Araon leaned forward at the prow of the ship, trying to see farther into the canal's flow. Finally giving up, he decided to explore the ship. Made of elegant and carefully polished wood, the whole ship was covered in designs and carvings of all colors. Other than a self-moving wheel and a few cracked barrels at the bottom of the ship, the intricate object held nothing inside. It turned a corner and bashed into a rocky shore. Araon ran back to the front, expecting to see a crack or hole in the front of the ship, but it was I damaged. A force pushed him off the front, revealing a man with a jackal's head at an unusually large scale. He seemed to be waiting. The scale creaked into an almost straight position, and the jackal headed man made a gesture with his hand. Turning, Araon saw the boat drift away from the shore. And he knew it wasn't coming back.
