It has been a few days since my nightmare. I have been keeping a close socket on anything that might be different. Red has been close to the ruins door and the jokes Lady. Where the kid usually comes out of, but didn't yet. Frisk is never late, wither the run is pacifist, genocide, or neutral.

I didn't tell Red about my nightmare fully, only that Boss was angry and 'separated' us. So when ever Boss is around, by my request, we would be very cautious. I asked Red if he could be on time for his shift, he said, "Yeah sure. I'll try Bro."

I've been walking through waterfall, letting the drops on the ceiling fall. I have been listening to the ECHO flowers. Mostly because I bump into one accidentally. The glow, helps calm me. Almost a nice peaceful feeling.

"Thought I'd find you here. Your almost too predictable, might want to change your schedule or something before Boss finds out." I guess my plans throughout the day are too predictable. "So what did you come here for? The fake stars, the sound of the calming water, or is it the glow of the flowers? First time I came here in a long while."

"Come on Red, you know why I come here. I love the glow, it is calming." I lean against his legs as he sits down. Sighing I respond, "I guess I'll switch up-"

"THERE YOU TWO ARE. SLACKING OFF AS USUAL."

"B-boss, nah we ain't. It's our lunch break." Red said while shrugging. I closed my eyes after that.

"Mines al-almost over. I was about t-to head b-back soon. I j-just want-ted to-to talk with R-Red for a minute." I just couldn't move any more after I felt Red shift.

"WELL CARMINE, LOOK AT YOU KEEPING UP A SCHEDULE. NOT BAD. Change it up." Since when did Boss get closer? I didn't hear any footsteps. Did I stop breathing, did I respond? "GOOD, I WILL SEE YOU CARMINE BACK AT YOUR SENTRY STATION IN TEN MINUTES. AS FOR YOU RED I WILL SEE YOU IN AN HOUR." His footsteps start to fade away. Once gone I breath again. I guess I forgot to breath.

"Don't worry about him Carmin. Here I'll walk with you to your station. I'm sure Boss dropped off his lasagne too. So lunch will be served. You know how he is." He helps me up and we start to walk.

"Yeah, I wouldn't mind having lunch. Now is it really your lunch break?" I stare at him.

"Nah that was just an excuse so I wouldn't 've had my ass kicked."

"Really? It's a good thing that your in the middle of changing your schedule."

"Come on, you got nine minutes until Boss will give it to ya."

As we enter Snowdin, I only have about three minutes until Boss checks my station for me. Getting anxious I start to walk faster. Since my station is in the middle of Papyrus' puzzle traps. "Come on bro, just shortcut there. Easy as pie." Red slumps his arm on me. I shrug it off.

"We are the same height." I snarl then shortcut to my sentry station. Sometimes I forget that I am able to fold space.

I sit down on the stool at my station. I look at the surface of my station. A container filled with lasagne. I take out the fork I carry with me in my pocket. As I start eating Papyrus is coming and walking by his traps. "Hey Boss. I started thinking about my schedule, I was thinking th-that I should have my lunch later in the day over at Hotland. That sound good t-to you?"

He stares at me for a while, he then nods. "I WILL ACCEPT IT. I WILL GIVE YOU UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK TO FINISH PLANNING YOUR NEW SCHEDULE. I HAVE TO GO CHECK UP ON THE OTHER ONE NOW. WHY HE CHOSE NEW HOME AS HIS LUNCH CHANGE IS BEYOND ME." The snow crunches as he strides away. Wind blowing his torn up scarf in a dramatic way. How he is able to make the wind do that is beyond me.

"That was a close one wasn't it?"

"Sh!t!! Red, you gave me a heart attack!" I turn to see him laughing. I feel my face turn from a frown to a scowl. "You are the only one I swear that can make me mad."

"It's a good thing if you think about it bro. You know the rule in this world-"

"It's kill or be killed." I join him at the end. I help him up, then push him down again.

"Aren't you supposed to be at your post now? Boss is on his way there." As he gets up I decide to push him into the snow one more time.

"C'mon Carmine, I'll just take a shortcut. I'll get there before him no worries... You better get eating, we can have lunch together when you get to your sentry station at Hotland." Red pats my back.

"Alright alright, remember your promise. Get to your station so Boss doesn't get mad." I sit back in my chair as my twin goes behind my station and disappears from that space. I sigh and start to eat again.

I'll just bug him by not moving to Hotland today.
"Hehe, jeez bro. You should know me better than that."

Startled I fell over into the snow. "Kid, you gotta work on bein' on the snow and not the ice. He he he.." I look away as they move toward my sentry station.

"Just keep movin' kid. We can continue this later."

I get home to see Red already on the couch, and sounds from the kitchen telling me Papyrus is in there. I go towards the couch and sit on the other side of the couch of my brother. "What's on tonight?"

"Mettaton, ya know how Boss gets. Tonight is his night."

"Right, what day of the week is it? I can't seem to keep track of it." I point to the t.v. showing that monsters are on a track getting ready for a race. We laugh and the t.v. becomes background noise.

"The kid is..." I groan.
"What?" Red sits up. "One of those days huh?"

"Great talk Red! But I just... Don't mean to ruin the... B-Boss..." Dang it, why can't I stop stuttering and just talk with him.

"You are wondering about the kid? Don't worry, I made sure they are doing a passive rout this time. Just relax a bit." Why relax? That kid could change their mind at any time. I swear it is getting hard on how many resets this kid does.

"O-oh. Alright... This time let's just make sure that B-boss doesn't see them." I pull at my jacket.

"I don' know how we are g'nna get the kid to 'gree to it, but sure. We can hide them from Boss." He take my hand off of my jacket. A habit he is trying to break me from.
