Floryn was venturing the forest, checking up on the state of the flowers and trees and making sure they were lively and healthy. This has been a habit of hers for years now. Her old home-- The Oasis-- was filled with greenery, so when she had to move to town to attend school, the first thing she did once she settled all her things to her place was to visit the local forestry. It was the place she felt most at 'home', despite how small the place is compared to the forest in Oasis.
She was thinking about visiting her old home once she finally graduates from highschool. She really wants to see her father again. She's sure Belerick have missed her greatly, just as much as she missed him. Her father couldn't really join her to town, since the Oasis wouldn't be able to sustain itself without either one of them to keep it healthy. She wonder how he's doing now...
Floryn was startled out of her thoughts when she heard a noise nearby. It sounded like someone groaning in pain, which alerted her. She walks barefoot towards the noise, gesturing at a crystal hued, floating cat-like creature, "Let's go Dew!" her companion meows at her, following suit.
Finding the source of the noise, Floryn was met by a cloaked figure against a tree, hunching over in pain, one hand clutching their wrist while the other sheds red tears. They were wounded, and if the bloody cut on their right hand wasn't enough of a hint then maybe the person gritting their teeth in pain while their hand shook was. Floryn approaches the cloaked figure, assessing the wound. It didn't seem that severe, but she really needed to fix it quickly before it gets infected.
The person must've been too focused on their wound that they failed to notice Floryn in front of them 'til she spoke. "You're wounded." The figure— who seemed startled by her presence —lets go of their bloody hand and aims their other hand at her, shooting out conjurated shards in her direction. Floryn gasps, covering her face with her hands to save herself from the sharp objects. Some of the shards weren't able to hit her, but a few stray ones managed to scratch her cheek along with the arms she raised to cover her face with.
"Who are you?" The cloaked figure says coldly. Their voice was deep, almost guttural.
Floryn drops one of her hands to her side while the other lays where her heart is. "My name is Floryn. I'm sorry for startling you. I heard someone in pain and came here to check." She looked like a gentle, worried mother who just found out her son was being bullied at school. "May I check your wound?"
The cloaked figure tsks at this. "I don't need your help. Now get you and your tinker bell get-up out of here." he didn't seem to trust her, which was understandable. You aren't supposed to immediately trust a person you just meet, in the middle of a forest at that too. But Floryn didn't know about things like that, so she persists.
"No."
"What?" he says in disbelief.
"I said no. I am not gonna leave until I help you." As kind and gentle as a dandelion flower Floryn is known to be, she was just as stubborn as a cleaver plant too. She was gonna help this man, and nothing was gonna change that.
Seeing the determination in the pinkette's eyes, the cloaked man just sighs in defeat and leans back on the bark of the tree, presenting his bloody hand to her. Floryn gently smiles and crouches in front of him, holding his wrist so she can inspect the wound further. Unbeknownst to her, crouching down lead the leaf-like skirt of her dress to hike up her thighs, leaving her underwear in display to the cloaked man before her. The man looks away respectfully, pink dusting his cheeks.
Now that Floryn was closer to the man, she could see a scar on the right of his chiseled jawline. She wanted to inspect it closer out of curiousity and ask him where he got it from, but she shook her head and gave her full attention to the man's wound instead. "If you don't mind, may I know how you got wounded? It seems quite deep, though it's not that severe."
"Some random wolf scratched me out of nowhere while I was practicing my shard throwing."
Floryn hums softly as she inspects his hand, "That's odd. The cut looks like it came from a sharp weapon, not a wolf."
Oh, the man thinks to himself, she's smarter than she lets on.
"Enough about that. Didn't you say you were gonna treat my wound?" He tries to change the subject, which worked because the pinkette immediately perks up and lets out an Oh!
She raises a hand that wasn't holding the man's wrist and points it at a passing frog. "Blossoms for you!" her hand glowed like a diamond as a blue ray of light travels from the tip of her fingers to the frog, which the frog's body then absorbs. Not a second after another ray of light travelled from the frog and to the cloaked man's wounded hand. (including the small wounds Floryn didn't know she had on her cheek and arms. The ones she got from the man's shards.)
The wound on the man's hand closed and all that was left was a scar and some speckles of blood. He sat there mesmerized. The magic of healing wasn't unheard of, no, not at all. There were a good number of healers all around the world that could heal just like her, if not, better than her. It's just the way she looked while she heals that enraptured him. She looked so gentle and happy while she did it. It's like helping people was like second nature to her— something she genuinely loved doing, and that made her attractive for him.
Before he could stop himself, he mutters, "You know, you're really pretty."
Ah.
Floryn flicks her gentle, teal eyes from his now-healed-wound to meet his silverish-cyan ones. "I'm sorry, I couldn't really hear you. Would you mind repeating that?" The man slightly fumbles and failed to notice that locks of his silver hair was now visible for her to see.
"U--Uhm. I said I need to go because I need to pee." Nice. Real mature you. He scolds himself in embarassment for his childish wording. Floryn giggles at this and lets go of his wrist.
"Mhmm, I've already healed your wound. I won't hold you off." The cloaked man stands up and offers his hand to gently help Floryn up. She accepts the gesture and takes his hand. Before she can say another word, and maybe ask for the cloaked man's name, he 'casually' bolts away from her. She was unaware of his flushed cheeks as he ran.
Floryn wasn't offended that he left so suddenly. She just hoped they'll meet again, and once that time comes maybe she might be able to ask him for his name. He seemed quite nice.
Hearing a meow behind her, Floryn looks at her back and realizes that Dew was hiding behind her this whole time. "oh, Dew, you're so silly! I've been silently wondering where you were this whole time." she laughs gleefully as Dew floats up and rub their cheeks against hers in apology. "alright alright, let's go home before it gets dark. There's school tomorrow." Dew's meow sounds like a complain. It seems like they hate school.
Before Floryn could walk away, she noticed something glint in the corner of her eye. On the ground lay a diamond-shaped piece of metal. It must've been from the cloaked man's clothes. Now that she thinks about it, the clothes the man wore looked like they were of high quality. She picks up the metal and inspects it. This looks quite expensive. I should keep this and give it back to him when I see him again...
With a goal set in mind, the pinkette asked Dew to hide the metal for her til she finds a suitable placeholder in their home, which her companion happily agrees to before swallowing said metal, magically hiding it who-knows-where.

"What's with the necklace, Flor? It's rare to see you wear accessories that don't relate to trees, flowers and all that stuff." Claude, one of Floryn's friends, asked. He was chewing on a sandwhich when he suddenly lets out a loud, dramatic gasp. "wait— oh my god. no. no way. don't tell me... you're becoming emo?" fake despair overtook his face, mouth wide-agape and full of sandwhich.
"Leave her alone, idiot." A blonde-haired girl with medium length hair smacks the back of Claude's head, leading to pieces of sandwhich falling from his mouth to the table, followed by a loud Ouch! All of Floryn's friends lets out a simultaneous sound of disgust at the pieces of sandwhich that littered their usual lunch spot, including Claude. Floryn just laughs softly.
"Ewwww, the crumbs look like my grandpa's old dog." Claude comments as he looks at the mess Edith (ahem--claude) made on the table. "why did you even do that, Edith!? You wasted my cute little precious olive ham and cheese sandwhich."
"Nothing that involves olive deserves to be called cute nor precious." Ruby states as-a-matter-of-factly while raising a pointy finger with her free hand. Dyrroth, who's currently holding her other hand, nods in agreement. His head was on Ruby's shoulder too. Claude halfheartedly glares at the couple, offended by their 'I hate olives' campaign. Olives were beautiful in their own way, and if these two lovebirds refused to acknowledge that then he'll spread his "olives are great' campaign somewhere else, one way or another.
"I still find it very unbelievable that Ruby and Dyrroth are together now. It's like they were just out to for each other's throats yesterday." Claude, always the drama-queen. "when will I have my own enemies to lovers fate, huh? How did you two manage to do it! Tell me! I'm so jealous."
Claude had a point. Dyrroth and Ruby were all over each other's throats a few weeks ago until one maaagical day they suddenly became all lovey dovey. Their friend group was suspicious at first, except Claude. Claude only had slap-worthy thoughts run his head when he thought up of situations on how the two would've had immediately became lovey-dovey with each other.
Floryn softly giggles at Claude's usual childish antics. "well, according to some books I've read, people tend to fall in love with people they dislike the same as people who falls in love with people they like. It's because you're gonna realize stuff and learn more about that person you hate. The first things you're gonna learn about are their flaws, but as time passes by, you'll soon realize that their flaws isn't the only thing about them. You'll start seeing their beauty too. Then, pew pew pew, you fall in love!" Dew nods agressively besides her. So did Dyrroth and Ruby, who smiled sweetly at each other for coincidentally nodding at the same time. Dew was focusedly nibbling on a flower that Floryn gave them for lunch. The creature weren't paying anyone any mind 'til Floryn spoke.
"Floryn, I'm sorry for always teasing you for being a bookworm. Please tell me more. I'm so tired of being single." Claude begs. Before Floryn could answer, someone tapped her on the shoulder.
A silver-haired man glanced down at Floryn, his cold, stoney expression contrasting her bright yet gentle ones. "Oh! Hello, Aamon. What can I do for you?" She missed the way Aamon's eyes quickly dropped to the necklace on her chest then back to her eyes. Dew was finally finished with their flower. They were content and was about to go back and hide in the seed Floryn always carries by her hips when they saw Aamon. The little creature's eyes widened in recognition at the sight of the man. Though it seems Floryn was oblivious to who he was.
"Salutations, Ms. Eidos." Aamon did a little bow before returning to his proud form: head high and back straight. He looked so composed, like a noble gentleman. He is one, but Floryn didn't know that. (a/n: eidos means 'kind' in greek.)
"I told you, Floryn is fine." she smiles. "So, what brings you here, kind sir?"
Aamon grabs something from the inner pocket of his school blazer. It was a cyan flower with purple tips. "This fell from your head earlier, so I wanted to return this to you." Floryn looks at the flower in recognition and joy. She was about to grab it from his hand when he insisted he put it back on her hair instead.
Floryn smiled at Aamon gratefully, "thank you for going through the effort of returning the flower to me. These flowers are very precious to me. They can only be found in my hometown. I would've been very devastated if they were to disappear."
"Anything for you, Ms. Ei— Floryn." A small warmth filled Aamon's eyes.
"Surely that wasn't the only thing you came here for?" The question seemed annoying on paper. If any other person asked him that, he would've gotten irked. But it was coming from Floryn, and all he could sense was genuinety.
"Yes. Other than the flower, I only came here to confirm something."
"Oh! That's great. Did you manage to confirm it?"
Aamon takes a quick glance at Floryn's necklace once again before answering, "Absolutely."

A/N: My first fanfic! Whew.
I cannot write for shit but I decided my hand at doing so.
Of course it just had to be Aamon x Floryn (with Dyrroth x Ruby sprinkled here and there) cuz these are my fave ships.
Please be wary when reading this book! There's gonna be some mature themes, I don't know when but there's definitely gonna be one. or two. or three. or a million. oh and a lot of cursing. and sex jokes. but you guys probably already knew that from the way i write alone xD
I'm gonna put warnings for the matured theme chapters though so don't worry, pure readers <3
anyways! dont be afraid to tell me what you think. :)
