had to compare mine to their size thingy and see which one would work the best."
"Well, you did a great job," I said, admiring my ring as I sat in his lap.
"You really like it?"
"I love it," I said, kissing his cheek. "But you didn't have to do that."
"I know, but I figured I'd spoil the mother of my child. You're my lady, and I can't wait to show you off."
"Well the sparkle of this ring will definitely bring attention," I said with a giggle.
"I know I said we'd go together, but you were sleeping and-"
"It's perfect," I said, cutting him off with a kiss.
It really was a perfect ring; one big diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. The silver band was so clean and shiny; overall the ring could blind someone in direct sunlight, but that didn't stop me from admiring it.
The random, drunk stranger I met turned out to be the love of my life, and I had never been happier to be in someone's arms. Even through the whole tour, Nikki was the one person that kept me completely centered, even if it was because I had to take care of him.
Now we were going to get married and have a baby. Our dog was going to have someone other than Nikki to chase him around the house, and I honestly could not wait for the chaos. I lived for it; I'd been surrounded by it for years, and this was just going to become a different type of chaos.
My own chaos.
Our chaos.
