After judging close to 14 contest and counting, along with my extensive reading, I have found that there are so many books that deserve more views, more votes and just more love than what they have been receiving!   I want to give those authors a chance to shine and be recognized!

These awards will run monthly or sometimes bi-monthly (every two months) and will feature ONE GENRE ONLY.   This contest will cover 16 genres in total. Here they are alphabetically:

The contest will have three rounds where judging criteria will determine your movement in the contest and determine winners.

In the First Round, achudasama1 will read two chapters of everyone's book.   If you have more than five types of Spelling, Punctuation and Grammatical Mistakes along with 10 or more occurrences, you will not qualify to participate.

For example, if I find that an author misspells words and while reading your chapter, I find that 8 words have spelling issues.   Then that means the type of mistake is Misspelled Words and the number of occurrence is 8.   If you have any questions or require clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In the First Round, no other criteria will be considered and you will receive a PM with a brief explanation of your issues.   So please ensure that your chapters are clean and edited, otherwise you will be disappointed and won't get a chance to enter until a year later for your genre!

ONLY 15 BOOKS will move on from Round 1 for competition!

In the Second Round, Three Genre Judges that Write in the Particular Genre will judge the ten books that are selected from Round 1.   I am looking for particular judges and may have to change my requirements but for now, I am abiding by this rule.

Each genre judge will randomly receive the 5 books and they will select the Best Three Books based on Cover, Summary, Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation, Quality of Writing, Plot Development, Character Development, Creativity, Originality and Overall Enjoyment after reading up to three chapters but not more than five chapters of your book.

The Six Books that did not make will be in the Participatory Group and will receive Three Prizes.

ONLY 9 BOOKS will move on from Round 2 for final competition!

In the Third and Final Round, the Three Genre Judges and achudasama1 will judge the remaining 9 books for Cover, Summary, Quality of Writing, Plot Development, Character Development, Creativity, Originality and Overall Enjoyment after further reading three more chapters but not more than ten chapters of your book.

Here is the twist!   

Genre Judge 1 will receive Genre Judge 3's three book choices

Genre Judge 2 will receive Genre Judge 1's three book choices 

and 

Genre Judge 3 will receive Genre Judge 2's three book choices.   

Their scores from Round 2 will be carried forward but not shared with each other.   While achudasama1 will read all nine books.   All the scores from Round 2 and Round 3, will be tallied for a final score.

The eliminated Six Books will be in the Honourable Mentions and will receive Four Prizes.

TOP 3 BOOKS will be crowned as First, Second and Third for Best In Genre Awards!

Third Place Finish will receive Five Prizes.

Second Place Finish will receive Six Prizes.

First Place Finish will receive Seven Prizes.

I would really like to finish a genre a month but it all depends on the judges that decide to participate and life not throwing curve balls.   However, a genre contest will not run longer than two months!   This may change and refine as the contest progresses, so stay tuned!
