DRAWING HAIR (Pt. 2)
... Continued from the previous part.
Start erasing most of the parts of the hair using the same brush, Round Brush (Point), with opacity at halfway and a bigger brush size.
Go in the same direction as you drew the hair and in the same style.
Here's how it should look like vaguely. Just some parts of the lighter shade should show.
Select an even lighter shade from the wheel and round brush (point) at full opacity and brush size 34.
Add two more layers, one above the model and one below the model but still on top of both the layers of the hair already drawn (and erased.) Look in the image below to better understand.
Draw over the entirety of the hair as we did with the second shade. And again erase out most parts of it similarly as we did before.
And it should look something like this. Can you notice more dimension?! If you prefer, you can change the blending mode to add and lower the opacity of the layer if you want more lighting.
Lastly, add one more later on the very top and change it's blending mode to add.
Select Felt Tip Pen (Soft) brush and the lightest hue of the color you are using, from the color wheel.
Draw random dots on the length of the hair at some distance from each other.
Using the same Round Brush (Point) and smudge tool with low opacity and larger thickness of the brush start smudging in the same direction as style as you have been doing.
It was the final lighting touch. And we are done.
Excuse the ugly example. It was rushed. Hope you understand the concept tho!
