I spun back and forth in Piper's squeaky computer chair, fiddling with a collection of washers, nuts, and bolts that seemed to always be clunking around in my pockets.

Her her half of the dorm was unusually messy, with clothes thrown on the back of chairs and trash strewn all over the black carpet.

I guessed that she hadn't had time to clean up this week, she was too busy with "other stuff", aka her new boyfriend Jason which she had mentioned a few times over text.

Her side was especially messy when compared to her roommate, the hot but no fun Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano.

Reyna had not a spot of trash, her bed was made, and the only decoration she owned was a giant SPQR banner and a picture of her and her equally hot sister, Hylla.

After making two mini robots, fixing Piper's squeaky chair, and accidentally destroying her lamp (sending bolts and nuts everywhere), I heard the click of the door as someone inserted their key.

The door swung open, and the action was followed by a scream.

"Leo! Schist! Stop scaring me like that! How the Hades do you even get in here?"

Piper said this while defensively holding her backpack up in the air, ready to hurt somebody with her million-pound college books.

"Spare key, remember?" I replied tauntingly, dangling a shiny key in front of her kaleidoscope eyes.

"Ugh give me that!" Piper exclaimed and swiped at the key with no avail as I tucked it back into my pocket.

"I told you that was for emergencies only!"

"Well, seeing my best friend isn't an emergency?"

"No! You're lucky Reyna wasn't in here, or you would have a broken bone."

I shivered, remembering the one time I had come in to try to scare Piper and Reyna had used her self defense ninja moves on me which resulted in a knee being put into my crotch.

"Yeah... I knocked before I entered this time."

Piper finally dropped her backpack on the ground and jumped face-first onto her bed with a sigh.

We sat in silence for a moment before I asked, "Sooo can I get a welcome? At least something for your friend of ten-ish years? No hi or anything? Nothing? Nada?"

She lifted her head from her pillow and glared at me. "Sorry Leo, I was too busy thinking someone had broken into my dorm and was trying to kill me! And it's been twelve years!"

"Okay! Okay." I said, raising my hands apologetically. "I'm sorry I broke into your dorm?"

"And?"

"And... I'm sorry I scared you?"

"And...?"

"And...um, I'm sorry for being your long term best friend of twelve years who has been ignored for the last week because of some guy named Jason Grace?"

Piper groaned and threw her head into her pillow again.

"I thought you were okay with that! And besides, he's my boyfriend who I've only known for about a month, compared to you who I know practically everything about and would never kiss!"

I mockingly put a hand on my chest.

"Ouch Piper, come on, you know you would kiss me if you had the chance." I teased.

She gave me a death glare.

I put my hands up in truce.
"Just kidding Pipes."

"You better be, cause no offense Leo, but I've seen you stuff tacos into your mouth like there's no tomorrow, and I've been permanently scarred by your beef taco breath. That would be like kissing a cow, which would just enforce my vegetarianism." She said with a shudder.

"Okay! Okay! I get your point. But... Jason isn't a vegetarian is he?"

"No but he doesn't eat like a pig." Piper defended.

I raised my eyebrows in suspicion. "But you don't know that. Maybe he stuffs tacos in his mouth when you're not looking?"

"Stop trying to scar me Leo! And if you're so jealous of him, why don't you come meet him? Then you can see that he's a nice guy."

"No thanks Pipes,  I'm not being third wheeled."

"Well about that..." she replied guiltily,"he may or may not be walking up here to take me on a date."

"Sorry but I'm out. See ya." With that statement, I jumped up and walked towards the door.

"Wait Leo!" She got off her bed and grabbed my wrist. "Please stay?" She pleaded.

"Nope. I don't wanna get caught in a make out session."

I grabbed the door handle, to avoid what would be an extremely awkward situation, but the door opened on its own, resulting in me being face to face to face with Jason Grace.

"Hey Piper- oh hi, you must be Leo. Piper complains about you a lot."

"Hey Jason." Piper waved nervously.

"And you're the infamous Jason Grace." I replied, not even reacting to the remark about Piper complaining. "Well I'm out. Bye!"

Then I ran past Jason and down the hall.

"Wait man! I wanted to talk to you!" Jason yelled.

"No thanks dude! Enjoy your make out session! Make sure you haven't just stuffed your face with tacos!" I yelled back as I rounded the corner, sprinting away.

Well that chapter was kinda weird. XD

Tbh I barely have a plot? And I was just inspired to write suddenly so enjoy lol.
