"I wrote Teenagers on the train. We were doing a pre-production in New York City, and I was riding the subway. Sometimes I would be on the train and a lot of teenagers would be out of school and on the train. I found myself kinda scared by them. They were running around, yelling, being real violent, and breaking things. And I thought wow, am I officially old? Am I officially out of touch? I don't remember them being so crazy when I was their age."
