Intro

Hello and Welcome to Get a Line on you!

A somewhat more or less useless/-full guide on Brian Jones.

Before we start I just want to point out a few things:

1. Obviously I didn't know him personally, nor did I interview people who knew him, so don't expect me to know every little detail about his life, but I try to keep this as historical correct as I can.

2. You're free to ask questions. If there is something you want to know about him, just comment or message me. ( You can ask things about me too, even though I don't know why you should.😅)

3. Of course you can submit things too. You have an interview, a picture or anything you want to see in this book? Just message me. I'm always thankful for any help and of course you get credit for those things.

4. I don't want to see any hate. I get it that Anita is a very controversial topic for example, but I don't want to read comments telling me what a bitch she was. You can talk about her of course, but please keep it somewhat nice. Even somebody you don't like, earns respect. Thanks.

5. Don't expect me to update everyday or to reply to everything immediately, I'm actually a very busy person and I'm just doing this for fun and because some people kind of asked me too.

6. I did a lot of research on Brian for my story 'Out of Time', but that doesn't mean I get everything correct. If I do a mistake, just tell me. I might be really savage, but I have no problem with admitting when I was wrong.

I think that was it. Oh if a nice somebody wants to make a cover for me, I would be really thankful for it. ❤

So let's start with a warming up question:

Why did I name the book "Get a line on you"?

"Get a line on you" is the name of a song Mick wrote for Brian in 1968, which dealt with Brian's addiction to drugs and his worsening state of being/mind. They recorded a version of it in 1969, (the one you can listen to in the video below) (Mick Jagger: lead vocals, Charlie Watts: drums, Leon Russell: piano, Bill Wyman: bass, and Mick Taylor: guitar).  After Brian's death Mick rewrote it and the song was later on released as "Shine a light" on Exile on Main Street in 1972. ( Mick Jagger: lead vocals, Jimmy Miller: drums, Mick Taylor: guitar. Bill Wyman: bass, Clydie King, Joe Green, Venetta Fields and Jesse Kirkland: back-up singers, Billy Preston: piano and organ.)

Furthermore get a line on you, means if I'm not completely wrong (English is not my first language!) to get information about somebody and I found that idea very fitting for this book.
