Teen Fiction Genre Judges
Meet Teen Fiction Genre Judge 1: 4thpowermama
This author introduced me to some of the best writing for the first ever contest I judged. Most of the times when reading her chapters, I forgot I was judging the book for a contest! She is a talented author of over 20 books in many genres such as Romance, Fantasy, Short Story, Fan Fiction, Humour, Mystery/Thriller, Historical Fiction, Paranormal and of course - Teen Fiction!
Introduction in her own words:
My Wattpad journey started almost 2 years ago when my daughter told me about this site where you can "read stuff for free." I was instantly hooked. After a few months, I decided to take the plunge and post a story I had been working on, Guarded Hope. A few months later, when it hit 1K reads, I was shocked that people were reading it. Now, writing is as necessary to me as breathing, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Teen Fiction Books by the Author:
My Biggest Story to Date in the Teen Fiction Genre, and my favorite so far, is 'More Than This'. It's centered around three high schoolers, who all have secrets to hide. Their interaction with each other brings about life changing decisions. It's dramatic, I know... but it has garnered second place in both the Cliché Crunching contest and the Teen Fic awards - Romance Category!
My First Teen Fiction story, 'Guarded Hope', follows Hope Smith and her quest to find happiness in her life after her broken family changes her world. Along the way, she reconnects with someone from her past and, well, things happen there as well.
Other Genre Books and Activities:
The sequel/second Point of View to Guarded Hope is called 'Waiting for Hope', which follows Ethan Thompson and his utter devotion to a girl who didn't know he existed. A tragedy with his best friend changes everything, and forces him to take a hard look at himself.
Finally, and on the lighter side, is the story of identical triplets, 'Spare Change', and one sister's snarky, humorous look at life in high school. Penny, and her sisters, experience the typical high school events, but Penny's take on those events is entirely unique.
I have written a ton of one-shots for contests and challenges, participated in two Wattpad Block Parties (Winter III and Summer III) as well as written a couple of Fan Fiction one-shots. My short story, Camping With Travis, hit #366 on the hot list, and I am just beginning to post my first fantasy, The Ferlands, this month.

I have been enamoured with this author ever since I read her book 'The Forgotten' (I still have to complete my awesome adventure!). But her writing skills are phenomenal! I am happy to have such a talented author as part of the team.
Introduction in her own words:
Wattpad has been a large part of my life for the past two years. I discovered Wattpad through a friend who told me that they had the best free books to read, and because I'm the ultimate bookworm, I couldn't resist giving it a go. A few months after I'd gotten Wattpad, I tried my skills with writing and thus my first Teen Fiction Genre book, 'The Forgotten', was born. It took me the last two years to perfect the book (although it could be perfected more!). I am absolutely in awe at where my book stands, not only with stats and popularity, but with showing me how much I've grown throughout these past two years as an author.
Wattpad made me realize that reading is my escape and writing is my release.
Teen Fiction Book by the Author:
My biggest and only Teen Fiction novel, I've written is 'The Forgotten'. It features a girl, Cara Brown, who uncovers the truth of her best-friend's and current flame's past along with trying to deal with her distant parents. It addresses issues of teen pregnancy, dishonesty and true-friendship. A bit cliché, according to me. However, the book was placed in the top three of the Teen Fic Awards - Romance Category.
Other Genre Works and Activities:
As far as writing goes, I'm currently working on my very first Werewolf Genre Novel, 'Lethal Fate', that is part of a four book series known as the 'Fate Series'. Astrid Harper, the protagonist, undergoes a series of obstacles and discovers horrific memories that were stolen from her, whilst hiding from a Rogue who has killed her entire Pack and is after her family as well. Of course, there's a love interest when she starts at a new school in the fictitious town of Valley Hill.
My other book is still in the process of creation, it's in the Teen Fiction Genre as well and is currently called 'New Rules'. It follows a senior in high school that makes a deal with the new boy to get back at her ex. But along with that, she has yet to discover why her fake-boyfriend has agreed to help her and what he holds against her ex.
Being on Wattpad opened a new door for me, I've discovered that I've got a passion and love for graphic designing and am still learning the ins and outs of designing. I'm part of a community known as GraphicsNation, and have recently started a community called The WordSmiths that provides information and help with writing and much more.

This judge made me a fan of hers with her book 'Mirror Mirror (Duology)' for the Storyteller Awards! The writing, the emotion and the characters, everything is so well thought out! I am very honoured to have her as a judge for the Genre Awards.
Introduction in her own words:
My journey with Wattpad began earlier this year as a platform for promoting another story that my writing partner and I had completed finally after eight years. We figured maybe posting a few chapter and seeing what kind of response we would get for our writing might prove beneficial. And it did in so many ways. Since then, our little story in the Teen Fiction Genre 'Mirror Mirror' has been signed with a literary agent, and if everything goes well, hopefully, you will see it on a bookstore shelf near you in the future!
Teen Fiction Book by the Author:
'Mirror Mirror' is the story of a girl, Shelby, that loses her way after her family dies in a car crash. Now permanently injured from the accident, she struggles to face reality and to love again. That is until she starts receiving messages from an anonymous Prince Charming. Along with her burgeoning feelings for Sebastian, it makes for a bumpy ride in Shelby's life for sure.
Other Genre Works and Activities:
My writing partner, Amy, and I have several books in the works. Right now, we are continuing with the 'Blood Reader', a Young Adult Fantasy Genre book and 'Lovefool', a young adult contemporary fiction that is in the Humour Genre here on Wattpad.
