Jillian Hyun Junior was born on October 20th to Jillian Hyun Senior. Two years later, May Hyun was born on May 20th.

Senior was an undiagnosed schizophrenic, who was convinced that her children were demons, and that that was why her husband left her. She would beat her children, and then cry and hug them and apologize.

It got worse when Jillian Junior started refusing to wear dresses, and protested to being called a girl. And the beatings for Jillian Junior got worse.

Because of Senior's skills with first aid and make-up, no one suspected the abuse until May died from a hit to the head on Jillian Junior's tenth birthday.

Jillian Junior was put into an orphanage. May was buried in a fancy grave by her father, who committed suicide not long after. Jillian Senior was executed via poison.

On July 13, at the age of thirteen, Jillian Junior was adopted by the Blanes, and became Genie Blanes.

Every year on May 20th and his birthday, he visits his sister's grave and mourns.

To this day he flinches when adults suddenly move, or when they go near him.
