Servants walk around the temple cleaning and dusting the Crystal like room.

Suddenly the glass mirror in the middle of the room glowed bright as they all gathered around dusting their dresses standing up straight

The mirror's reflection sparkles as a Onyx steps out of the mirror with Obsidian.

"Get me out this disgusting clothes I smell of uncleanliness!" Onyx cringed as she holds arms out for the servants to take the jacket and
accessories off quickly "Yes your Majesty."

The Queen looks back at the mirror getting impatient waiting on Emma "Ugh where is that girl?"

A foot walks though the portal as everyone turns to see who it is, servants turned as all their eyes sparkle with wonder

It was a young girl with beautiful long blond curly hair going down her lower back with big dark pink eyes who looked to be a little older about 12 or 13 years of age.

"Um why is everyone staring at me?" She looks around a little uncomfortable finally speaking, she openings her mouth showing sharp fangs

It was Emma

"Emerald?" Onyx looked confused "Your body appearance changed, Obsidian?"

"Um it appears that our time zone is different than of earth's." Obsidian answered

"Well than let us get you out of dreadful clothes." Onyx looks her niece up and down with disgust at her earthly clothes "Ruby!!" She snaps her fingers

A young woman quickly comes to her side with a little red servant dress with a red gem on her cheek "Yes your Majesty?" She curtsied

"Accompany Obsidian in getting the princess into some more ... tasteful." Onyx gestures to Emma's clothes "Everyone!" She claps her hands getting everyone's attention "I would like all to meet your new princess Princess Emerald!"

The servant looked in amazement as they bowed in honor of the new princess.

Onyx turned to her niece who had her head down, she take two fingers and lifts her face up seeing Emma with tears rolling down her face with a sad face looking away not wanting to look at her

"Smile my dear you are royalty now." Onyx smiled "Go with Obsidian and she will get you into something elegant."

Emma wipes her tears trying her best to fake a smile "Okay."

"Good Girl." Onyx nods lightly pushing her forward to follow the woman.

"Right this way princess." Obsidian bowed as she leads her to the fitting room.

"Come on out your majesty we're all waiting for you!" Obsidian called out as she sits on a velvet chair with her legs crossed patiently waiting.

The door finally opens as Emma steps out with her new clothes wearing a gorgeous pink dress

"Why your majesty you look absolutely beautiful." Obsidian looked her up and down with pride for the dress she picked

"Thank you Obsidian." Emma blushed from the compliment

"We just have to fix one little error." Obsidian clapped her hands signaling Ruby bring a small blue box, she opens it holding a pair of fake teeth "We need to get rid of those horrible fangs." She step towards Emma who stepped back

"My fangs? What's wrong with my fangs?" Emma touched one of her fangs offended

"My dear, princesses don't have fangs, we have to live up to Queen Onyx's standers to be our best selves. And that starts with getting rid of the errors." Obsidian held them up for Emma to take

Emma turns away with an angry pout crossing her arms

"Be reasonable your highness, your Aunt has made a lot sacrifices to bring you here and you gave your blood oath you're not gonna go back on your promise are you?" Obsidian raises an eyebrow

She was skeptical but finally Emma took them, putting them in her mouth as they hide her fangs, she turns and looks in the mirror looking at her new gap toothed smile.

"Now you look like a princess." Obsidian smiles, lifting Emma's curly hair putting it in a tightly bun "Absolutely perfect." She claps her hands Ruby opens a box, putting a pair rhinestone earrings in her ears.

They suddenly hear shuffling as a young girl who looked to be about sixteen stands in the doorway, she had brown hair in a low sleek ponytail, her gem rested in the middle of her stomach as she fixed her dress

Obsidian frowned marching up to her "You are two minutes late! Don't you ever keep the princess waiting again."

"Yes Miss Obsidian i-it won't happen again." The girl curtsies in fear

"I know it won't, I know a lot of peasant girls who would kill to work in the palace." Obsidian gave one last glare before turning back to Emma "Princess Emerald I would be honor to introduce to your personal servant Jade!"

"Hi!" Emma waves friendly "I'm Emma!"

The girl blushed embarrassed before Obsidian roughly elbows her in the arm "The princess is speaking to you!"

"Oh U-Um i-it's a honor meeting you y-your majesty." Jade bows in respect

Suddenly there's a beeping sound Obsidian pulls out a communicator, looking at the screen "If you would excuse me I have matters to attend for the queen, Jade will give you the grand tour of the palace." Obsidian walks out of the room.

"So this is the dining room where gourmet meals will be prepared." Jade showed her the dining room

"This is the library." She shows her the enormous library

The girls pass by a blocked room that had a long lock and boards on the door. "Hey what's this room?" Emma touched the door knob

"Don't Touch That!" Jade quickly takes her hand, she realized what she just did getting scared "Forgive princess! I didn't mean to grab you like that!" She repeatedly bowed her head.

"Jade! Jade! It's ok!" Emma snorts, grabbed her cheeks making her stop bowing

"I'm sorry but we are not allowed to go in that room." Jade shook her head

"Why not?" Emma tilts her head confused

Jade looked around, making sure there is no one around "We are forbidden to talk about it but ... that is the temple where Queen Diamond fall into her coma."

Emma realize what she meant from Sapphire's story, her grandmother Queen Diamond was so heart broken by her mom leaving she went into a coma.

"Jade w-where is Queen Diamond?" Emma has actually meet or even seen her grandmother, it would make her feel better about losing her family if she meet her.

"I don't think we're allowed to."

"Come on Jade Pwease?" Emma gave her famous puppy eyes, even though she looked older she still had her secret weapon.

Emma looked around as Jade lead her down a long dark hallway

She finally stops at the two double doors, she opens it as Emma tip toes inside the white room

Lying in the bed lied a older woman with long white hair with a few grey hairs spread out on the bed, her arms were laid perfectly on her torso as she laid motionless.

"Grandma Diamond." Emma whispered as her eyes sparked looked in wonder at her grandmother as she stood by her side

She had never seen her before she just heard stories about her.

She was so beautiful.

Like a sleeping doll.

Emma was about to touch her hand to hold it but a figure roughly grabbed her and pulled her out of the room

There stood Queen Onyx who looked angry "What do you think you were doing ?!"

"I was just-"

"You will not bother your grandmother she is resting!" Onyx pointed a finger at her "And You will not enter this room again!" Emma tried her best not to cry from getting yelled at, she could her chest aching as it harden from holding back her emotions.

"And you!" Onyx she turns to Jade who squeaks out of fear "You know that the queen's room is forbidden!" Onyx stomps over to her until Emma got between them.

"Jade was just giving me a tour of the palace we got lost and ended up here." Emma lies as her eyes crossed from her lying

Luckily Onyx didn't know about her quirk

Onyx looked skeptical but just huffs "Just don't do it again! And correct your eyes, it's not ladylike to stare." She stomps off.

Emma looks at Jade who looks at her terrified "What's the matter?"

"Y-You're eyes." Jade pointed, she couldn't help but stare

"Oh don't worry it's just my derpy!" Emma giggles as she knocks the side of her head making her pupils bounce in her head.

"Y-You're derpy?" Jade asked confused

"Yeah I have a quirk where I can't lie! If I try to my pupils go in separate direction I call it going derpy!"

The girls breath a sigh of relief "Why did you lie to her?" Jade asked

"Well I'm not gonna just let you take all the blame we're in this together." Emma brings her close smiling as Jade gave a small smile

"So what now?" Emma puts her hands on her hips.

"Well we're scheduled to do your royal portrait." Jade leads her down the hallway

Jade opens the door as Emma walks in as she saw a man gathering art supplies he had rainbow colored hair in a short curly cut. He had an apron that covered in multiple different colors of paint, he looks up to see Emma "Ah princess right on schedule! Please take a seat!" He smiles as he blinks his red eyes gestured to a velvet pink throne

"Thank you mister-"

"Artisanan!" The man shook her hand

"This is Artisanan, he is the royal painter he has created beautiful portrait of the royalty since Queen Diamond became queen." Jade places a hand on the mans shoulder

"That's so cool!" Emma compliments him

"Well whenever your ready princess we can get started, don't worry it take but a minute." Artisanan pushes her forward

Emma sits in the chair as Artisanan gathers all of his supplies with a giant piece of portrait paper he lifts up his elbow revealing his red gem as pulls brushes out "Alright your majesty smile!"

Emma smiles a big smile but she couldn't help but still think about her family she left behind

She missed her brothers

She missed everyone

And she's sure they missed her

And she definitely missed them

"Princess Emerald are you alright?" Jade asked as she and Artisanan looked concern as Emma lifted her up as her face felt wet, she didn't even noticed she was crying.

"Yeah Yeah I'm fine." Emma wipes her tears away.

She knows Onyx would yell at her for not smiling

"Whenever I'm feeling unhappy I think of a happy memory." Jade comes close to her side, Emma gives a small smile and nods

"Artisanan can I close my eyes for this picture?" Emma asked the artist gem

"Whatever you want to do princess as long as your comfortable." Artisanan smiled nodding his head

Emma closed her eyes and tried to think a happy memory it took a while but she finally got one.

Her sixth birthday party, her whole family and April threw a party for her

And Mikey even baked her a cake!

Emma sighed calmly as she finally smiled thinking about the memory

"Don't move princess hold that pose!" Artisanan quickly got to work as paint flew everywhere while he focused hard after a few minutes

"This is definitely my best work!" He wiped a tear with pride "Such beauty! Such grace!, would you like to see your majesty?"

"Sure!" Emma walks over to them and looks at the huge painting of herself, her hair was big and out as she had her eyes closed with a graceful smile while he hands were laid perfectly in her lap."

"It so pretty thank you!" Emma hugged Artisanan who looked surprised from the hug. Emma let go worried that she did something wrong.

"You'll have to excuse me princess no one has hugged me since .... oh dear." Artisanan looked scared for a second. "Um let get this to the throne room before the Queen realize that it isn't there h-have a good your highness!!" Artisanan scrambles pushing them out of the door closing it

"Ok." Jade raised an eyebrow "Well um why don't we continue our tour." She leads back to the walk way of the royal castle.

Emma and Jade walk down the hallway, Emma looks out the window as she sees peasants people standing in a line that was very long. "Hey why is everyone standing outside?"

"Whenever people have a complaint or problem they come to the Queen for advice and guidance but the Queen doesn't forfill their wishes."

"Well that's not right!" Emma pouted with her hands on her hips "If people need help someone should help them."

"But no one else but the queen has the power to do it." Jade shrugs her shoulders

Emma thinks for a while before getting a bright smile on her face "I can do it!"

"Princess Emerald you? Are you sure?" Jade raised an eyebrow not to sure

"My dad always says 'help others even if they don't want help'" Emma does get best impression of Splinter, she looks out the window looking at all the people.

Two soldiers open the castle doors as a large amount of villagers marched in. Emma looked with surprise she wasn't expecting so many people, but she wanted to do something nice for her aunt and that was what she was gonna do!

The two men stand in each other's faces, puffing out their chest as Emma wiggles her small body in middle separate them. She takes both of their hands and puts them together, walking away as the two men shook hands smiling.

The woman still holding the fiddle brings the scissors closers to the last string, Emma stands on her tippy toes to grab the fiddle giving it back to the man. A servant bows holding a pillow with earmuffs on top.

Emma takes every cat and kitten off the cat room holding in her arms as she walks over to Jade who has a surprised smile as a servant holds a crafted made box gently putting the kittens in the box scratching one of their heads as it lets out a cute little meow.

Emma turns to the people shrugging her shoulders with a silly smile.

The people cheer happily.

Folks, the line starts there!

Emma kindly gestured them to the line as one by one they all came up with a problem as she patiently sat on the throne.

Jade takes the kittens from the servant, she looks back at Emma who was currently shaking a man's hand with a bright smile

She's got a skill for reigning

But folks are still complaining
So let's not throw confetti

Jade looks out the window seeing how the people had draw a crowd know that their finally getting the solution to their problems.

Jade smiles at Emma's determination and patience knowing Onyx she would of just send the people away without even hearing what they had to say.

She actually took the time to sit and listen to the people of the Kingdom finding different solutions to their problems.

"And that is last of those hideous vermin." Onyx looked down at a list as she walked down the hallway with Obsidian by her side.

Obsidian looks out the window seeing people standing in line "Hmm it seems that peasants are waiting."

"You have got to be kidding me." Onyx had an annoyed look on her face. "Rose!" A pink haired servant walked up to her "See that those peasants are dealt with."

"Oh they are your highness, Princess Emerald is handing the royal duties." The servant smiles making Onyx perk up, Obsidian gasps taking a step back knowing what's about to come.

"She's ... what?" Onyx's twitched as she slowly turns to the servant looking quite angry.

"She's in throne room as we speak!" The servant smiles but was suddenly grabbed by the wrist roughly as Onyx brings her close to her face while Rose looked absolutely terrified

"Take me to her Now."

"And a kitten for you, and a kitten for you."Emma smiled as she hands a kitten one by one to the people that were in the box that Jade was holding to the individual people.

"And a kitten for you!" She hands a black and white kitten to a little peasant boy "Thank you princess!" The boy smiles hugging his new pet cat.

"Make sure you take care of him ok?" Emma smiled ruffing his hair, the boy hugs her waist as she giggles returning the hug. "Bye!" She waves as the boy left

"Emerald!" Emma hears her name being called as she looks down to see Onyx standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"Oh hi Aunt Onyx!" Emma smiles waving at the top

"What do you think you are doing?" Onyx angrily asked.

"Well there were people gathering outside that needed help so I thought I want to help you since you were so busy" Emma walks down the stairs, finally making it to the bottom.

"You do not have the authority to let those filthy freeloads in this palace!" Onyx towers over her

"But I was just trying to help I-"

"From now on you will not do anything, you will not go anywhere, and you will not say anything without my say so!" Onyx takes a step forward as she rants while Emma took a step back.  "Do you understand?"

"But-" Emma tried to speak but Onyx grabs her wrist tightly

"Do you understand!!!" Onyx's gem glowed in anger as she tighted her grip.

"Y-Yes." Emma looked away as she trying her best not to cry, Onyx finally let go suddenly she groans as she holds her gemmed eye rubbing it to relax "Ugh just get out of my sight, Jade! show Emerald to her room!" She shoos her away as she turns leaving.

Jade comes to Emma's side who holds her now bruised wrist in pain as they both walk off.

The walk to the room was quiet, Jade looks over to Emma who silently had her head down walking. After what felt like a whole hour they finally reached a door.

"We're here your majesty." Jade broke the tension between the two girls, she turns the knob opening door as Emma looks up to her new room.

Emma looks around at her new high class surroundings "It's beautiful thank you." She gave a small smile but quickly frowns sadly.

"Are you alright princess?" Jade asked concern.

"Yeah I'm fine." Emma lies as her eyes slowly separates

Jade now knew she was lying but she didn't want to say anything.

"Well I'll be standing by your door if you need me." Jade does a small curtsy.

"Ok thank you Jade, good night." Emma started to close the door as Jade turned around to guard her door.

Emma walks around her new environment, looking at the desk and the large bookshelf, the handcrafted fireplace as a small fire warmed up the room. She opens the large closet greeted at what looked to be thousand of dresses!

She was living every little girls dream

Unfortunately for Emma she wasn't to happy about it

Emma pushes the silk curtains back as she walks onto the open balcony, she leans over siting as she looks over to the city underneath her.

She let's out a sad sigh as her eyes turned blue with sadness as she crossed her arms resting her head while the wind blew though her long curly hair

Something blew out of her pocket about to go over the edge but Emma quickly grabs it with one hand.

Emma looks at her new room with disgust, with a squint eye filled with tears her eye got wider as her eye glowed dark purple, mixture of the sadness and anger.

She takes out the fake teeth freeing her sharpen fangs as she throws the teeth hard on the ground.

Emma's hair blows back as she finally releases her sadness, blast of mist turns the whole room blue from the roof to the floor.

A single tears rolls down her face as she watches the fire in the fireplace die while she silently sobbed laying down in a cradling position on her side with a sad frown on her face
