Spring is Enzo's least favourite season, something about pretty flowers and cute, baby animals not being his style. Enzo is more of a Winter person, the cold enveloping him like warmth does to others.

"How ironic that you're leaving on Aalayah's birthday," Morgan says, breaking the silence, "You're missing out on free pizza."

"And Enzo and I can't go either," Gabriel pipes up. "We live in another town."

"I feel guilty about it," Saad sighs, watching the grey and white clouds mold into each other. "But I can't do anything about it."

"Everyone is going to be too sad about you leaving to celebrate my birthday," Aalayah walks up to the group of friends and sit's next to Morgan. "Ha, they'll be too Saad."

"That wasn't funny."

"Thanks."

An awkward silence comes back until Gabriel shouts.

"I can't believe it!" He shouts, making the rest of the group jump or shake their heads. "Aalayah, you'll never guess what."

"You're right," Aalayah folds her arms, annoyed that she nearly jumped off her seat. "I'm not going to guess."

"There's going to be a K-Pop festival in the Philippines, and around when I'm going too," Gabriel smiles, his phone shaking in his hand. "I-"

"No phones at school," one of the dinner ladies snaps, snatching Gabriel's phone. "You can have this after school."

Once she had left everyone burst out laughing.

"They're probably too poor to get a phone themselves," Aalayah smirks, before turning to Gabriel. "Bad luck."

"My mother is going to kill me," Gabriel whines. "I can't believe she took my phone."

"If this is your first time having your phone taken off you then they don't tell your parents," Morgan smiles, remembering all the times her phone has been taken off her. "When Aalayah and I got our phones taken off us Aalayah had to wait all weekend for hers whilst I got mine back at the end of the day."

"I still haven't forgiven you for that," Aalayah grumbles, folding her arms. "You should have been a true friend and got my phone too."

"Look at the lovebirds,"  Tobias puts a hand on Aalayah's shoulder, looking at Ellis and Murray. "Want to place a bet on who tops?"

"Ella and Murray is where the real ship is," Morgan grins as Ella punches Murray's shoulder. "The modern Romeo and Juliet."

"Stop placing your straight ships over my gay ones," Tobias pokes Morgan's nose. "Ellis and Murray are obviously crushing on each other."

"Isn't it a bit weird to ship your own friends together?" Enzo asks, sucking his yoghurt. "They would be offended if they found out."

"We have been shipping Brent and Morgan together for years and you never said anything," Aalayah points out, both Brent and Morgan look up. "You were totally into shipping them."

"Hasn't our ship died yet?" Morgan whines, looking over to Brent. "It makes our friendship awkward if you're always shouting 'brogan' all the time."

"You mean," Aalayah gulps before saying, everyone already has their heads in their hands. "Hasn't your ship sunk yet?"

"That doesn't count," Enzo ignores Aalayah's hysterical laughing. "That's a girl and a boy."

"What are you talking about?" Brent finally says something. "We've been shipping you and Saad for ages."
