The first match of the finals is underway, and the battle between Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A and Hitoshi Shinso of the General Class. Izuku takes the stage to battle Hitoshi.

Present Mic: The first match of the first round of the final tournament. From the Hero Course, it's Izuku Midoriya! Vs— From General Studies, it's Hitoshi Shinso! The rules are simple. Force your opponent to out of bounds, or immobilize them! You can also win by making your opponent say, 'I give up'! Because we've got our very own Recovery Girl waiting on standby! Put your morals and ethics aside for a moment! But of course, anything life threatening is crap! It's not allowed! Heroes should only use their fist to catch villains!

Sora on the stand watch down towards the arena and saw Izuku taking a deep breath before getting ready. However, Shinso from the General Studies seemed unfazed by Izuku's presence as if he's not worthy.

Shinso: 'I give up', huh? You get it don't you, Izuku Midoriya? This is a fight to test the strength of your spirit. If you know what you want for your future, then you can't worry about appearances.

Present Mic: READY?

Shinos: That dumb chimp made mention of his 'pride', but—

Present Mic: START!

Shinso: —don't you agree he's a retard for flushing away his chances?

Izuku:—!! What did you say?!!

Hitoshi taunts Izuku about Mashirao which infuriates him and gets him to talk, activating his Brainwashing Quirk. The crowd watches in horror as Izuku stands immobile in the middle of the ring.

Shinso: I win.

All Might: ?!

Ojiro: I went through the trouble of warning him, too!

Present Mic: Hey! Hey! What's up?! It's the important first match! Liven things up!

Ochako: Deku?!

Tenya: What in the world is going on?

Sarada: He suddenly stop walking. Or to be more precise, he's entire being stop.

The first match of the finals is underway, but Izuku has stopped in his tracks. Present Mic attributes this to Hitoshi Shinso's Quirk. Eraser Head comments that the match is an example of why the U.A. Entrance Exam is flawed; Hitoshi has a powerful Quirk, however, he was not admitted to the hero course because the practical exam was based on scoring points by fighting robotic villains.

Sora: So that's his Quirk eh. Brainwashing.

Shinso: You're lucky that you've been blessed, Izuku Midoriya. Turn around and walk out of bounds.

Hitoshi's Quirk, Brainwashing, allows him to control anyone that talks to him. He tells Izuku he is lucky to have been blessed with a heroic Quirk, then orders Izuku to turn around and walk out of bounds. Izuku obeys and starts walking towards the edge of the ring, much to the shock of everyone watching.

Present Mic: Huh? What?! Midoriya's being so obedient!

Ochako: Deku!

Tenya: If you go out of bounds, then you'll lose the match!

Sarada: Snap out of it, Izuku!

In Izuku's head, he struggles to stop himself, but is completely helpless to disobey Hitoshi's order and continues walking, his mind is feels like it is full of fog and his body is moving on its own. He remembers what Mashirao told him before the match. Mashirao explains that during the Cavalry Battle, he was under Hitoshi's control until he bumped into Ibara Shiozaki. Izuku could have avoided being brainwashed had he not talked to Hitoshi, and now there's no outside interference to break Hitoshi's hold.

Sora: Izuku! Is this truly going to be your end?! I thought you said you would surpass me!

Seeing his friend was about to cross the line, Sora shouted from the stand. He could not bear seeing Izuku lose on the first match so quickly. But most importantly lose this pathetic. Being brainwashed due to letting your opponent touch a nerve would be a most disappointing defeat.

Sora: I thought you said that you'll no longer be the worthless Deku, but the Deku that always does his Best!

As Sora said so, unbeknownst to him, Sora's right eye changed color and he started to see things. A vision of eight silhouettes in front of Izuku. Then to Sora's surprise, Izuku's quirk activated his Quirk.

Sora(mind): Wha—? Who are those people in front of Izuku?

Izuku(mind): Sora... Yeah that's right.

Izuku begins to give up hope as he gets closer and closer to the line at the edge of the ring, but hearing his best friends voices made him to continue to struggle to the very end. Then he mysteriously receives a vision of eight silhouettes. Suddenly, One For All's power activates and Izuku is able to move his fingers just enough to break them and regain control of his own body.

Present Mic: Th-This is...! Midoriya!! He came to a halt?!!

Tenya: Midoriya!

Ochako: I'm... I'm so glad!

Sarada: Way to make us worry!

Sora: *Sigh in relief *

Sora and his friends all breath a sigh of relief when they saw Izuku regain consciousness. Then Sora noticed Izuku's left index and middle finger were swollen from the wind pressure. In everyone's eyes, Izuku looked like had broken out of the Brainwashing through sheer force, but in Sora's eyes were different.

Sora(mind): Did those silhouettes help him regain consciousness?

Sora was dumbfounded by this revelation. How could a Quirk activates on its own? Who are those people that had aided Izuku? Just what kind of power did Izuku had obtained from All Might? Sora thought all of these with bewildered face.

Sora(mind): These surprises one after another.

Shinso: How?

It appears that Sora was not the only one dumbfounded by this as Shinso voiced out his shocked voice.

Shinso: You shouldn't be able to move freely! What did you do?!

Hitoshi watches in dismay and tries to get Izuku to talk to him again. Izuku close his mouth in order to not speak again and takes a moment to ponder how he activated One For All but puts it aside to finish the fight.

Shinso: Say something, why don't you.

Hitoshi realizes that Mashirao warned Izuku beforehand, as Izuku refuses to talk. He continues to try and force a reaction out of Izuku by talking about how his Quirk puts him at a disadvantage and how Izuku is blessed to have a heroic Quirk.

Izuku(mind): That's why— I can't lose, either!

Shinso: Say something!

Although Izuku feels for Hitoshi and can relate to him, he continues to fight and tries to push him out of bounds.

Hitoshi punches him in the face and at his broken fingers to break his hold. He tries to push Izuku out of bounds, but the latter counters with a shoulder throw that sends Hitoshi out of bounds.

Midnight: Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to round two!

The people cheered immediately. The match ends with Izuku as the winner, and Shota comments on how Izuku used every trick he's picked up at U.A. to win the match.

Present Mic: In the finals, the first person to advance to the second round is Izuku Midoriya from Class 1-A!

Afterward, Izuku asks Hitoshi what drives him to be a hero. He walks away and replies that he cannot help what his heart desires. Izuku thinks about how he can relate to Hitoshi, and believes that before he got One For All, he was just like him. As Hitoshi walks towards the exit, his classmates from the crowd congratulate him. They point him towards the conversations of several Pro Heroes and one of them comments on how amazing Hitoshi is despite not being in the Hero Course. Hitoshi receives these kind words well and tells Izuku that he will become a hero even though he lost the match.

Ochako: I was so nervous!

Tenya: Turning the tables at the last moment! As expected of Midoriya!

Sarada: He also utilized his opponent forces and make it his own. He's gotten better in thinking for a solution.

Kaminari: Yo, Bakugo. He did that shoulder toss on you before too, didn't he?

Katsuki: Shut up, Dunce Face.

On the other hand, Sora stood up and left the stand and went towards Recovery Girl's office and met up with Izuku. All Might was there as well. Izuku has his injuries healed in Recovery Girl's office.

Izuku: Sora.

All Might: Young Uzumaki.

Sora: Way to scare the hell out of me.

Izuku: Sorry. Oh yeah, All Might. I had a vision... There were 9 people... I'm not sure exactly how many... But when it felt like my mind was filled with fog from the brainwashing, the vision appeared, as if to drive away the fog. It was like I was barely able to move just my fingertips for a moment... There was someone with eyes like you, too, All Might.

Sora:...

Izuku: Was it, the people who had inherited One for All who did it?

Izuku said oblivious that Sora was also there. It didn't dawn on him that he and All Might had yet to explained the Quirk that was given to him to Sora. But since Sora already knew about the Quirk that Izuku had gained from All Might he just shrugged it off. Instead, he voices his concern too.

Sora: Oh... I thought I was the only one seeing things.

Izuku and All Might: Eh...?

Sora: Those silhouettes that you mentioned, I saw them too. And it was 8 people, Izuku, not 9...

All Might: Y-Young Uzumaki... What are you saying...?

Izuku: Are you saying you can see those silhouettes?

Sora: Yeah. I saw them moved your fingertips at the last moment. I wanted to ask you two to confirm it, but what are they?

Sora nonchalantly state that he too saw the silhouettes which brought a shock to both Izuku and All Might. Sora is not a One for All User so how could he sees them? It's not strange if All Might was the one who sees them since he was the previous users, but someone who didn't inherit the Quirk's DNA shouldn't be able to see them.

All Might: Young Uzumaki, could you give me more details about it?

Sora: Um... Sure I guess, but I'm not quite sure myself. I don't even know these One for All you and Izuku are talking about, All Might.

All Might: I-I see... Then when the festival is over, do you think you could make some time for us to talk.

Sora: Yeah, sure. I wanted to confirm something too.

After these, Sora and Izuku returns to the stands and sits with his friends after receiving a congratulatory nod from Mashirao. The next battle between Hanta Sero and Shoto begins immediately.

Present Mic: Thanks for waiting! Next up is... these guys! He's good! He's good, but what's with that plainness he just can't get rid of? From the Hero Course, it's Hanta Sero!

Sero: That's mean.

Present Mic: Vs— Taking 4th, then 3rd in the prelims! You're way too strong, kid! He wasn't recommended for admission for nothing! Also from the Hero Course, it's Shoto Todoroki! And now, for the second match of the finals—!

Sero: Well, I don't feel like I can win...

Present Mic: READY—START!!

Sero: I definitely ain't rolling over, either!!

Shoto: Sorry.

Hanta starts off strong and nearly throws Shoto out of the ring, but the latter takes out his aforementioned anger by freezing Hanta in a giant ice prison. Everyone watches in disbelief of Shoto's power, and then Midnight confirms that Hanta is immobilized, giving Shoto the win.

Midnight: Sero, can you move?

Sero: O-Of course not... Ow...

Midnight: Sero is immobilized! Todoroki advance to the second round!

Shoto: Sorry, I went overboard. I was angry.

Shoto apologizes to Hanta for going overboard, blaming it on his anger. He uses his left arm to melt away the ice, and Sora notices that Shoto looks immensely sad.

Sora(mind): You and I are no different after all.

Once the massive amount of ice Shoto created is cleared from the stadium, the third match in the first bracket of the finals tournament begins. The bout is between Sora Uzumaki from Class 1-A and Denki Kaminari from Class 1-A.

Present: So on to the next match! The boy who had reached second, then first place on the prelim! The boy who had won first on the entrance exams! The man with unpredictable fighting style! From the Hero Course, it's Sora Uzumaki!

Himawari: Good luck, Big Bro!

Present Mic: Vs— Sparking Killing Boy! From the Hero Course, it's Denki Kaminari! Start!

Kaminari: I'll finish the match will be over in a second! Sora! I won't let you do anything else!

Sora: Oh...

It was pretty weird to saying such things when the match had already begun. Not only it gave time for Sora to prepare and underestimating your opponent will led to Kaminari's Downfall.

Kaminari: Indiscriminate Shock... 1.3 Million Volts!

Denki starts the battle with his Indiscriminate Shock technique, but Sora slapped both hands together and he created a tornado of wind surrounding Sora's entire body inside the tornado. Sadly for Kaminari, Sora is a bad opponent for him. Not only in terms of combat but in the Quirk's nature itself. Lightning Element is weak against Wind Element, so it was only natural for Sora's wind barrier to deflect Kaminari's Shock Bolt.

And using the wind to block the lightning, Sora went and created two clones. He then uses his lethal moves called Fusha Stream that allows him to fly towards his opponent in a fast pace and closes in on Kaminari right away.

Sora: First rule in battle, don't let yourself be open to attack. This was your downfall, Kaminari.

Kaminari: Geh!

Sora: Wind Style, Gale Palm!

With that blow, Kaminari was immediately blown out of the arena.

Present Mic: It was over in an instant! I'll say it once more! An instant!

Midnight: Uzumaki advanced to the second round!

Seeing this the people cheered once again. Some of the pro heroes were in awe by Sora's performance since it reminded them about Yellow Gale and White Kunoichi's fighting style. A ferocious yet lethal martial arts player. Naruto martial arts combined with Hinata's Gentle Fist. The crowd is impressed with Sora's performance, and Mt. Lady calls Sora the perfect sidekick for both her and Kamui Woods, but he only responds by telling her to get back to work.

Himawari: Ahaha! Big Bro won! Big Bro won! He was amazing!

Hinata: Yeah! He's got perfect timing in his Gentle Fist.

Izuku takes notes on her and starts to annoy Katsuki and his classmates with his muttering. Ochako stops him by telling him to relax, and then he decides to share his notes on her Zero Gravity Quirk.

Present Mic: Now, it's time for the 4th match! We're just gonna keep rolling along! Rush headlong towards the top! It's like he's the epitome of the middle of the pack! From the Hero course, it's Tenya Iida! Vs— The assassin from Class B! Pretty things have thorns, you know! From the Hero course, it's Ibara Shiozaki!

Present Mic introduces Ibara as an "assassin" which she takes exception to, and decides to correct him. She claims that it is her humble quest to spread good across the world, and that she would never kill her opponent. The matches resume with the next one on one of the 4th match: Tenya Iida vs Ibara Shiozaki.

Tenya: Recipro...

Ibara tries to attack using her vines, but Tenya opens up the battle using his Recipro Burst and quickly pushes her out of bounds to win the match.

Tenya: Burst!

Midnight: Shiozaki is out of bounds! Iida wins the match!

Sora whom had returned to the stands watch the fight and he too was taking note just like Izuku on Iida's speed. To him, Iida's speed is equal to that of Sora's Fusha Stream.

Sora(mind): I guess I can't win with brute force when it comes to that.

As Sora takes notes on Iida, Ochako decides to silently leave the stands. Mina Ashido and Yuga Aoyama duel in the fifth contest. Tsuyu roots for Mina, while Minoru pleads for Yuga to knock her clothes off. Izuku believes Mina is at a disadvantage due to Yuga's ranged Quirk, but Mina knows his weakness because the two were a team during the Battle Trial. Yuga rapidly fires his beam at Mina, but she slides swiftly across the ring to evade his lasers using her acid Quirk. Yuga gets a stomach ache after shooting off a large beam and Mina uses this opening to melt Yuga's belt and uppercut him. Yuga is knocked unconscious and Mina moves on to the next round.

Midnight: Aoyama has fainted! Ashido advances to the second round!

Present Mic: Aoyama's knocked out! Ashido's easy victory is indisputable!

Tsuyu: Amazing, Mina!

Sora: Despite the disadvantage in Quirk, she has great physical abilities.

The sixth contest begins at once, with Sarada facing off against Momo.

Present Mic: Now, we've got no time to lose! Let's move on to the 6th match! A girl with super human strength and charging electricity of offense and defense! From the Hero course, it's Sarada Uchiha! Vs— All purpose Creation! She was admitted through recommendations, so her abilities are certified! From the hero course, it's Momo Yaoyorozu!

Tsuyu: Sora, what do you think about this match?

Sora: Time will be the key in this match.

Tsuyu: Time?

Sora: With Sarada's strength and the speed to unleashed her lightning, she will definitely go for a preemptive strike. Momo's greatness weakness is that it took at least 2 seconds to use her Creations, 2 seconds will be too long for someone like Sarada. The only chance for Momo to win is that she needs to think and create in a less than a split second of time before Sarada's strike.

Tsuyu then remembered during the Quirk assessment test that Sarada was ranked first when it comes to speed. Her reaction time is simply out of this world, and her strength is beyond that. Both Sora and Tsuyu turned their gaze back to the arena and saw Momo nervously contemplates her strategy, but the fight suddenly begins and Sarada uses her super human strength to attack her with a ferocious strikes.

Sarada: Cha-Nara!!

Momo is able to create a simple shield to block Sarada's punch, but her shield immediately bend by the ferocity of Sarada's strength. And not only that, Momo's hand immediately went numb by just one attack.

Momo(mind): What ridiculous strength! I can't collect my thoughts!

Sarada continues to focuses her attacks on Momo's shield pushing her back even further before stopping her attack. Momo realizes that and started to create a weapon before Midnight stop her.

Midnight: Yaoyorozu! Out of bounds! Uchiha advances to the second round!

It was then Momo noticed that she was pushed out of bounds, ending the match rather quickly.

Sakura: Yeah, all right! Cha!

Sarada: Mom...

Sarada was embarrassed when she heard her mother's voice on the stand.

Present Mic: A completely overwhelming victory! Uchiha's strength! Too strong! Overwhelmingly strong!

Sarada: Momo...

Momo is disappointed with her loss, believing she never got to show off her skills as she left. Sarada couldn't say anything and she left too. Then she unexpectedly encountered Sora waiting for her inside.

Sora: Great match.

Sarada: Yeah. But I felt like I hurt Momo's confidence.

Sora: True, but that is something that she needs to overcome on her own. Only then can a person improve.

Sarada: You truly are— But yeah, you're right.

As the seventh match between Eijiro and Tetsutetsu begins, Sora and Sarada happens to stumbled upon Ochako in the waiting room.

Ochako: Good work, Sarada.

Sarada: Ochako!

Sora: What happened to you? Your brow's all wrinkled!

Ochako: My brow? Oh, it's just my nerves... Must've reached my brow.

Sarada: Well you're up against Firecracker, after all...

Ochako: Yeah, I'm really scared. But you know, after seeing  both your matches, Sora... Sarada...

Sora: Us?

Izuku: Uraraka!

Ochako: Deku! Huh? You don't want to watch the other's matches?

Tenya and Izuku joins them since Eijiro's fight is dragging on, with the two consistently trading blows using their similar Quirks.

Ochako: Then next... soon...

Tenya: But, well, I don't think even Bakugo would use a full-strength explosion on a girl...

Sora, Sarada, Izuku: He would.

All three of them said at the same time.

Sarada: Everyone's trying to become number one to make their dreams come true. Regardless of who they are including myself, no one would think about holding back.

Izuku: You've helped me so much, Uraraka. That's why I thought maybe I could help you a little. A plan to use your Quirk against Kacchan—

Sora: Izuku, no. You can't do that.

Izuku points out that Katsuki will use his full power to defeat Ochako, and offers her a strategy to beat him. However, Sora stops him. He couldn't allow Izuku to help Ochako, and both Izuku and Tenya were surprised by this. But on the other hand Sarada realized why Sora stopped him.

Izuku: Huh? Why?

Sora: Just like Sarada had said, everyone's want to become number one. In this match, we need to overcome this challenge by our own strength. If Ochako accepts that, it wouldn't be a victory using her own strength.

Hearing this, Ochako smiles and agree.

Ochako: Thanks, Deku. But Sora is right. You guys are amazing. I keep seeing more and more amazing sides to you all. During the cavalry battle, I thought it'd be easier to team up with friends, but now that I think about it, I might've been trying to rely on you three, Sora, Sarada, Deku. So it made me feel a bit ashamed of myself.

Izuku: Uraraka...

Ochako: That's why it's fine. Everyone's facing the future and trying their hardest. That means we're all rivals, right? That's why...

Ochako looked back at them and gave them a thumbs up while also looking nervous.

Ochako: Let's meet in the finals!

On the battlefield, after striking one another over and over again, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu knock each other out.

Midnight: Both contestants down! It's a draw! In the case of a draw, after they recover, the winner will be determined by a simple contest, like arm wrestling.

Midnight affirms that the match is a draw and the winner will be decided after the next match via an arm wrestling contest. Both contestants are hauled off on stretchers, and the next two participants take the field for the final fight of the first bracket: Ochako Uraraka versus Katsuki Bakugo.

Tsuyu: Next might be the most disturbing match-up.

Jiro: I almost don't want to watch...

Sora:...

Sarada:...

Izuku:...

Tenya:...

The quartet that was the most closest to Ochako didn't say anything as they watched Ochako walk out to the arena. All they could do is wish her luck and do her best since her opponent won't be holding back.

Present Mic: The 8th and last match of the 1st round! He was kind of famous in middle school! This isn't the face of a regular person! From the Hero course, it's Katsuki Bakugo! Vs— She's the one I'm rooting for! From the Hero course, It's Ochako Uraraka!

The two stare at one another before Present Mic voices echoed signaling the match.

Present Mic: 8th match, start!
