"Ben?"
"No."
"Benjamin?"
"Same name."
"Benjamina?"
He sighed, shaking his head. "Human..."
"George?"
"No."
"Hmm... Greg?"
"No."
"Grogul?"
"What? No."
"Gresham?"
Beta Giometti shook his head.
"Grrrrr...Gretel?"
"That is a female name," He grunted.
"Oh," I frowned.
Giometti had entertained me for a full thirty names and, surprisingly, wasn't losing his patience. It was rather fun, and I had thrown weird names at him to keep it going longer. I strongly believed I had already guessed his name, going by his reactions to certain letters. I just wanted to mess with him for kicking me in the back and punching my face. Oh, and basically stabbing me with three arrows.
"Okay, okay! I think I know." I beamed.
"Go on."
"Holly!"
The laughter that tumbled from my lips was only a result of how red his face went. I had to gasp to keep it inside, afraid my bladder may burst. I really didn't want to lick up wee today. Not on an empty stomach.
"Not funny."
"I thought it was funny," I snorted.
"You have three chances left. There is a layby near here. You guess it in those three chances you can pee. If not, you will have to wait until the boat."
"Ooh! A boat?" My eyes widened. "I always saw them from the mountains. They're pretty cool."
His gaze was uninterested, and I tutted, muttering how miserable he was.
"Okay, Giometti. Your name is... Hercules!"
"Nope," He clicked his tongue. "Two left."
I grinned, testing a theory. "Hermione?"
His jaw flexed, but he shook his head and sneered his fangs at me. "Last chance."
"Okay, okay. I think I am going to give up... Harry!"
His eyes widened, and I let out a sharp A-HA at catching him.
"It is Harry! I knew it!"
He growled. "How did you know?"
Number two was chuckling. "She got you good."
"I did, didn't I?" I mused. "Now! I must pee!"
Harry grumbled, number one glaring at me as the car came to a stop. I eyed the forest with interest, especially when I didn't recognise where we were.
"You can let her out, since you think she is so amusing," Harry grunted to Two, before levelling his eyes on me. "No funny business, human."
It was like he was trying to tell me something. His voice took on a deeper tone, and his pupils seemed to expand. I stared at him wide-eyed, wondering what he was trying to do with that look. When nothing happened, I shrugged, dropping my gaze.
"Okay."
He blinked, confused, before narrowing his eyes with warning. Number two shrugged, getting out of the car to come and let me out of the luggage compartment. It opened up-ways, and the moment he undid one cuff, I was quick to run out, squeezing my thighs together. I heard Harry shout at me, but I reassured him I was just peeing.
"Why do you run then?"
"I run or I pee!" I gasped.
Finding a tree, I move behind it and quickly bundle the crotch of my clothes. Just as I went to squat, number two appeared, and I squeaked with alarm. Clearing my throat, I shook my head at the damn cat-bird noise I often copied.
"What are you doing?" I spat, desperate.
"I have to stay and watch," He huffed, crossing his arms.
"Whilst I pee?"
"Nothing I haven't seen before," He shrugged.
"What!" My eyes widened, dropping to his groin.
Oh wait, they think I am a boy.
"Please, turn around!" I begged.
"I can't."
I didn't want to pee in front of someone. Neo used to want to stand guard when I was younger, and it took me kicking him in the ass for him to trust me alone.
"Please!"
"No, it's not such a big deal."
"But-
"I thought you were bursting?"
"I cannot pee with you here. I am pee shy."
He rolled his eyes. "Just whack it out, and piss."
"I can't whack out what I don't have!" I huffed, frustrated.
He paused, blinking, before his head snapped toward me. "You are female?"
"You are the dog; don't you have a sniffer?" I grumbled.
I couldn't let them know I had no scent. The moment I wash they will know and I hoped to be out of their hair, or should I say, fur, by then.
"I apologise." He frowned, changing his tone. "The attitude makes sense now."
I gasped. "So does your stink ass smell!"
He frowned, narrowing his eyes at me. "I will count to twenty, and then I will be back. If you run, I will chase. You are injured, so you will not get far."
"Yeah, yeah, I know!"
I was nearly begging now.
He observed me once more, nostrils flaring, before turning and walking away five steps. Unable to hold it much longer, I rolled down my trousers and squatted, gratefully relieving myself. A sigh of satisfaction escaped me, gleeful that I could pee. Being in a forest meant I had no use of wiping amenities, so it was a quick shake and a hope for the best. But the moment I pulled my trousers up, someone manhandled me.
I squawked a complaint as they grabbed me by the throat and forced me against yet another tree. It amazed me I even managed to get my pants up.
"You are female?" They snapped.
I blinked; eyes wide as I stared up at Giometti. "I am?"
"I am asking you." His eyes narrowed, his nostrils flaring.
Gross. I just peed, wolfman.
"You..." He stated, frowning.
"Well done!" I drawled sarcastically, interrupting him. "Can you release me now?"
"Alpha will not be happy we hurt a female," Number two mumbled.
"Shut it, Emre."
"Your name is Emre?" My eyes widened.
He shuffled and nodded once. "It is."
"Two down, one to go," I grinned, eying the evil goon who scowled at me.
Giometti sighed and released me. "Get back in the car."
"Yes, Harold."
"You don't get to call me by name. I am Beta Giometti."
"You are no fun, Harrison."
He growled, pushing me a little too roughly into the back of the car. My knee bounced off some stupid metal mound at the back and I exclaimed in protest as I collapsed into the back. Then Harold shut the door on me, cutting off my noise and I huffed, sitting up to rub my knee better. They all walked around the front of the car, and I watched them with an annoyed glare. They seemed to converse, obviously angry about something, before Harold growled and threw his hand in the air dismissively.
Number one was still in the car and was watching me through the glass. I eyed his obnoxiously grey eyes, pale skin, and dark hair with distaste. His hair was long on the top, dark tendrils curling above his eyes, but the sides were shaven so that I could see some odd tattoos. It looked like clouds, or smoke, somewhere in between a fire and a thunderstorm. He wore long sleeves, but I just knew there were more tattoos littering his pale skin. He was a rather dashing looking man, definitely one I'd dream about, but he hated my guts and therefore became eternally ugly.
"What's your problem?" I glared back.
"You're annoying."
"You're annoying," I mimicked him. "How long is this journey to your lame pack?"
The car doors opened as he hissed, and I flickered my eyes over Harold and Emmie to see both of them frowning. Did their mummy take away their lollypop?
"Why the long faces?" I wondered.
"None of your concern."
"Prisoner, right?"
"Right." Harold nodded, starting the car up again.
"Can I at least know how long we have left until the boat?" I wondered, widening my eyes.
Dreams, hopes, imaginary fantasies all played in my mind as I awaited Harry's answer.
"No."
Screech, crash, bang. The dreams drove off a cliff. Smash. Destroyed.
"You're no fun, Harold." I huffed, repeating what I said earlier. "Whatever a beta is, must mean fun-destroyer."
Emre snorted. "Wait until you meet Alpha."
"What's that?"
He turned, looking at me exasperated. "You are so uneducated."
"Prisoners don't need education." Evil growled.
I curled my lip up at him in distaste, and Harry drove again. Emre smirked and entertained me.
"An alpha is a wolf who leads and has complete control of a pack. He is strong, smart, powerful and an outstanding leader." Emre explained. "A beta is his second, who helps him with ruling."
"So... what I understand is, an alpha is supposed to be a strong, amazing leader, and yet he needs help in form of a beta?" I snorted. "Doesn't sound so amazing to me."
Harry and Evil growled, and I glared at them. My words meant perfect sense; it wasn't my fault they were so stuck up their alpha's ass. No wonder he couldn't control a pack alone with dogs constantly begging to lick his balls.
"If I tell you how far, will you shut the fuck up?" Harold snapped.
"Maybe..." I sang.
"Human..."
"Okay, fine." I frowned.
"The boat is an hour away. We will arrive at the docks around midday."
"Lunch time?" I perked up.
"You said no speaking."
I sighed, sinking back onto the floor. "Fine."
Silence it is.

I must've dozed off, because the next thing I knew, someone banged loudly against the back of the car. It jerked me from slumber, and I scrambled to straighten up. My head was aching, a dull pain ricocheting around my skull. I was still painted with blood and dirt, and only hoped it did not infect my wounds, since I could definitely feel swelling in my eye.
"Human, you say. Why are you carting a human around?" A voice muttered.
I sat up, unable to see who it was through the tint of the window. I could make out a couple of shadows. One leaned up against the back door, blocking me from view. My throat was incredibly dry, and I swallowed harshly to clear the ache.
"She is to speak to the alpha regarding punishment." Harry's voice was hard, coming from the shadow to my right.
"A human? What could a human do that is so bad?"
"That is confidential," Harry grunted.
"Just give it to me. I can take it from your hands."
The shadow leaning on the trunk shifted their weight before they spoke. "Not gonna happen."
Yeah, you tell 'em Emre.
"I can smell the dried blood. What's saying another creature won't? One who isn't as kind as I?"
"So, you can drain them dry? I don't think so. They are our prisoner, our punishment." Harry scoffed.
Drain me? A vampire?
My eyes widened, desperate to see what was happening. It sounded a lot more interesting than what I could see. Sitting up on my knees, I pressed my hands into the door. I bet I could shift it if Emre's wide ass wasn't leaning on it.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, female."
I jolted, cursing softly as Evil's voice surprised me. Turning around, I peeked through the barred gap to see him watching me from his usual seat. I was about to retort something sarcastic when the view caught my eyes.
"We're on the boat?" I whisper-yelled.
"Yes."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Why should I?"
"I love boats!"
"I love peace and quiet," He grunted. "You snored though."
I glared at him. "I have no space back here. It's not like I can get comfortable to not snore."
He shrugged, lazily drifting his grey eyes away. "Whatever."
"Do I get to know your name, or do I have to guess again?"
His eyes flickered back to me, looking between both of mine as he thought about it.
"No."
"What?" I gasped. "You are just as lame as Harold."
"You don't call him by his name."
"What's going to happen? He going to curse me?"
"It's disrespectful. He is Beta to you."
I wrinkled my nose. "Lame."
Silence. I settled back onto the car floor. If he would not give me a name, I would make one up. Dark hair, grey eyes, annoying attitude. I may as well call him grey... Or... Bleak. Yeah, I will call him Bleak.
Sitting up, I was about to tell him of his new name when his body language caught my attention. Neo always told me that body language was the key to finding out someone's intentions. Bleak's spine straightened, and I noticed he had distracted me enough that I missed the conversation outside. I narrowed my eyes, watching as he stared at Harold and Emre through the glass. The strange vampire was nowhere to be seen.
Bleak nodded once and dropped his gaze. Harold's eyes flickered to meet mine through the tiny gap, and surprisingly, didn't narrow into a glare. I watched the two of them leave, before turning back to Bleak with curiosity.
"What was that about?" I wondered.
"The vampire or Beta Giometti?"
I grinned. "Both?"
He sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "Vampires like blood. You smell like blood. Simple. Vampire wants an easy blood bag, if you're a criminal, even easier to give up."
"I am a person." I scoffed.
"Blood bag," He stated, rolling his eyes. "Giometti was just telling me he was going to the store."
"There's a store?" My eyes widened with glee.
"A store you are not going to."
"What if I need to pee again?"
"Not happening."
"Poop?"
"Still not happening."
"Why not?"
"Bloodied prey animal with no license? Easy target." He tutted. "Plus, you get on my nerves."
"Ditto," I huffed, sitting back down. "But fine, since you are here to keep me company, we may as well get to know each other-
The car door opening and closing had my eyes darting back up to find he had climbed out. My mouth parted with disbelief, annoyed he just left me like that.
If this is what these wolves were like, I could only imagine how annoying the alpha would be.
