3RD PERSON POV

John: Uhhh....

Zack: What?

Vasco: So he's your friend?

Jay:......

There were 6 people gathered in John's home including Sera, Y/N, and Daniel though the door opened once more.

???: Woah John I didn't know you had friends over!

Zack: This your dad?

John: DAD?!

Dad: *grin* Cmon now I can't come back home to see my son?! I see you've made quite the friends! And I've heard you became a royal of Wellston. What's your position?

John: *smirk* Joker.

Dad: *surprised* Joker huh? Not surprising there considering you're the 2nd strongest-

John: I'm not the 2nd strongest.

Dad: You're not?

John: He is.

He points to Y/N who nods his head.

Dad: *impressed* I see he has a good ability-

John: He doesn't have an ability.

Dad:...He doesn't?

John: He doesn't. He's just that strong without one compared to everyone else.

His dad had a shocked look on his face though he grins after seeing Y/N's muscular frame and arms.

Dad: *grin* Well color me surprised! It's about time someone like you showed up to shake the foundation of the hierarchy.

Zack: It's bullshit either way. Students are always wanting beef with me cause I don't have an ability till I bash their faces in.

Y/N: Color me surprised you could've taken over as King anytime.

Zack: I'd rather not.

Vasco: Me either.

Jay:....

Dad: *grin* Color me surprised you're getting along quite well!

John: *chuckle* Well Y/N has quite the number of friends-

*KNOCK*

Y/N excuses himself before opening the door-

Maya: Hey.

Y/N: Were you following me?

She nods before pointing back as he sees a white van driving slowly in the distance though from their view, they couldn't see the two at all.

Y/N: Sera.

Sera: Yeah?

Y/N: Go out for a bit. A few hours.

Sera:......What?

Y/N: Don't worry. We'll be keeping close.

He gestures for his brother and friends to follow him as they have Sera go about her day while John was rather worried.

Later

???: *smile* Ah thank you.

Sera: 'My hands are shaking......so they're trying to kidnap me then-'

*BAM*

A van crashes in front of her just as the woman leaves, and a couple of people go out to check on Sera though she knew they were dangerous.

???2: ARE YOU OKAY?!

Sera: Yeah I'm fine.

???3: Are you sure you're ok? At least let us take you to the hospital! Cmon!

They try to grab Sera's hand though she swipes it away, annoyed while hearing someone approaching her from behind.

Sera: Leave me be.

???3: There's no need to be aggressive. We just want to make sure you're ok. At least let us buy you a dr-

*BOOM*

Vasco attacks the man, slamming him against the brick wall with his elbow before knocking him out with a single punch.

???3: WHAT THE-

*BOOM*

Y/N grabs their heads before slamming them against each other, knocking them out while Daniel and the others knock the other ones unconscious.

Y/N: Ah.........so this is what they're injecting. I'll be taking that.

Y/N pops the tires of the van, leaving the equipment out for the authorities to see after they called them as they head back to John's house.

Y/N: Did anything happen? Was there something out of the ordinary?

Sera: I tried to avoid the van but it was like my ability got weaker.....now it's back, but for a moment it felt weaker.

Jay:....

Daniel: I'm assuming this group or something tracks a high tier through some kind of method like the teddy bear tracker. They use the normal everyday people like mid tiers and such. They catch someone off guard, weaken their ability from a distance, before distracting them long enough to inject them with this liquid.

Vasco: They might come here so I'll stay. I'll even call Jace and some of the others over.

John: Damnit. Ok I'll call my dad to let him know.

Later

William: *whisper* Good night-

*CLICK*

They barely felt anything, but John suddenly woke up to feel an audible click as his hands shook.

Y/N: *whisper* John go to sleep and stay close to Sera. All of you too.

John: Alright.

William: Gotcha.

Burn Knuckles 1-20: Yes sir.

They all closed their eyes as a masked man enters the room only to be startled at the number of people in there.

???: The hell?

*GRAB*

Jace: You're looking for me?

*BAM*

The assailant was knocked out with a punch to the dome and the man who tried to grab Sera was kicked by John and William simultaneously as the two were tied up and watched by Jace.

Maya: 2 vans parked outside. They don't seem to have guns however but only knives.

Y/N: We'll engage them.

*BAM*

Y/N suddenly jumps out the second floor only to find that Jichang had thrown the other criminals out of their vans and knocked them out with officers there along with some Bureau agents.

Kassandra: *raised brow* What happened?

Y/N: A white van was following Sera and targeting her, so I used her as bait to see what they'd do. They have some kind of method to weaken your ability first before they send people not necessarily strong to distract them long enough to inject you with this. I don't know why, but I have a feeling this is how they incapacitate the missing high tiers. I took these from the van the authorities caught because I was not so sure if someone that could teleport were to take them back, which they had tried.

He hands her a box of the syringes as she passes them to another employee.

Y/N: Jichang did you try looking up Terrence's records?

Jichang: I have. They are well forged I have to admit, but I've found numerous discrepancies and such. With Kouji's help I have come to a realization that.........Terrence is not his name.

Y/N: So we have an imposter in Wellston. What is his ability?

Jichang: Invisibility. Kouji has managed to pull up records of his hidden testings and he's not a low tier. He's a 4.4.

Y/N: Anything suspicious?

Jichang: The details are well hidden. However that means there's a liability for Wellston's well-being and safety.

Y/N: Hmmm......

Farrah: We'll take it from here-

Y/N: Spectre. I saw a notebook in the van far away. What kind of organization is that?

???: May I interject? I am Valerie by the way.

The blonde who was there begins to explain herself as Y/N listens.

Valerie: Spectre is a terrorist organization that has remained hidden from the authority's sight for many years. It looks like they've been recruiting people against their will for their cause. However leave the investigation to us. We wouldn't want to arrest you in a case of vigilantism.

Y/N: I'm not a vigilante. I am simply looking out for a friend.

Valerie: Just stay out of trouble.

They quickly left, leaving everyone confused as Y/N points to himself.

Y/N: Is it me or were they wary of me?

John: The authorities don't take too kindly to anomalies that threatens their hierarchy. You and the entire alliance are practically an anomaly very different to what they stand for.

Y/N: Eh whatever.
