*Third person, no one's P.O.V., streets of Liyue*

Thomas- I can't believe her. How could she spend all our mora in one night? What's so important that she would so something like this?

The male grumbles out loud as he wanders the streets of Liyue holding an empty sack salty over how his companion spent all their money leaving them dirt broke.

Thomas- She's rich and she knows the value of money surely she would've been wise enough to stop once the bag was getting light this isn't like her. 

He continues thinking aloud before stopping in his tracks as he comes to a sudden realization.

Thomas- 'I have no idea where to find the bank here, surely someone can help point me in the right direction though.'

The male thinks before walking up to a random citizen and asking for directions to his destination. Getting the directions the male thinks the citizen for their kindness and follows the path the man set him on towards the bank of Liyue. Walking with a pep in his step and humming a merry tune the male is unaware of the blonde charging straight at him looking down at a piece of paper also unaware of him until-*BANG!!!*. The two crash straight into each other knocking the another down onto the ground and holding their heads in pain over the collision. Opening his eyes ready to burst a lung over this the male quickly catches his voice as he recognizes the girl before him- It was Lumine and her tasty looking companion.....Pie-Mon it was! Scrambling to his feet he offers the now blushing girl a helping hand up and helps dust her off before clearing his throat and speaking in his soothing gentlemanly voice.

Thomas- Wassup blondie?

Lumine- Oh hey......Thomas right?

Thomas- That's right, I see you still haven't eaten her yet

He says glancing towards Paimon who simply folds her arms in front of chest and turns around refusing to speak with him as the others have a merry laugh. Clearing his throat again the male notices the paper in her hands and asks her about it.

Lumine- Oh this? It's just a supply list I need for the proper burial of Rex Lapis a man named Zhongli put me in charge of it.

Thomas- A burial for a god? That's cool.

Lumine- Yeah but it's also kind of a bother

Thomas- how so?

Lumine- Well most the items on this list are kind of a pain to get and the others are expensive and since Zhongli is clearly broke he's making me pay for all of it.

Thomas- Well maybe I could help out?

He offers before feeling the girl grab him and is forced to look directly at her large happy smile.

Lumine- You'd do that!?!

Thomas- S-sure anything for a friend-WOAH!

The male exclaims as she suddenly throws him back only to pull him back into a tight embrace her head snuggled in his chest his heart going crazy before the girl pulls away and settles herself back down.

Lumine- Okay I've already gotten a few of the items so the first thing we need now is.....A kite!

Thomas- Kite? Like the fun toys children play around with? How does that play a role in the funeral of a god?

Paimon- According to Mr, Zhongli kites also bear spiritual and symbolic meaning in Liyue so it seems fitting to paimon 

Lumine- Speaking of which Zhongli said he'd meet us there so if you want to say hi then here's your chance

Thomas- Cool, lead the way will ya?

He tells her before following the two through Liyue harbor chatting over small talk and having a good old time before they reach their destination in no time at all. Stopping near a small  tsble the two stand there and wait for the last person to arrive whilst falling back into small talk.

Thomas- So, any luck on finding your brother?

Lumine- No....I've been putting up posters in case people recognize him by the pictures or description but so far i've got nothing. Doesn't help that setting up small poster across an entire city alone is seriously time consuming.

Thomas- If you want after we're done here I could help set up posters with you

Lumine- Really?

Thomas- Of course

He tells her with a smile which the girl gladly returns feeling her heart ache and crave as she stares up at the male. Hearing footsteps approaching the two turn around to find the man of the hour himself. Zhongli.

Thomas- 'Woah, I'm not gay but that guy is nice'

The male thinks making sure to keep it to himself as he stares at the approaching dark haired suit wearing man. Stopping in front of them he has a short conversation with the girl and fairy over the kites before turning to the make gazing a him with his radiant eyes.

Thomas- 'gee and I thought my eye was bright this guy could light a whole damn city with those peepers' 

Zhongli- Ah and who might you be my boy?

Thomas- Thomas, Thomas Bracksen 

He tells the man hiding his hand out for a shake which he responds by doing so.

Zhongli- Pleasure to meet you I am Zhongli

Thomas- The pleasures all mine-So! Lumine told me this whole rex lapis funeral crap was all your idea. Do you have some sort of connection with the guy?

Zhongli- Eh......something like that. But! Enough about me we are here for rex lapis and to honor him for all he's done for Liyue.

He states before turning to the frail old woman behind the counter and the two fall into a rather long conversation about kites. Listening in on their conversation the males ears suddenly perk up once he hears mention of the archons leaning in with interest the males curiosity is immediately shot down and trampled on as he realizes they're only speaking of the different details that went into the different kites to represent the archons and their varying personalities. Pulling back in a huff of disappointment the male crosses his arms and waits patiently while the continue speaking until finally the kite is all set up and ready to be paid for. Waiting for the man to pay Thomas is then seen standing there for several moments as the man pats around his pockets before turning to face the three.

Zhongli- Ehe, you wouldn't to have any mora on you would you?

Thomas- Sorry bro, I'm just as broke as you are

Paimon- Seriously again!?!

Lumine- Honestly what is with you and your financial issues?

The two speak sounding rather annoyed giving the male the impression that this is a common trope with the man and makes mental note to never go shopping alone with him before hearing a fourth voice call behind them offering to help and turns to find a light brown haired, blue eyes and rather tall young man walk up to them wearing a simple grey suit and tattered red cape. Watching him walk up Thomas watches closely at his seemingly friendly smile analyzing it to the last detail as he's seen this facade FAR to many times now then watches as he almost to happily pays for the kite warning them not to trust Zhongli with money, the male immediately doesn't trust him and makes sure to keep a close eye on him before watching as he turns to him giving off that same stupid toothy smile.

Childe- Oh hey there! I don't believe we've met my name is Childe with an E

Thomas- Thomas

The male says bluntly watching as "Childe with an E" holds his hand out looking for a shake........He doesn't give him one. Pulling his arm back and lightly glaring at the male he continues speaking.

Childe- Gee way to leave a man hanging this how you greet all the people you meet?

Thomas- 'nah just the clearly slimy and untrustworthy ones' Perhaps, what's it to you?

Lumine- Thomas Play nice!

The girl scolds lightly smacking his shoulder pulling him back and apologizing to guy who simply waves it off with another idiotic smile and stupid laugh before continuing.

Childe- So how are the preparations coming along for Rex Lapis?

Zhongli- Just splendid actually. Now that the kite is bought our next step is to hire some extra....muscle I should say. Do, does anyone have mora they are willing to part with?

Thomas- Seriously already again?

Lumine- best to just get used to it. He's not gonna stop.

Childe- If I may be of assistance I'll gladly lend you some mora to help pay off any fees for the muscle.

The man says handing them all a large bag of mora with a laugh over their reactions to all the money before turning and walking off with a wave though not going far as he quickly ducks into an alley and peers around the corner watching the four walk off his eyes focused on one in particular.

Childe- 'I don't like the way that guy was looking at me almost like he knew who I was and who I work for, I'll be sure to keep a close eye on him'

He thinks cautiously before shoving his hands in his pockets and walking off whistling a simple foreboding tune. Back to the four we find them going up and down the harbor hiring three different men all working different tasks in preparation for Rex Lapis's Funeral. First a man named Tic assigned with collecting 50 branches and 20 stacks of timber who they pay 10,000 mora for then a man named Tac who was going to do a full day of odd jobs at Yujing terrace for the sake of 25k and lastly a man named Toe who-*Record scratch*

Thomas- Okay hold the fuck on, are these guys seriously named Tic-Tac-Toe? Jesus Christ what the hell kind of names are those? Anyways back to the story

Who is assigned with collecting five crystal flies for another 15 grand. Paying all the men their fees the four turn and happily split the rest of the money amongst them all. A whole whopping heap of absolutely goddamn nothing.

Thomas- 10k for collecting branches? What is this the apocalypse?

Lumine- seriously and crystal flies are all over the place and easy enough to collect why did we pay him 15,000 dollars?

Paimon- I know it's almost like a strange guy in an alternate dimension is writing this whole thing out and doing all the math over those guys's pays to make sure it's a perfect fifty grand leaving us with nothing left as if leaving us all with no money will have some sort of affect later on in the chapter of a book of fan-fiction he might be writing.

Lumine-.......You've been eating magic matsutake again haven't you?

Paimon- ehehehehe

The fairy giggles nervously tapping her finger tips together suspiciously avoiding eye contact as the god of man laughs over their strange banter finding it amusing before speaking up regarding the next item on the list.

Zhongli- The next item we need is some everlasting incense we can find it at Bubu Pharmacy 

Thomas- Bubu pharmacy? Like boo-boo? As in pain and injuries? Jesus christ these names are ridiculous 

The male chides following the others to "Bubu pharmacy" and within ten minutes they make it there and head inside to find it empty with a receptionist desk at the back. Glancing around they confirm no one is there and are ready to leave and come back later before they hear a quiet voice call.

???- Welcome to Bubu Pharmacy, how may I help you?

Needless to say the sudden etherial voice scared the others causing them to reel back in fright with paimon feeling extra scared now cowering behind the scientist. 

Thomas- Hey, what's the big deal!?!

Paimon- uh.....Paimon is just watching your back incase the ghost tries attacking from the rear

Thomas- Uh-huh

He stares not believing a word she says before the voice calls again and offers to help once more frightening the fairy even more so urging the others forward.

Paimon- Go on Paimon will be right behind you

She states with a shaky voice as the others cautiously walk up to the counter drawing their weapons in case of a fight. Hand tight around his blade the male motions for the others to hold back as he slowly peers over the desk to find a purple haired, pink eyed girl wearing dark blue clothing and a small hat behind it small enough to be completely concealed and when speaking give off the illusion that the voice it emanating from the walls. Sighing in relief the male puts his sword away and gives the others the all clear before they resume their reasons for being there.

Paimon- AHH! Wait, look at the talisman on her forehead!

The fairy shrieks pointing to the girls head and to find a small yellow talisman on her head with several Chinese kanjis and symbols across it.

Lumine- Wait these symbols could she be a........Zombie-

Thomas- AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO!!! Keep away Zombie you're not taking my beautiful beautiful brain!!!

The male shouts suddenly scaring everyone there as he backs up several feet holding his blade in one hand and clutching his head in a protective manner with the other. WatchIng him freak our the traveler gives him a deadpanned expression before speaking unamused.

Lumine- Thomas, she's a little girl if she tries to attack I'm sure you can take her

Thomas- Oh.....right. *Nervous and Embarrassed laughter* Sorry about that......carry on.

The male tells him glancing around the room not able to look them all in the eye over what just happened and hears them speak to the ghoul.

Zhongli- Hello um......little girl do you sell Everlasting Incense here?

Qiqi- Yes we do, do you have a prescription?

Zhongli- Prescription? Surely one is not needed for buying incense

Qiqi- No prescription No service sorry. Next.

Zhongli- Wait! Surely there is something else we can do are there any other ways of acquiring this incense?

Qiqi- Hmm......Okay. Qiqi will give you the incense even though you don't have a prescription but it return you must do something for Qiqi.

Thomas- Sounds fair to me

The male calls from the back of the shop and overhears the others making a deal with the young girl. One supply of Everlasting incense for Coco-Goat Milk. Walking out the shop and towards Mt. Tienheng where they'll supposedly find this thing the male can no longer keep his mouth shut and speaks up regarding what I'm sure everyone is thinking.

Thomas- The hell is a coco-goat?

Lumine- First I've heard of it, Zhongli?

Zhongli- I am familiar with many different animals across the land but even I have never heard tale of this "coco goat"

Thomas- then our best bet is to go to the mountain and kill every goat there then bring them all back and hope at least one is the right creature.

Lumine- sounds a little genocidal but it's the best plan we got I suppose come on lets speed up

*Time-Skip to the mountain because I refuse to write another basic expedition*

Zhongli- Ah, at last we've finally arrived and made it to the top

The man sighs as the walk across a stone platform and around a small building before turning to find a large crossbow looking machine placed at the edge of the platform overlooking the whole mountain range and which has seen better days. Walking up to the machine most gape in awe over the design and handy work put into it well all except one.

Thomas- Meh, it's alright I guess. Being built by an adeptus I was expecting a little more but whatever

He male states bot at all impressed by the machine in front of him before they finally notice it's busted up real good with several pieces missing and the pully system torn apart making it impossible to use in their quest for a creature that might not actually exist.

Paimon- Oh no it's broken now what do we do? Quick! Mr, Zhongli use your unlimited high-society knowledge powers!

Thomas- That won't be necessary allow me to take a look at it

The make quickly interjects walking up to the machine and giving it a good stare down analyzing the machine and noting all the pieces required to fix it before summoning a simple pen and paper writing a few things down on it and turning to the traveler and her flying snack.

Thomas- Here see if you can find me all these pieces and I should have this things fixed up faster then you can say emergency food.

Paimon- STOP IT!!!

Lumine- Come on Paimon let's go

The girl calls grabbing her put of the air and pulling her along side with her as they head off in search of the items leaving the two males alone. Suddenly thinking back to he question he asked the man upon first meet he realizes her never got a proper answer and decides to ask him once more.

Thomas- Hey you never really answered my question before but by going through such lengths for Rex Lapis's funeral surly you must've known the guy personally right?

Zhongli- Eh....something like that yes.

Thomas- Are you an adeptus?

Zhongli- Something of the sort. Think of me as an avid believer in rex lapis and the adeptus I have heard many great things about both and have lived to see my world grow and prosper around me knowing very little about the people who walk amongst me but knowing so much about the archons and rex lapis, after growing so attached to them wouldn't you feel obligated to give a proper funeral too?

Thomas- Yeah I guess I would. Huh, So Zhongli?

Zhongli- Yes?

Thomas- why are you lying to me nay the whole world?

Zhongli- What are you talking about?

Thomas- Don't play dumb with me I know you're rex lapis in disguise.

The male states giving the man a great spook and knocking him into a false look of shock as he tries to shake the male off but to no avail.

Zhongli- My dear boy I assure you that I am not Rex Lapis but merely a-

Thomas- Cut the shit old man! I know you're him!

Zhongli- But how?

Thomas- Easy. Back in Mondstadt I read all about how Archons will constantly come down to earth to walk amongst the mortals disguised as one of our own or even an animal at times. I also  noticed that you reeked of god like energy when I first met you and now that little story you told me was all the rest of the proof that I needed. Not understanding mortals even though you are supposedly one, knowing more about Rex Lapis and the Archons then any one on earth and lived long enough to see the world grow and advance in technological advancements but still look young and fresh you're an even worse liar than I am.

The male states tearing the man apart piece by piece with his words before the man sighs and admits defeat.

Zhongli- Okay you got me I am Rex Lapis

Thomas- I knew it!

Zhongli- But! You mustn't tell anyone about this!

Thomas- and why not? Everyone here in Liyue is torn apart and devastated over the supposed loss of their god who protected for several millennia and I know a certain Blue haired Adeptus who would be over the moon if she found out you were still alive and well.

Zhongli- Ganyu? Ah never mind about that you must know that I feigned my own death sure but I had my reasons for doing so

Thomas- and what's that?

Zhongli- What I told you was the truth I have lived countless millennia and watched many civilizations rise up and crumble to ash I have watched the mortals of this realm grow and laugh live and die but I have never truly experienced life for myself. I wish to walk amongst the earth as you do and discover the true beauty of life and mortality before finding myself at my death bed content with the life I lived and truly finally understanding my people before rising back to the heavens and becoming one with rex lapis again to forever watch and protect my people now with a new found respect and adoration.

He tells him as the make simply stands there in shock over his words and ponders what was just said for a moment before speaking.

Thomas- Oh wow, I-I guess I didn't think of it like that I'm so sorry. 

Zhongli- It is quite alright my boy for you did not know of my true intentions

Thomas- but surely It wouldn't hurt to tell a few people right? At least Ganyu she deserves to know you're alright after everything she's done for you standing by your side for many many years and remaining steadfast and loyal by your side through all you ups and downs.

Zhongli- you think it is easy lying to my loyal adepti like this, Especially Ganyu? There have been many times where I have seen her hurting in public and wanted so desperately to walk up to her and reassure her that I'm alright but I've held myself back every time for I cannot risk losing my mortality and worrying that someone will overhear which will only lead to high praise and worship like that of when I was a god. I apologize but I can't do that.

Thomas- I see.....

He replies with a cloudy look in his eyes before hearing footsteps approaching and looks up to find the two girls walking towards them arms full with supplies and various components. Dropping the pile down at his feet the girl breaths a sigh of relief.

Lumine- FINALLY!!! Do you have any idea how heavy that stuff was especially having to carry it up a mountain?

Thomas- Sorry can't talk gotta work 

He quickly states scooping the supplies into his as if they weigh nothing and quickly getting to work reattaching the pully system, reinforcing the base, sharpening the bolts, repairing the main circuits and many many more thing until after about two minutes the whole thing is not only looking rebuilt but also completely brand new and looks nothing like it did before now it looks like this:

Gaping at the new ballista in shock the three turn to the grinning male who's simply leaning against the thing looking like he owns the world before the archon speaks up.

Zhongli- What did you do? We were only turned away for a few moments how could you possibly do all this in such a short amount of time?

Thomas- Haha don't underestimate my genius. So wanna hear exactly what I did to this baby?

Paimon- Uh-Huh

The fairy mumble lightly before the male clasps his hands together and turns to the machine.

Thomas- Okay so first of all as you can clearly see I've made some serious upgrades to this thing gave it a Thomas Brand Make over if you will. Gone is that boring and old school wooden design now replaced with a sleek and sexy jet black metal frame, the basic pully system first reapaired now completely replaced with a laser framed aiming and reloading system, I also upgraded the scope to increase the zoom by a whopping 10,000% and increased the range to match that and lastly I replaced the basic wooden bolts with what I like to call hail mary's: they're basically laser infused bolts that explode on impact. 

He tells them as their jaws drop further and further to the ground with every word that comes put his mouth. Closing her mouth back up the traveler speaks.

Lumine- How? How! HOW ARE YOU THIS GOOD!?!

Thomas- Like I said don't underestimate my genius I may not be the most athletically capable person around, I may not be the most handsome, I may not be the most popular but if you need something built, repaired or are just looking to show off what your friend can do with a couple pieces of scrap metal and a handful of copper wiring *points to self* I'm your guy!

Zhongli- So i've noticed. Now let us look for this "cocogoat" 

The man as he walks up to the ballista and with instructions from the scientist learns how to zoom in and out and control said zoom. Peering through the scope he looks around for a solid three minutes before pulling back.

Zhongli- Nothing. No cocogoat in sight even at full zoom not even a regular goat either.

Paimon- Now what do we do?

Zhongli- The only thing we can do go back to Qiqi and explain-

???- Hey! Who the hell are you!?!

The four hear an angry voice call from below and peer down the edge of the platform to find a small band of treasure hoarders there glaring up at them before making their way up the mountain and stopping just in front of them.

Treasure Hoarder- So you gonna answer my question? Just who the hell are you?

Zhongli- I am Zhongli and these here are my companions, Lumine, Paimon and Thomas 

The man introduces them all holding his hand out towards the hoarder looking for a shake but receiving only a sharp slap to the wrist.

Treasure Hoarder- Whatever, what's the big idea here huh!?! My men just risked their lives to destroy that damn ballista and now you've gone and-HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!

The man suddenly shouts out loud as he looks past the groups shoulders to see the beast of a machine resting behind them all looking deadly as ever. Slowly backing up he's suddenly stopped as Zhongli speaks no longer sounding as friendly as before.

Zhongli- So you mean it was you who destroyed this ballista? And for what a handful of mora or treasure. Bah! Destroying the great legacy of an adeptus for your own monetary gain is truly despicable and Shalt be dealt with. Friends arm yourselves for battle!

Thomas- Way ahead of you bro

The male speaks slamming the ballista next to him on the side and it suddenly springs to life a laser pointed straight at the treasure hoarder group watching the machine in fear the men turn a bit to find the male glaring at them scaring them even mora than the machine.

Thomas- Here's the issue this ballista may have been prehistoric and totally outdated as all living hell but that doesn't matter to me. Now what does matter is you folk, I can't stand people who intentionally destroy and ruin machines for their own personal gain.

He speaks with venom in his voice as the machine beside him speaks.

Ballisa- Locking on to target *beep* *beep* *beep* Target locked awaiting confirmation to fire.

Glancing back down at the cowering treasure hoarders with a grin the men all start to panic as their leader tries one last time to save their skins.

Treasure Hoarder- Uh.....Mercy?

Thomas- Uh-No! FIRE!!!

He shouts and the machine immediately starts raining hell on the men as they all start scrambling away pushing each other aside looking for safety some even jumping off the edge of the platform hoping to land somewhere safe and far away. After only a couple seconds the area is treasure hoarder free and the male pats the machine contently.

Thomas- Good girl. So you were saying something earlier Zhongli?

Zhongli- Yes I think it is time we go back to BuBu pharmacy and explain how we could not find this cocogoat 

Thomas- lead the way then

*Time-skip back to BuBu Pharmacy*

Walking back into the pharmacy the quartet are immediately greeted by the young zombie girl who hoods her hands out expectingly only to put them back down as they shake their heads no at her and explain the situation.

Qiqi- No coco goat?

Zhongli- I'm afraid not young girl but tell me why are you so pent up on this coco goat milk?

Qiqi- Coco goat milk is so tasty way tastier then regular milk it make Qiqi happy and smile whenever she drinks it. Also Qiqi believes it to properly be called Coconut Milk.

She tells them as they all immediately gain a dead panned expression as they realize they just waited several hours of their time by going to that mountain. Huddling up the four decide who should tell her the truth before Lumine and Paimon agree to do it with the scientist excusing himself and goes to wait outside as he cannot bear to see the young girls world crumble before her. Waiting outside he soon encounters a green haired man with a snake wrapped around his shoulders who goes inside and overhears him having a conversation with the remaining three in the pharmacy before glancing to the side and immediately feels a sour feeling in his gut.

Childe- Oh hey there friend so we meet again huh?

Thomas- 'quite the observant one aren't ya?' Yeah

He speaks simply ignoring any and all other conversation starters the male has for him before he sigh in relief as the male steps inside the pharmacy leaving him alone. Then after several moments and a very annoying fit of laughter from the slime ball the four walk out of the pharmacy to the main square of Liyue to set everything up the scientist remaining in silence he whole time as he thinks about the tattered cape wearing man.

Thomas- 'that guy, that stupid toothy smile and his clear as day cruel intentions I don't care what all he done for us I don't trust him and the second he steps even a toe out of line it'll be curtains for him.'

Lumine- Thomas!

Thomas- Huh?

The male huh's questioningly as he turns to find the others standing several and asks what's wrong before the fairy answers him.

Paimon- Come on Mr, Zhongli just invited us out for a meal his treat can you believe it?

Thomas- No I can't. What's the catch old man?

Zhongli- No catch this is simply me returning a favor for helping prepare all the necessary components of this funeral. Come follow me.

The man calls leading them down a road to a small restaurant with outdoor which they help themselves to before dining on liyue delicacies the male stuffing himself silly as his stomach has no properly healed and he can finally eat spicy foods again. Shoving some mora food onto his plate he only half listens to the story a well dressed man tells them: Something something Ningguang something something papers can't listen too busy eating. After finishing their food the three thank Zhongli for the meal and are ready to head off before hearing a familiar voice call nearby.

Ganyu- Halt! By order of Liyue Qixing!

Thomas- Huh? Oh hey Ganyu!

Ganyu- Hello again Thomas enjoying the meal?

Thomas- Very so what brings you?

Ganyu- Her!

She states pointing directly at Lumine who points to herself looking for reassurance over this before the bluenette turns her gaze back to the scientist. 

Ganyu- And you.

Thomas- Uh, did I do something wrong? Is this about insulting rex lapis the other day?

Zhongli- 'What?'

Ganyu- No No nothing like that Ms, Ningguang wishes only to speak with you and has requested you meet her at the jade palace in the sky. She awaits you arrival.

The girl tells them before turning and disappearing from sight leaving them all alone to process what was just said. Deciding they don't really have a choice the three shrug, wave goodbye to Zhongli and head off towards the ballista once more hoping to use the scope in order to find a way up to the palace. Walking there they are surprised to see the area is crawling with Milileth all looking at the new ballista in shock over what must've happened over night before one turns around and spots the three.

Milileth- You there! This area is a no trespassing zone if you do not leave now we will have no choice but to use force!

Lumine- Wait! Lady Ningguang requested we meet her at the jade palace!

Milileth- and what are you doing here?

Thomas- we're just hoping to use the ballistas scope to try and find a way up there

Milieth- Seems pretty fishy to me. I'm sorry but I have my orders.

He tells them apologetically before he and the rest advance on them spears drawn knowing there's no talking them out of this now the two draw their weapons and charge in. First running up to one the male ducks under his spear and kicks him in the shin bringing him to his knees and combo ing with a metal kick to the face knocking him out cold quickly turning he catches a second spear and pushes back at the attacker gutting him with the blunt side of the weapon before lifting him up and tossing him into a small tornado created by the girl knocking out three more. Summoning a simple wooden bat with the word "Shelia" written across the wood as to avoid any unnecessary casualties the male runs around bonking soldiers over the heads, dodging spear strikes and working together with the blonde until the last milileth is taken out. High-Fiving one another the two step towards the ballista only to hear a voice call behind them.

Keqing- What is going on here!?!

Turning around the two see the purple haired girl there arms crossed looking angry at them. Drawing her sword once more the girl steels herself for battle and speaks to her heterochromic companion.

Lumine- Thomas, you with me?..........Thomas?

She questions turning to the male only to find him standing there a deep blush enveloping his face and struggling to form a coherent sentence gazing directly at the Yuheng. Deciding to trust this girl the blonde sheathes her weapon and explains the situation to her.

Keqing- I see so you are Lady Ningguang's personal guests huh? Then what are you doing all the way out here?

Thomas- O-oh w-we were just looking for a way up to the p-palace and thought the scope on this thing could help.

The male tells her before she looks up at his direction as if just now noticing he was there and runs up to him embracing the male tightly causing steam to protrude from his ears and causing a certain blonde traveler to shake with fury. Pulling back from the hug the yuheng speaks.

Keqing- Thomas it's so good to see you again

Thomas- Like wise

Keqing- I take it you're with them?

She asks gesturing to the other two unaware of the glare the blonde is giving her.

Thomas- Yep we were just looking to find a way up to the jade palace and thought the scope of this ballista could help

Keqing- ah I can see why, the scope is quite-HOLY ARCHONS WHAT HAPPENED TO IT!?!

She shouts out loud as she turns to the ballista now looking completely different then what it did only a few moments ago. Grinning the male tells her all about what he did receiving a well done and a warm smile from the girl before they continue of their previous discussion.

Thomas- So yeah we thought this would help us find the way up there

Keqing- Well you won't find the way here that's for sure. If you want I could show you how to get up there the proper way.

Lumine- That'd be nice

Keqing- Splendid , follow me.

She say turning and walking off leading the three all the way back to liyue before standing in front of a large building with a man standing off to the side a large green stone floating next to him. Walking them up to them man the girl tells the three exactly what to say before excusing herself to go elsewhere. Walking up to the man the male asks.

Thomas- Excuse me do you sell the moon here?

Man- Yes how many would you like?

Thomas- It is not convenient to speak of numbers here

Man- Ah a well thought out response indeed. Please use this *gestures to stone* to make your way up to the jade chamber.

He instructs politely standing aside to let them on. Hopping on to the stone the three are unsure of what to do next and are ready to ask the man before the stone starts ascending upwards leading them to the jade chamber within seconds. Hopping off the stone the scientist falls to the ground clutching this stomach trying to keep his lunch down.

Thomas- Oh god why would they make that so fast!?!

Lumine- There there

The girl sighs patting him on the back. After recovering from the awful ride the two wander around or a bit before running into a woman dressed in a blue kimono and ask where they can find Ningguang before hearing a voice call behind them. Turning around they see a tall pale woman with white hair, amber eyes and wearing a white and yellow dress with black heels. Whistling in astonishment over her clear as day power and status the male speaks.

Thomas- Judging by the way you carry yourself I'm guessing you're Ningguang?

Ningguang- Quite the observant aren't you? Yes I am Lady Ningguang Tianquan of the city of Liyue. I've been expecting your arrival.

Lumine- your secretary Ganyu said you wanted to see us right?

Ningguang- That's right. Come follow me inside we have much to discuss.

She tells them leading the inside the building. Once inside they see the three go eyes wide in astonishment over the exquisite decor with chandeliers, mahogany wood railing and flooring and clearly expensive vases and other furniture. Leading them to one of the larger the woman opens the door and gestures for them to step inside. Letting in Lumine and Paimon without a hitch the woman then holds her arm out blocking the make from entering. Seeing the confused look on his face she answers.

Ningguang- I'll speak with you later but first give the ladies some privacy will ya?

Thomas- Oh sure thing.

He tells her simply before pocketing his hands and exploring the chamber while he waits. Walking around he takes in the sights around him taking in all the lavish decor and beautiful ink paintings along the walls depicting many things from battles to trade to what appears to be Ningguang herself standing above liyue in a protective manner. While gazing at another painting the male hears someone clear their throat behind him and turns to find Lumine standing there.

Lumine- She wants to see you now

Thomas- Okay 

They exchange as the make walks off and enters the woman's office to find her sitting behind her desk. Inside her office is pretty simple- Book cases, scrolls, desk and papers the usual you'd find in one though one particularly note worthy feature in a large board off to the side cluttered with papers that all look important. Turning back to Ningguang he watches as she points towards a second chair gesturing for him to sit. Doing as she instructs the males butt had must barely hit the chair before she begins speaking rather suspiciously I might add.

Ningguang- Who are you?

Thomas- W-what?

Ningguang- Who.....are.....you?

She speaks very slowly putting a lot of force and demand behind every word clearly she's not playing around here. Trying his best not to look intimidated the male answers.

Thomas- I-I'm Thomas, Thomas Bracksen

Ningguang- That's funny

Thomas- W-what is?

Ningguang- You know I keep a document of every person here in Liyue and it is updated every single time someone is born with all of their information. The place of birth, the time of birth, even the weather it currently was during said birth everything and that includes their name. So how strange would it seem to have some bright eyed man wander in Liyue one day cause a ruckus in the streets mere moments after his arrival and then proceed to give me a name that doesn't match a single denizen here in Liyue neither first nor last.

Thomas- I mean, what do you want me to say? I just got here this how you treat all your visitors?

Ningguang- Hang on I'm not done. So it's true you're not from Liyue but according to the files I borrowed you're not from Mondstadt either or Snezhnaya or Inazuma or anywhere else where people can be found you seemingly materialized out of thin air one day so I'll ask one last time. Who are you?

She asks demandingly gripping her desk the venom practically pouring from her mouth her eyes once beautiful to the male now reminding him of a venomous snake ready to pounce if provoked. Choosing his next words carefully he answers.

Thomas- Like I said my name is Thomas Bracksen and to answer your other question Yes it's true i'm not from Liyue, Mondstadt or any of the other places you mentioned.

Ningguang- Then where do you hail from?

Thomas- It's a long story

Ningguang- We have time

She tells him bluntly clearly she's ready to be here a while. Puffing his cheeks the male clasps his hands together and tells her everything- About his home world, What he does for a living, about unisec and traits, the portal he made, the crash into Mondstadt everything not a single detail is left out. Listening to every word with interest the woman stays in mostly silence with the occasional question before finally the male is done.

Thomas- and that's everything you need to know.

Ningguang- Interesting, now tell me what is your purpose here?

Thomas- I'm here looking for a man responsible for the deaths of countless back in Mondstadt surely you've heard of it.

Ningguang- Of course I have. So by your statement I take it he's somewhere here in Liyue?

Thomas- Yeah don't worry though I have everything thing under control I won't let him attack this city.

Ningguang- Good. Okay that is all!

Thomas- really that's it?

Ningguang- Yes yes now begone I have much work to attend to.

Thomas- O.....kay then. Bye!

He says farewell rising from his seat and making his way towards the exit though before he can step a foot out the entrance way he hears her voice call behind him.

Ningguang- Though I will warn you. The second you step one foot out of line or even think about doing to Liyue what you did to Mondstadt trust me, I won't be as merciful as Grandmaster Jean. I'll make you hurt personally.

Thomas- You'll try

The male tells her not taking her threat lightly before stepping out her office and disappearing around the corner. Smiling to herself the woman thinks.

Ningguang- 'so we got ourselves a tough one? I like that'

Before turning to her papers. Back to the make we find him stepping outside the building in a sour mood over the threat so much so he would've walked right off the edge and to his death if not for Lumine quickly tackling him from the side knocking him back to safety. Opening in his eyes with a groan he meets a rather spicy sight. The girl straddling him their faces ever so close now that just a single insignificant little movement would cause their lips to press against one another's. Now noticing this too along with the cheeky grin the male is currently wearing the girl quickly flings herself from his body and starts apologizing but he simply waves it off with a merry laugh. 

Lumine- S-so, I uh got a message from Zhongli saying he wanted to meet us in the open field nearby to look for glaze lilies. Wanna come with?

Thomas- Sorry Blondie but I gotta go I have some thing that need attending to

Lumine- O-oh.......okay

She speaks her voice dripping with disappointment and sadness over having to say goodbye so early. Noting her sadness the male quickly pulls her into an embrace holding her close. 

Thomas- Hey it's okay we'll meet again.

Lumine- Promise?

Thomas- Promise

He reassures her pulling away and waving goodbye to both her and Paimon before making his way back to the floating block and braces himself for round two on the medieval torture method. Hopping back off and leaning against a nearby wall for support the male gazes back up at the chamber where he can make out two dots which happen to be the girls he's grown so fond of before smiling to himself and making his way through the harbor excited and vowing to keep his promise.

A/N- Originally this was going to be one chapter but then over 11,000 words in I realized I still had a lot to write and didn't want to keep you guys waiting for much longer so I decided to split it in two the second part will be uploaded soon.
