~Chapter Six~

I hit the ground, the breath getting knocked out of me.
I looked up, seeing a man.
Aiden.
Liking exactly the same from my vision, he smirked, surveying me.
"Hello, Ella." He smirked, and I stood up, my hair starting to blaze.
He looked taken aback, but quickly recovered from the shock.
"You and your sister have so much potential...." He sighed, walking on the charred earth. "It's almost a shame that we have to hurt you two." Suddenly, two people grabbed my arms, thick armor glowing orange when I touched them.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'HURT US'?!" I snarled, struggling in the guards' arms.
"You'll see..." Huffed Aiden. "You'll see..."
My sister wasn't anywhere near here, causing me to panic.
What had they done to her?!
What would they do to ME?!
I screamed, and screamed, looking at the grey sky.
I continued to scream, calling for somebody- anybody... That would help me.
Until they gagged me and blindfolded me.
Suddenly, a sharp scent burned my nose, and I passed out almost instantly

...

"Good morning."
I opened my eyes, bright fluorescent light blurring my vision.
I looked around, seeing that I was trapped in a purely glass room.
There were shackles around my hands and feet, a dark black color tinted on them.
Across the room, I saw Aiden, standing completely straight.
"Y...you..." I growled.
I was so sore...
Every part of me felt awful...
Suddenly, shockwaves of pain went through my body, causing me to wince and grit my teeth to keep from screaming.
"It hurts, doesn't it?" Asked Aiden, as I curled into a ball. "The process of speeding it up feels... Well... Unpleasant- is an understatement."
I groaned, clawing the linoleum flooring.
"But you'll be unstoppable when I'm finish with you."
A mirror dropped down from the ceiling, stopping in front of me.
"Take a good look." Purred Aiden. "This is the only one you'll get in a while."
I looked at myself.
Wide turquoise eyes stared back at me with the nature of an animal, my hair blazing.
Wide light grey wings stuck out of my shirt, holes where they burst through my sweatshirt.
I tried to move them, and was rewarded with unbearable pain.
My lungs burned, making me cough.
My heart raced, and I squeezed my eyes shut, screaming.
"The wings are the hardest..." Sighed Aiden, the mirror rising again. "You can only fly if you grow a completely new and lightweight bone structure and stronger circulatory system... It's all pretty painful."
I stopped screaming, gritting my teeth once again and opening my eyes.
"I know you met my son." He said, smirking. "Nick... I think you had feelings for him, too."
I grunted, thinking about how my parents...
I had been tricked...
They had been tricked...
And now I was being experimented on- and who knows what was happening to my sister... Or my parents...
"Why... are you...doing this?!" I croaked, feeling the flames dance around my face.
"Multiple reasons..." Purred Aiden. "First of them being the fact that the people of this town killed my wife and daughter... And second of all- my first love, whom I will always have feelings for, went and had sex with the guy that I despised, creating you and your sister..."
He glared at me, tears gathering in his fiery eyes.
"She broke my heart... And I will never forget it."
So Aiden loved my mom. My mom fell in love with my dad, having my sister and I... And in doing so filled Aiden with hatred...
"And everyone underestimated my power..." He snarled, punching the "glass" wall. "And now that Jesse crushed me... I'll crush her..."
He grinned.
"By hurting the ones she loves most."
I hoped that somebody would help me...

...

"What are we going to do?!" Spat Petra, punching the stone walls of the hallway.
"Petra, please calm down..." Jesse sighed, surveying Lukas's wings. "My children had just been kidnapped- and I'm acting better than you."
"B-but THAT STUPID ARSEHOLE AIDEN! I TOLD YOU TO KILL HIM, JESSE!" Yelled Petra, hitting the walls with her sword. "I TOLD YOU!"
She stopped, huffing.
She slumped down on the floor, angry red cuts lacing around her hands from punching the walls.
"So... What now?" Asked Olivia. "I mean... We aren't exactly the youngest anymore..."
"Yeah..." Grunted Lukas, folding in his wings and standing up. "We haven't been on a proper adventure since Ivor died."
Which was a while ago.
Jesse sighed, pushing her hair back and placing her head in her hands.
"Yeah... I've we've just been so busy..."
And by busy, she meant trying to raise their children.
Axel and Olivia had twins, but they had moved out- leaving Lukas and Jesse to handle their kids right in the middle of high school.
"I don't even know if I remember how to hold a sword..." Growled Axel, folding his arms. "Let alone save your kids, guys."
"I just... WHY DID AIDEN HAVE TO DO THIS!" Wailed Jesse, starting to sob.
She felt Lukas's arm around her, but looking at him made her even more depressed.
"IT. JUST. ISN'T. FAIR!" She sobbed, her wails echoing through the hallway.
"Jesse... Please calm down..." Sighed Lukas. "I'm just as upset as you are."
Jesse grew angry, thinking about all the possible things that could be happening to her babies... And the choices went from 0 to 100 real quick.
Petra clanked her sword in the ground, causing sparks to fly.
"You guys are making me angry." She muttered, continuing to strike the ground. "I didn't even have kids."
The though of them disgusted Petra, and she wasn't even married.
She preferred to visit Nell at Harper's  old world, helping with the events.
Since Harper and Ivor died, Nell needed help keeping the games running, so that became Petra's escape- leaving her friends to deal with their special packages.
"We can't just sit around doing nothing, though..." Sighed Olivia, leaning against the wall. "We have to help them in some way."
All gazes shifted to Lukas, who, feeling quite uncomfortable with his shirt off, turned red.
"What?!" He asked, his wings still trembling.
"Have you tried flying since your accident?" Asked Axel, a devious look in his eyes.
"No... Guys... I told you." Huffed Lukas, cowering against the wall. "I can't fly. It hurts to even move my wings... Let alone actually using them."
Axel smirked.
"It's just a scratch. Just tell yourself that- and try."
"No... GUYS NO!" Hissed Lukas, his face getting more red. "ILL FALL- AND DIE. IT'S THAT SIMPLE."
Olivia looked at him skeptically.
"At you sure?" She asked.
"Yes, I'm sure... Now-"
"LUKAS LEONARDO HULTING!" Snarled Jesse. "YOU BETTER TRY- OR I SWEAR TO GOD, ILL GO AFTER OUR CHILDREN, MYSELF!"
You don't say no to your wife.
You just don't.
(Life lessons with Taylor- and they say you don't learn anything from reading fanfiction)
"Fine." Growled Lukas, shakily spreading his dark grey wings. "But if I break my neck- it's your fault."
