I was in front of Mrs. Gerhart, anxiously waking as she flipped through my new portfolio. She would nod here and there every few moments but hasn't said a word. I wanted to shake her down and tell her to tell me something. I worked so hard most of the night all the way to two in the morning.

Finally, she closed it and handed it to me smiling, "Better Andria. The angles are good, the edit perfect, and the models are great. Real handsome boys.",

"Thanks.", I said, referring to how good she said it was. "Amazing what you can do in two days.",

She nodded, "Well, it was perfect. It was surely different. Were they your cousin or something?",

"Uh," I said, biting my lower lip. "No, they're both my friends. I asked them and they said yes.",

"Oh.", she said. "Well, you did great. Good job.",

"Thanks Mrs. Gerhart.", I said before walking out of the room. I had a smile on my face as I walked over towards my locker and started packing my things. After stuffing my books in my bag, I closed my locker and turned only to almost run into Sammi.

"Hey, I just wanted to let you know I'm having a pool party this weekend. You should come.", she said, but didn't sound so excited to ask.

I raised an eyebrow, "Whhhy?", I questioned.

"Because then you can bring Levi for thanks for inviting you.", she said in a very 'duh' way.

"Well thanks but I'll object. Goodbye.", I said, walking around her, but she grabbed my upper arm. I looked at her, "Let go of me.",

"Wait.", she said. "Please Alex, just come over. He'll only come if you ask him. I'll do anything.",

"I don't want anything from you, Sammy.", I told her. "And it's Andria.",

She scuffed and turned, "Whatever, I don't care. Just come and...I don't know, swim, eat, dance, I don't care. Just come.",

"I been here for three years and the only time you've talk to me is to talk trash. You really think I'll come just because you want Levi to come also?", I asked. I humorlessly chuckled, "Look Sammy, Levi and I have known each other for awhile. He's family friend. You know how wrong it is for a high schooler to be hanging out with a cop? Advice, stop trying.", I said, turning around.

"I'm eighteen and about to graduate. It's not gonna look weird anymore and my uncle is also a cop in the same station." she said.

"It's not gonna happen." I said coldly

She grimanced at me, "You're such a bitch."

I smiled, "That's my middle name, don't wear it out.", I said.

I walked out Hayden High and saw Levi in his usual spot, turning his key to his bike around his finger. I walked over to him and he looked up when I was a few feet away, "Took ya long.", he complained.

"Got held up.", I said. I raised my hand, "Don't ask. Lets just get to the library.",

"Yes, ma'am.", he said, getting on the bike. I took my helmet out my bag and put it on. I slid on and put my bag in the middle of Levi and I. I wrapped my arms around his waist and he was off.

When we got to the library, we climbed off and we into the library. I showed Levi the way and we went to the last floor where some people where. I smiled when we got the table, "Hi, I was in here two days. I sign portion and my friend Levi want to also.",

They looked at him confused and looked over his uniform. A thirty-some woman pointed at him, "You want to help? Don't Mayor Henders have the cops on his side or anything incase people like us try to stop him.",

"I like to be bad.", he said, bring his index finger up to his lips and made a 'shh' sound. I rolled my eyes and pushed him to shut up. He chuckled, "No really, the forest means something to me and my family. I don't like him cutting it down for his own selfish needs.",

"Man with a kind heart, that's good.", the lady said, picking up a clip board and gave it to him with a pen. "Maybe with a good looking boy like yourself, more of the girls would sign up to help to be around you.",

Levi chuckled, "Using me is a good idea, ma'am.", he cockily said and I smacked my teeth and rolled my eyes. "I'll also like to sign up to help find a way to save it.", he said as he put down the clip board.

"Okay.", she said, going through some papers and give him the paper he need that I already sign yesterday. "Just sign that and you'll be in the group.",

He filled his name in at the placed he agreed to and knows the risk. She took it back and handed him a shirt with encouraging word about being against tearing down the forest.

He put it in front of him, "What do you think, Andria? You think it'll look tight and fitting.",

I shook my head, but chuckled, "Shut up, Levi. Thanks.", I said to the lady and she nodded. Levi and I left the library, but before we got onto the bike, I stopped him, "Hey thanks, that was a nice things to do.", I said, pointing back at the library.

"Wouldn't hesitate to help.", he said.

He looked down at me, giving me that charming smile that made my knees feel weak. I couldn't help my muscles from turning into a smile and even though how hard I try, my muscles wouldn't relax.

He started to lean down to me and before I knew it, I closed my eyes, ready for him to kiss me. Levi can be childish—no, he is childish, but he has his moments where he can be totally amazing.

I heard someone clear they're throat next to us and my eyes snapped opened, fear taking over. Oh shit, someone caught us almost kissing! A police officer kissing a minor is not good!

I looked to see who it was and to my surprise, it was Angelo. He raised an eyebrows and my cheeks burned up. Remember Levi was here and Angelo was being my boyfriend, I put my arms around his waist and kissed his cheek, "Hey Angelo.",

"Were you two about to kiss?", he asked.

I shook my head, "No.",

"Good.", he said. He looked at Levi, "Thought I'll have to beat someone up.", he said and I giggled.

The look Levi was giving was telling me he was not happy, "I should go.", he said, slipping his helmet on and quickly left.

I let my arm slid down from Angelo waist and sighed heavily. He arched an eyebrow up and my cheeks burned more. I remember what he almost saw, "You saw nothing.", I said, making my way towards the direction of my house.

"Oh really, Lexi?", he questioned. "So you two weren't about to lip lock?",

"No.", I quickly denied. "Wait," I said, stopping and turned to him. "Why are you out here?",

He shrugged, "I needed some air and no offence to your Yiayia, but I was getting bored with her stories of when she was younger.", he said.

I chuckled, "Okay. Well, thank god it was just you and not someone else. That would have looked bad.",

"Yeah.", he said. "So, getting back to the point where you almost kissed him. I thought you hated him.",

My back straighten, "I don't hate him.", I told him. "He just...annoys me sometimes.",

"Ahhh," he said, nodded. "Well, it sounds like you love him."

My eyes widen and my whole body felt like it was on fire. I turned and continued on my way, "I do not. You're talking crazy.", I said, but my voice not sounded convincing.

"Oh really, Lexi?", he questioned. "You talk about him a lot when you don't even realize your talking about him. You hang out with him a lot. I know where you actually go when you leave the house without me. Helene tells me everything.", he said when I gave him a crazed look.

I groaned, "Damn Yiayia.", I muttered under my breath as I looked around other then Angelo face.

"And you have a half naked picture of him under your pillow.", he said and I have never felt so embarrassed until right now. My face heated up.

My eyes widen, "H-how do you know about that picture?", I asked, my whole body burning with embarrassment. It was true; it was a picture of Levi only in his boxer and it was surprised picture. It was when I slept over at his house one time and I was testing this camera I got.

I kind of printed it out and hid it under my pillow.

I blame my teenage hormones.

"Half of the picture was sticking out when I went in last night while you were busy on the computer.", he said. "Okay, I know I'm going to sound like a total pervert, but damn, his kind big in that deparment—",

My hands flew up to my ears like a child would do, "I'm not listening to this.", I told him as I started walking and he laughed.

"Admit it, Lexi. You might not love him...yet, but you really like him. I see how you light up when he comes to the subject.", he said.

"I don't light up.", I hissed, wanting to change the subject.

"Yes you do.", he said.

"No I don't.",

"Yes you do.",

"No I don't.",

"Yes. You. Do.", he said strictly. "Look, I know your one stubborn girl at time, but I know when you life someone, Lexi.",

I just rolled my eyes.

I was in my Yiayia room. It was ten thirty at night and Angelo was passed out. I was having my Yiayia brush and braid my hair the way I like it. I sat sitting in front of her bed on the floor, but I was somewhere else.

Could what Angelo be saying true? Could I love Levi?

Maybe I love him just like how I love Angelo. A friend. I'll admit, there some strong attraction of course when it comes to me to him. I know he can't help but feel how he does to me.

"What's on your mind, my engoni?", Yiayia asked me.

I shrugged, "Nothing.",

She chuckled, "I know when your lying. Something on your mind. Come on, tell me. You use to be able to tell me anything.",

I sighed, "Okay. It's Levi. I don't know, he's still irks me and give me headaches, but...I don't know. I don't want to like him like...that.", I said, trying to tell her the best way I can without telling her I'm going sex crazy over for him now and actually wanting him to kiss me now.

I could imagine she was nodding, "You're becoming a young adult, engoni. It's normal. You know I like Levi, so what's the real problem? Why wont you let him in?",

I thought about that. "I...I guess from the story. I don't want to be like Eliza. Don't get me wrong, I loved her but I feel like I'm somehow do the same she did. I know I'm stupid for thinking that, but I don't want to hurt and him get hurt. Even, Levi a player.",

She chuckled, "Andria, I'm sure the boy hasn't even had sex in the passed four years since the night of the first left off. He committed to being there for you. I know your scared of relationships but—",

"I'm not scared.", I told her quickly. "It's just...you know I never been the romantic one. I hate cheesy romances movies.',

"Not what I'm getting at, dear.", she said. She got done with my braid and I turned around and got on my knees. I crossed my arms over her legs and laid my head down on them like I use to do when I was little. "I know you like being independent and being free, spread your wings like a bird.",

"Just what you use to tell me.", I reminded her. "Never let anyone control you. Be what you always wanted. That's why you left Greek and the family. So you and grandpa could be free without any rules."

"Yes, but that's no excuse to turn down love. When I married your grandfather, our marriage was arranged but we grew up together first. I loved him deeply and I don't regret anything.", she said, petting my brown hair. "You are just afraid to be disappointed.",

I shrugged, "What so bad about worrying about that?",

She chuckled, "Oh dear, your are so hard head.", she said, knocking her knuckles against my head. "Look at Jesse, she's happy with Kaden. They're happy together. You and Levi could be just like that.",

I stayed quite, knowing what she saying is true.

But why does it feel so hard to make myself believe what I'm saying is true?
