APPS AND WEBSITES I USE

Below are some apps and websites I use for graphic designing.

I am not asking you to necessarily get these but it will help you if you want to follow my tutorials.

I downloaded all these apps from play store. These are probably also available for iOS users.

1. PicsArt.

It is where I do all my major editing. From background to cutting pngs and getting the first draft done. I sometimes use the effects also but mostly editing.

2. Pixellab.

I use this app to add all my text. It has a feature which gives bevel effect which makes your graphics look professional. It has many other handy effects and features.

3. Photoshop Express.

This is where I add filters. It has some of the features of Photoshop. It is not the best but still good. You can also log in with your creative cloud id to get some premium features.

4. Oil Painting.

It gives your finished graphic a kind of topazy look. Though PicsArt also has this feature but it blurs the final result so I like using this app instead.

5. Polarr.

It is a very nice filter app that can give your graphics psd like colorings. You can create and share your custom filters and also import other people's filters through this app.

6. IbisPaintx.

I just recently started using this app and oh my God it's a live saver. It actually is a drawing app but you can also use it to create graphics. It works with layers and there are some cool effects available like adding Photoshop like glow around models and objects.

7. Gif Studio:

This app is like a mobile user's heaven for creating gifs. I edit my background on PicsArt and add it as a overlay on the gif studio app. The quality can be low but it's still awesome.

Some other great apps for mobile users are:

Superimpose.

Photoshop mix.

Photoshop fix.

Pixlr.

Picmonkey.

Befunky.

Some of these might need money for some features or crash. Some might not be compatible for your device or hang up or make your phone or tablet slow.

It's all a game of trial and error. You'll need to find the apps that best suit you by yourself.

Now on to the websites.

I usually only use websites for gifs.

1. ezgif.com

I use this site for cropping the gifs or sometimes adding effects on them. It requires a mouse to work properly as it don't let mobile users drag png images over the gif.

2. gifntext.com

This is where I add text and pngs onto the gifs. A word of caution though, this site tends to get laggy at times or stop altogether in between of editing.

Some other good apps to make gifs are gifstudio, picCollage and gifmaker. I'll try to add tutorials for that as well.

PicsArt can also make gifs but it is a bit complicated so I usually don't use it but if you would like a tutorial on that, comment on the first chapter.

I suggest refraining from getting into gifs before first acing the normal editing. It just won't help your confidence level if you fail at it.
