ADFFHUJ, sorry for the late of updates. Since it's summer, I just sleep and relax and get lazy to write lmao. Today's topic relates to a situation that I recently went through. I never knew this was a problem in the community but apparently it is (you guys should lmk if you've seen this happen or if you yourself have experienced it before).

So I've already talked about headcanons and how they're okay only if you don't call it "canon" and force people to have the same thinking as you. That idea applies to this topic too.

Some people actually believe that a femboy (or basically a guy who's feminine) = always a trans person.

A guy can be feminine if he wants to WITHOUT being a trans person. Yeah, that means he can wear makeup and wear skirts and dresses and still be a guy. Yeah that also means he can be feminine and be straight. Some people think a femboy is lying when he says that he's straight.

My own experiences are different obviously, but I can confirm that a femboy can be straight lol. I had an acquaintance back in one of my college classes and he was sharing his story about how he hates it when people don't believe that he's straight just because he's a femboy.

With Genshin, apparently some people believe that Venti is trans just because he's a femboy..... this is really only a problem because those people call others "homophobic" and "transphobe" when someone doesn't see Venti as trans.

Venti is a feminine guy. That's it. Yeah he has a more feminine face and outfit, but so what? He's still a guy who rocks the femininity.

Once again - have your headcanons if you want. Nothing's wrong with that because for a lot of people, headcanons make them feel comforted and safe. That's cool and I'm all for it. Just don't go around and use labels that don't even apply.... and don't claim "Venti is a trans person" as canon when it's not lmao.

Implications in the game (whatever it is) doesn't mean it's canon.

Honestly the sexuality of the characters is a big problem in Genshin community. People claim it's canon since it's "hinted/implied" in the game. Again - cool if you think Yae is lesbian. It isn't canon. Let people see Yae as straight if they want.

I also thought of how when it comes to a girl who's a tomboy (at least in video games), people usually don't automatically assume that the girl is a trans person (from my own experiences). A part of it comes from how it's seen as more acceptable in society for girls to wear "boy clothes" but if a boy were to wear "girl clothes", then that's not okay and the boy is seen as "gay" or "a girl".

(Btw for context: this player just randomly asked to join my world and I accepted. A Venti showed up and the first thing they said was "hi do you believe in rights for trans ppl? I said yes and they said "ok good bc venti is trans and he/she would be sad if u said no". Then I asked if they can explain about Venti being trans).

We just talked about other random things after that and then they left. The player wasn't mean or rude but they were saying some really ridiculous things that made me so confused lmao.
