Genya pov

Muichiro and I have gotten back from shopping, I was holding heaps of boxes in my hand and was more focused on that then the road..

The traffic lights beeped for us to go, so I went across the road.

"GENYA!" I heard, it was mui?

Suddenly I was pushed to the ground and looked to see mui, also on the ground.. but he was..

Run over..

"MUI?! NONONO PLEASE, MUI LOOK AT ME!" I say frantically while trynna figure out what to do.

A lady walked out of her car and signaled everyone to stop. "Is she okay?" She asked me. Pulling out her phone. "Uhh i- he doesn't look-" I stutter, completely out of it due to stress. "Look kid, it's okay. He's okay." She says to me, patting me on the shoulder. "I'm Aurora, you are?" She asks me. Dilling 911. "Genya.." I say.

She then gets on the phone with the ambulance and they arrive. I went in the ambulance with mui, even if he wasn't communicating.

I was balling my eyes out.

"Mui.. look what I've done.." I say, crying. His heart was still beating but he was in a coma..

Later on
Yuichiro pov

I heard mum crying, and immediately ran to the living room. "What wrong?" I ask her in a sad tone. "Go get kotetsu, muichiros in hospital.." she said. My jaw dropped. "WHAT?!" I reply, angrily. "He's.. in a coma.." Dad say, patting mums back who was balling her eyes out. He was crying too, just not as much as her.

"Tetsu, c'mere, We're going to the hospital.." I tell my younger brother. "Why?" "Muis been injured." I reply, he looks worried and runs downstairs into the car, along with his stuffed plushie.

When we got to the room he was in, I couldn't control my emotions. I normally don't show them but I started crying. There were cables all over him, bandages and so many other things, trying to keep him alive.

"M-mui.." I say, walking up to him. Mum joins me and kotetsu stays outside with dad because we're worried he's gonna be traumatized if he sees mui. But dad will come in once I get out. I left, and dad walked in, I went up to kotetsu. "Is he okay..?" Tetsu said, sniffing. "We don't know yet.."

A week later
Genya pov

I was at school, unable to think.

All I could think about is mui.. and what he had done to himself trynna safe me..

"Genya.. what's wrong?" Tanjiro asks me with his, as usual. Smile.

"Mui.." I reply, about to cry.

"He'll be fine, I promise you." Aoi says, patting me on the back. Everyone on our lunch table hugged me, including inosuke.

"I just.. it's my faul-" "stop blaming yourself. That's only gonna make it worse." Aoi cuts me off.

"Yeah but what I'd he doesn't wake up, then we do have a problem."

Inosuke adds. Making me start to sob. Aoi rolls up her notebook and hits him hard on the head each side with it.

"Shut up boi"

I let out a little giggle from that. Aoi beeting up inosuke is litterally amazing. But I kept thinking of it.

What if he infact.. doesn't wake up.. what would I do..

"Genya.. if your so worried, just go see him today. Okay?" Aoi says, giving me a smile. "Yeah, that'd be a good idea." I add. "Good." She says

"What if he passed thoug-" I was cut off by being slammed in the face by a note book.

"He'll be fine. I assure you." She says.

I rup my cheek where she hit it. "Sorry, did I hit you too hard? I'm used to doing it to inosuke.." she says, I nod.

Maybe i will go see him.. I haven't seen him since when I was in the ambulance..

Later on

I walked into his room..

He was.. completely injured, no way would anyone wake up from that.

I started crying uncontrollably. As I run over to where he was and held his tiny, lifeless hand. "Mui.. I'm so- sorry!" I break down into tears. I sat there, trynna tell him I love him. Just so he knows.. in the afterlife.

Mui pov

"Mui.. I'm so- sorry!" I heard, then someone breaking into tears..

Is that.. Gen?!

"Mui.. I love you.. I hope you have a nice time.. wherever you are now.. or wherever you go." He said. Mumbling and audibly crying.

Wake up! Wake up!

I can see!

I opened my eyes.. "Gen..?" I say, hoping I wasn't just dreaming. "Mui..? MUI!!" He says excitedly. He hugs me loosely, so he wouldn't hurt me. "MUI IM SO SORRY- I- PLEASE.. JUST-" "genya.. I love you so much.." I say, now letting out a few tears. "I LOVE YOU TOO-" he says, crying a waterfall. "Please.. don't worry. I did that for you." I say. "YES AND ITS MU FAULT YOU ALMOST DIE-" "genya.. please." I say, trying my best to lift my arm and but my hand on his cheek.

"Please, don't ever blame yourself.." I say and he starts crying again. "And don't ever do that to me again.." He says, tucking my hair behind my ear.

"I love you gen.." "I love you too."
