O Batman, my Batman

It was Batman's birthday, and Robin was determined to make it a memorable one. He had spent weeks planning and preparing for the big day, and now he was ready to unveil his masterpiece.

He cleared his throat and stood in front of Batman, who was sitting stoically in his chair.

"Happy birthday, Batman!" Robin exclaimed. "I have a little surprise for you."

Batman raised an eyebrow, intrigued but wary.

Robin took a deep breath and began to recite his poem:

"Oh Batman, my Batman, my mentor and guide,
Your gadgets and gear are always by your side.
Your brooding and scowling may scare off the bad,
But your heart is as big as the cape on your back."

Batman's eyes narrowed as Robin continued, his poem taking a more playful turn:

"You're always so serious, it's hard to have fun,
But we know deep down you're a fan of a good pun.
You may not smile often, but when you do,
We all know it's 'cause of the Bat-family crew."

Robin finished with a flourish, bowing deeply as Batman sat there, unamused.

"Is that it?" Batman asked, his voice flat.

Robin's smile faltered slightly, but he pressed on. "I thought it was funny," he said. "And it's all true! You do have a soft side, deep down."

Batman grunted, clearly not convinced. But Robin didn't let that dampen his spirits. He pulled out a small cake from behind his back, complete with candles and the Batman symbol.

"Come on, Batman," he said, holding out the cake. "Blow out the candles! Make a wish!"

Batman sighed, but he couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth. He blew out the candles and Robin cheered, happy to have made his mentor's birthday a little brighter.

As they sat down to enjoy the cake, Robin couldn't resist one last jab.

"You know, Batman," he said, grinning mischievously. "Maybe for your next birthday, I'll write you a rap instead."

Batman groaned, but couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips.
